i used to always run with one buddy at once. i'd just collect his gear if he got shot and sneak away, to give it him back later. actually forget my first post. body loot should decay some, but the body shouldnt go away. if you die later on in dayz you'll just be able to come back to your base and refit your gear.

i saw one guy who found a blue press vest in the boat. cool indeed. the new town when it's finished will have even more buildings. right now there's an industrial building with no spawns, a long way away from anything, next to some docks. this implies there will be more buildings between the current ones and the docks/factory. there's also a nice stairway on either side of one of the roads here that looks like it will have yet another row of houses. there's a crossroads there that has a pub on all corners, but the pubs on the far side aren't currently connected. this could mean up to FOUR MORE rows of houses on this side only. this brings this town up to balota with it's spawns, (minus meds) in short, every building there is lootable and has multiple floors of loot. i filled my inventory with pristine food, large gas stove, and many other decent finds, as well as a cool camo bandana and some rocket aviators, and a brand new raincoat.

i'd quite like to see zombies with lootable gear, but not a whole survivor full. maybe if you die from infection you come back as a zombie but only your backpack(with the top line of items only) shirt(emptied) pants(emptied) remain in a decayed state. otherwise perhaps a 30 minute timer for the body? i dunno. looting your own body is against the idea of having to survive but there's not really an issue with it. it's just a dead guy. perhaps all your items should decay when you die? (i think they already do actually?) also, there's a probability somebody else stumbles across your corpse and takes your loot anyway. no real need for change, but room for change.

they didn't know there wasn't any loot, they were too busy beating eachother up. -
yes. currently there is: above NWAF a new military camp above NWAF outside and north some another new military spawn north of both of those, there's an east-west train line that runs the length of the map. can be easily used for navigation NWAF-NEAF. at the center is a train station with low civ spawn. new in the center-ish of the map north of the train line are several farms, garages that seem to spawn a lot of headgear, close to a football pitch. north of NEAF and balota is a new town with lots of civ spawns, it has plenty of stuff and nobody goes there. it's in the same place as the old estuary. this area of the map was only implimented yesterday in the update, i went up the day before and nothing was up there. therefore you can assume these already beautiful areas are still under construction, and will have even more spawns later on. most of these spawns are within sight of the train line, and there is little further north. however, this makes survival and looting from your probable camp locations very easy, and makes perminant survival north of NWAF possible, even without animals. in short; expect to have the feeling you're completely safe and alone up there. all the loot is as good as yours, and there seems to be a high proportion of pristine items up there. this is the only place i've found the not-faded pristine carnival masks

i spawned at balota at the same time as four other people. they all immediately started beating eachother up, i ran into the military camp, found some handcuffs, ran back, and handcuffed the victor people need to learn to get along in situations where there's litterally no value in killing. fistfight to the death for no loot? yeah good idea -

with the (presumed) addition of non-lethal weapons (probably after the systems for them are developed, like tranquiliser darts), as well as ammo becoming more scarce (rocket said something about wanting it to be more of a hunt to find items you want), you may see a decrease in KOS. people won't want to use their precious ammunition, or you'll be able to stun them, (loot them) and move away after the game gets more established people will forget the mod and start to cooperate. pvp wont go away though, people like being bandits. even with less ammo and tranquiliser darts in your favour you're still gonna get shot at. if you want you can add me on steam and i'll show you the new military spawns above nwaf, and we could go to the new town -

RE4 had little ammo scattered around. this made it hard. it also made it hard to keep a surplus of ammo. the difference between RE and DZ is that DZ is unscripted, so it's all based on a % chance to spawn, rather than just a spawn. SO; you reduce the 5.56, 7.62, .45acp spawns to ABSOLUTELY fuck all. i want people walking around with 3 bullets this means people will be less eager to use one of their three bullets on your skinny ass. as well as doing this, there should be a variety of Non-lethal weapons. Tranquilisers Gas powered pellet rifles paintball guns BBguns a taser -

so we're agreed that 7.62 should be all over the place even in civ spawns .45acp should be military only (common-uncommon) 5.56 should be military only (med-rare) magazines for anything should be military only and rare. magpul should be rarer M4 should be rarer than it is. it's listed as rare already, but we gotta remember that the m4 is basicly a placeholder for "any gun" right now. ak-47 should be common, all over the place, but most of them should be in terrible condition. this also adds a benefit to using the mosin nagant, in that you won't need to look for a magazine. -

but there's more 5.56 than 7.62 at the moment. i'd be perfectly happy with 7.62 being in abundance, because it makes sense, but .45acp and 5.56? in rus? naaaah. i do agree with you actually. magpul shit needs to be very rare A) magpul is US company B) magpul is not too cheap C) magpul is not issued actually i prefer the idea of mags being scarce rather than ammo. you should be forced to chamber a single round until you find a 30/40/60 magazine which should take you a full trip around balota, nwaf, neaf to find. -

Vitamin pills+ increased food/drink intake. to regenerate blood you need to increase your energy levels past what they would usually be. dayzSA is about preparation. blood test yourself. AB+ means you are god. take a blood bag before you need it, and regenerate blood over time with vits+f/d as i stated before. you now have to fill a blood bag with your own blood unless you know A) your blood type B) your donor's blood type C) that they both match/are compatible. IDEAL partner blood type: O- (compatible with all as donor) IDEAL personal blood type: AB+ (compatible with all as recipient)

i'm aware of that. if i state my ideas there's a chance they get noticed, so i thought i would. this is by no means a complaint thread. dayzSA runs 500x better than arma2 did for me already. for an alpha that's fucking phenominal if you think about it. (BF4 alpha was the lag) if in future it's a real scavenger hunt for useable ammo i'd be happy. i want my gun to blow up occasionally because im using a badly damaged bullet. i want to have to search for a weapon and find nothing but a small motor, a pipe and a rock, and i want to be able to make a Rock it launcher from them. non-lethal weapons should be a big part of dayz for the sake of players who want to be neutral. i'd also like to be able to carry a secondary rifle rather than spade/axe -

this "system" has the advantage of: not imposing any actual restrictions on banditry, FKA mental health bullshit increasing realism: i dont find 5.56 mags full of ammo lying about all over the place IRL non-lethals give a neutral player the chance to sneak up on somebody who isn't necessarily friendly and disable them without risking death. -
i think there should be working tanks. the problem with a tank is that it's tracks will break after 40 miles and it'll run out of petrol before you get over the closest hill. just make the ammo for it as rare as those demo charges from the mod nobody would use it because it'd be slow and terrible and useless, but it'd be there. what most people want is just shitloads of all stuff. not high end particularly, but just stuff. the more stuff there is the less common each weapon is civ or farms need mosin/22 rifle spawn or something.

yes. you take some of your own blood and afterwards eat and drink more than you usually would, and pop some vitamin pills to increase your blood production (seriously) afterwards it's there for when you need it. SA is about thinking ahead
