    no. the vest already has plates inside it. note it's thickness and the weight compared to a uk assault vest. (uk vest weighs less than 1kg and the plate carrier weighs 12kg)

    "from parts you can find in any hardware store" this is EXACTLY the stuff we need in dayz. things you can make from everyday objects that become more useful. stick a fork into the cork for lethal force also chernarus is basicly ukraine and not part of russia, and the soviet part is not relevant since everything east of berlin was soviet until like 1990. it's more of a 2015 ex-soviet rural area.

    there just needs to be more content in general and people won't notice. if there is an abundance of weapons and clothing that are attractive (not worse than military clothing for space necesarily) and other fun stuff that trumps military gear in new and original ways, IE a player crafted air canon/projectile canon that knocks people back or over, rather than just outright killing them. clothing-wise i think if there was a trenchcoat with 6 slots nobody would ever wear military gear. the problem is that it's quite hard to animate clothing like trenchcoats because they go over multiple layers of your body including a pivot point.

    wait your post just made me think of something. if the bug is related to tents and the loot is now spawned on a per-building basis, then all you'd need to do to trigger it again would be set up your tent inside the building.

    yes but if Loot distribution per buildingsthen camps won't effect it. if this was how to trigger it then there is no loot bomb at all now.

    the problem with the idea that i cant move fast in ghillie is i can just get soaked through and use my heating up to dry me rather than taking overheating damage and needing to cool by removing clothes.

    i found one within 5 minutes of logging on after patch. they seem to spawn very easily from T72 wrecks and truck wrecks. i have so far seen 3 or 4 pristine 1 worn, only been through a few military locations. if you don't know good places to go for these types of spawns, i'd suggest looking north of severograd, since there are a lot of truck wrecks up there. the model is very nice. it's light brown solid, and goes REALLY nicely with paut/gorka. like i said it has no storage space as of yet, so that's a downer. other than that i haven't been shot yet so i just don't know. it suggests that if you wear it you will survive bodyshots from most weapons. i'm guessing that this and the ballistic helmet will now be a powerful combination. the ballistic vest really completes the "assault" role equipment. (snipers already have their ghillie, and these are clearly meant for players with backpacks.

    carrying heavy items like the ballistic vest reduces your stamina noticeably (12kg) even in backpack

    cleaver is back in. i've seen the trumpet .22 and it's very nice. disassembled takes 2x3 (6) slots the ballistic vest is 3x2 (6) and weighs 12kg. the pouches are not in the game yet.

    i have plenty of food, over 200 SKS ammo, 10 burlap, sprays, tape, nets, a spare PET, two improvised silencers, makarov and 3 mags with ammo, and a plate carrier in my pack for when i come under fire, and i still feel like i have plenty of room, like i just have a pristine tssko jacket in my pack with a hacksaw i don't need. already got pristine gorka.

    Even if it was gorka, plus a ghillie hood I can heat up. actually gorka full causes you to overheat with just a radar cap and a SPOSN pack. i suggest getting soaking in this stage of the alpha being as you dry off very fast on hot servers. ​i actually find heating quite easy to manage. i feel like i should be able to put a weapon on my other shoulder.

    they don't spawn afaik. ran round about 10+ iterations of mil spawns and only found (p) carrier and (d) carrier. no pouches. also dont think the pouches models are ingame yet. just a clarification; the vest and the ballistic helmet are best used together. the vest has no attachments yet.
  23. so far my impressions of this update are very good. for one thing, you now take a 100ml swig from the single drink function on PET bottle. other than that, i'm seeing glasses spawning at all military locations now, don't know if they were disabled or just now added to them, but they're there now. the ballistic vest is very nice, and goes really well with gorka, no clipping at all. weighs 12kg without pouches, reduces stamina even in backpack. yet to test the improvised silencer. what are your impressions on this patch?

  25. i have an AKM mag, does that count as a part? i think i had some weird invent issues myself though, i was carrying a mosin scope and compensator, and have been searching for a mosin for days, and this has been replaced by 7.62 SKS ammo after the patch... i have like 300 rounds for some reason. weird. found trumpet .22 - disassembled takes 2x3 slots. looks nice. made several suppressors - seems too easy to make them, but i guess you could do that irl. got a ballistic vest - i don't think pockets/holsters for it spawn yet./are in the game at all.
