    it definitely doesn't effect you the same every spawn as well. sometimes my guy won't stop whining no matter how much he stuffs his face other times i'm just running for hours without a peep those messages are almost as vague a description as "badly damaged water bottle" is the water badly damaged or the container? do i get aids from it? while they're both novel ideas, 1-100% indicators would be more clear, with seperate indicators for any contents. the old dayz mod let you plan when you were going to eat, based on some coloured indicators. now hunger and thirst are complex and based on running speed and a whole load of stuff, while i like having to drink more if i'm running a lot, it seems like it could be implimented better.

    any sharp impliment other than bayo will work now. there is can opener tuna doesnt need knife or can opener my advice is for you to just work it out. you need food, water, weapons, medical supplies, clothes, maybe spare boots. pistol can get a scope too, its just rare. melee is being developed. baseball bat is for concusson. you use it to knock a player out ideally. crowbar needs buff just use the axe for now. chainsaw is coming, and the rest of it will be fixed later on. running in circles is always good i havent had any issues with loot zombies are in development, more will be added. the original standalone suggestion thread suggested there would be herds wandering about eventually.

So, since it's gone now i'll tell you all where i used to make camp. in the mod there was an area to the north of NEAF with a dam and a small farm spawn. i returned there to see if anything had changed, and came across a new East/west railway, some new farm buildings, and some new garages. to the east is a new town with plenty of civ loot spawns, and just above NWAF there's a very quiet military spawn nobody has noticed yet. (this is past NWAF's new tent spawns by some distance, in it's own compound) the new areas make up for the loss of my beloved dam, but it seems a bit of a shame, as this was one of the nicest parts of the map. i've encountered several issues so far, none of them particularly glaring. 1: ushanka takes a single space but bandanas and caps take two? 2: occasionally a dropped item will disappear (probably known bug) 3: FX .45 pistol spawns seem very common. their magazine spawns are not (shouldn't it be the other way around?) 4: 20 round 7.62 cannot be split up for use in mosin nagant. at one point i was running around with a rifle with ammo, but couldn't use it. (MN is 7.62 right? i'm not losing it?) 5: badly damaged cola..? does that give me increased chance of infection than pristine cola? they're a sealed container, like the cans... my point is that the damage to these isn't particularly explained anywhere. is badly damaged thick and lumpy? Or has the can been battered about a bit? 6: badly damaged water bottle... again, is this talking about the contents or the container? 7: glasses+fairground masks can be attached at the same time and clip 8: ushanka+ fairground masks clip 9: large gas cannister>>>gas stove = poof gas stove gone from invent 10: water purification tabs + water bottle = poof, no more water purification tabs. the pack was full... suggestions 1: get rid of 40% of balota military camp's "two door hut" buildings. currently you can just run about like mad and server hop, you've got a full invent of military gear on spawn 2: get rid of at least two of balota airfield's barracks, or make them spawn less weapons. combined with the military camp there and the aircraft control towers i came across 6 M4A1's on a single server, (all right next to the spawn) i'm guessing the M4A1 is just a placeholder for *every other gun* right now, so this might not be as bad when the game is closer to completion, but that's still quite a lot of weapons to just place on people's doorstep. 3: (possibly the most important suggestion) while i'm not sure exactly of gaffa tape's use ingame, i'd quite like to be able to stick it to things, maybe even use it as a tripwire. (click on one thing, you stick your roll down, drag, click again, and you've stuck a line) gaffa tape should also be useable on most things to repair them a grade, as tape is god. 4: following directly on from tape, why can't i put this rifle scope or this PU scope onto my M4? even if it doesn't fit i have plenty of tape. 5: that rifle scope looks more like a modern RIS attached one than the ww2 MN one. so does it attach by RIS? if it does i should totally be able to put it onto the m4. 6: burlap sack over shoulder 7: why can't you carry two rifles if you can carry rifle/axe eh's can you repair stuff? i can't myself getting anywhere repairing an ACOG with a hammer. if you can't repair anything currently i'd suggest adding a sewing kit and a soldering kit amongst other things. can you get pristine rotten fruit? is a badly damaged banana mouldy or bruised? chernarus is russian right? that's why all the signs are in russian, right? there's not a cloud of psychoactive smoke in the air then? because i'd assume 7.62 ammunition would be far more common than 5.56 in russia.... so why have i only come across 60-120 rounds of 7.62, but over 1000 rounds of 5.56? come to think of it, why is there so much magpul gear floating about? nerf 5.56 spawns buff 7.62 spawns buff .45 acp spawns massively nerf magpul items spawns. it didn't seem strange while i was playing, but now i've made the point that AK47's are going to be all over the place (well, i made that point indirectly.) (now i made it directly too, i guess.) it seems like magpul (a.) an american company, b.) nice ergo products that also aren't that cheap) wouldn't be as abundant as it currently is.     they're more like uncommon. everything seems to be around in more abundance in SA. m4 with normal attachments is common. hoxton mask (badly damaged) is common. there are other types of mask and the (pristine) version is much more brightly coloured. these seem to be at least rarer than other headgear. new contender for rarest: M4 handguard RIS FNP45 MRD BUIS (backup ironsights) Mosin M44 compensator chainsaw (???) shotguns(????)

    if you see him and he sees you and he shoots you, you're left thinking "but why didn't i shoot him?" the solution is to shoot him this is for after sneaking up isn't an option

    weapons galore at military spawns. you got less FNX mags than you do M4 mags though. i've also found many painkillers/antibiotics but still not as many as i've found M4s and coyote backpacks

    nah plenty about. painkillers+ antibiotics. they only come in badly damaged-worn with some already used most commonly, only found them in toilet areas in military areas. or like blood bags and blood tests in good condition are rare too.     ^ how to be a new player and not a noob. DayZ is a scavanger hunt. try to look for signs a player has been around. if you're in a low pop town and you see lots of open doors, empty cans, or starter gear, you could be in for a fight. if you're going to NWAF and you see a trail of taken gear you're most likely only five minutes behind another player.

    just stick with it, without the learning curve and having to work stuff out it wouldn't be as fun. also, you're going to run into 'superior' twats like zedsdead a lot, so learn to shoot first and ask questions later playing as a hero usually means you have a life expectancy of 10 seconds after you meet your first player. neutral is the way to go
