increased scarcity of bullets (if you have 2 bullets maybe you want to keep them.) degraded ammunition increased amounts of zombies (people won't KOS anyone if they need more than their group to deal with herds) random spawns for everyone with totally random inventory -
so currently we've got some webbing in the game, stab proof vests, press vests, and chest holsters. however, i was wondering if the reason we haven't seen any MOLLE yet is that they're implementing something like the rifle attachment system for it whereby you can, for instance, add a MOLLE pistol holster and a dump pouch to your tactical vest, as well as adding ballistic plates. it'd be a cool feature if they've not already thought of that. leg holsters too and bandoliers and MOLLE bandoliers

you should spawn at a completely random location on the map with totally random civ clothes and civ loot you'd expect to find a person carrying, for instance: spawn: the pass far north of NWAF inventory: hiking boots, general hiking attire you have been hiking. alt: you spawn at the new train station in the center-north of the map. invent: dead cell phone and pen-knife, wearing a suit and uncomfortable dress shoes you have been business before the apocalypse (this would be rather than just always spawning with a tshirt and torch. i think it should be an option, but not a standard.) so basicly you spawn with an assortment of low-med grade civillian gear that a standard "non-apocalypse" person may be carrying, maybe some things in pockets, probably not a backpack unless a hiking spawn there shouldn't be a 100% chance to spawn with a torch. -

6hours light :3 hours dark moonlit dark current dark ruins the feel of the game, in the light it's beautiful, but in darkness it's just pitch black and everyone gamma cheats. -

once there are 4000+ zoms about people will want more firepower available to their disposal rather than another can of beans. when you need more firepower to take down all the zombies at nwaf than you have, you'll need to cooperate. currently its easy though; hence KOS

Why do we already have so many 24/7 daylight servers?

people would play night if you could see shit without screwing with gamma. full moon nights in my experience give an eerie but clearly visible view of countryside. can play on night, don't want to play on night. -
server hopping for loot is against the idea of the game. i tried it on release day just to see if it could be done, and decided it's too OP to be allowed. HOWEVER: i quite like being able to change servers, i like running around in daytime because night ruins ArmA's looks (needs moonlit) (i CAN play at night, i just don't WANT to play at night)

combat in ARMA and dayz is about rolling around inside trees and leaning in various directions. the movement system feels more real to me than most other games, especially with the fatigue system and the reduced movement speed with a weapon pointed. or increased with weapon slung the new animations are great.

if you are just low on blood: Eat: pristine or good food (more than your hunger.) drink: water (not cans. cans are unhealthy.) eat: vitamin pills in future: fill a blood bag with your own blood before you run into issues and regenerate blood in this way nobody seems to have tried vitamin pills. saline drip too blood test your friends and yourself, see if you're compatible

i have a list of the russian placenames and their translations on my phone incase i get disorientated now. since i know all of the town's names, and quite a few of them by sight, this means i can get my bearings without much effort. the issue with only doing it visually is that you still have a chance of getting lost, and this means you stop learning the map and start panicing about your location. compass obviously negates any disorientation and that issue where sometimes you'll run along a road for a while and accidentally get turned around a bit. the hills around starry sobor are very distinct, if you're walking to NWAF from the coast they're a good marker for when you're close by. also, if you're a fresh spawn going to NWAF there's now a stream running at least 1-2km the way to NWAF from balota.

regarding M4's remember they're currently a placeholder for EVERY OTHER GUN no matter how bad that gun may be so some of those m4's could be replaced with crossbows, 22 rifles, other pistols, other rifles, non-lethal weapons etc. also weapons don't seem to degrade at the moment and i'm sure they will in future. this means that you'll <eventually> see random weapons spawning in these places, many of them badly damaged.

find a compass and get to know the map. i compass is civ loot or in cereal boxes dont hang around the coast unless you're going to berezino or the new town if you have a second monitor use a chernarus map on it occasionally as a crutch while you learn it. eventually you'll be able to match up contours you see to the map you remember. there is now a railway that runs the whole length of the map (east-west in a straight, flat line) from the new town (north of berezino, near NEAF) that you can use for navigation getting to NWAF very easily. there is water and civ spawns across the length of this new train line. there is a new military spawn north of NWAF at the north side of nwaf there is also a new military camp bigger than balotas
