accidental doublepost merged, thanks max

i don't think this should be added for everything. make some things sprayable but not every clothing item, and certainly make helmets, masks etc sprayable. the leather clothing is a good example of what should be sprayable, since it's a pretty skilled thing to be making, to be fair. what i would like to see is more colours of spraypaint

okay, how about putting a book into the game with some information on bog iron -
since i joined the forums in like 2013 or so? plenty i just got back to playing the game after giving my opinions of the first stage of alpha, like a year ago. you'll probably see nothing from me until beta or release after a few weeks. i'd like to see a secondary use, that's a pretty decent idea. perhaps tie a few of them together into a makeshift bullet umbrella.

digging tool finding deposits of undiscovered and unmined iron i never said that they'd be easy to find. i'd suggest adding random % spawns of iron and other minerals including but not limited to iron and coal. put these veins underground, only spawning in the correct geology hills. there is currently a ready-developed mine near severograd, perhaps fill that up with ore too. -

what do you think of the current inventory block system?
Wookieenoob replied to Wookieenoob's topic in General Discussion
yeah it's an improvement, but there are certainly changes that can be made. always good to see what people think -

i don't expect this anytime within this year, or anything like it. i'd expect more melee improvements before full release, though. this is just one way they could go about it. -

or melt down the scrap if there's no way to use the pickaxe as a pickaxe planned why is it there? surely it's more a case of heating it until it's not solid anymore, and you'd work it out from there. i don't know, 1500c? 1000c? 800c? 3000c? surely if you just keep heating it up you'll work it out. i never said what the ingredients for the forge would be. notice the anvil in the suggested items? that'd be a pain to move just on it's own, i was considering saying you might need a vehicle to move it. -

i think this comes under the heading of "you could probably work it out" i believe that, and correct me if i'm wrong, there are planned "passive" skills eventually. this could be one of them. maybe you take a pickaxe and hit some rocks, get some bits of ore, and play with heating them into a mould. maybe the first try of each item is terrible and already ruined. maybe to get a pristine one you need to make like 8 or 9 -
Wanna be a Tent Raider? Tips on Finding Campsites in DayZ
Wookieenoob replied to ScorePoint's topic in Gallery
i used to be really good at finding tents in dayzmod but i think tent mentality changed a lot between mod and standalone, not to mention people seem to hop a lot more often. before it was just take a dirtbike across the northern border of the map and you always found tents. -
surely you could work out how to make a decent bow or loaf of bread after a few failed or improvised attempts

we need bagels too you can store 30 of them on your mosin

not the shotgun i was thinking about. -
are the persistence bugs gone with the new patch?
Wookieenoob replied to domonos's topic in General Discussion
there was loot the choppers just never move and never respawn loot on persistent servers. -
i've never thought of dayz as a run n kill deathmatch. even if it is all about fighting there's going to be up to 20km of walking between each fight.

what do you think of the current inventory block system?
Wookieenoob replied to Wookieenoob's topic in General Discussion
obviously not. while i feel like you should be able to take a weapon on your second shoulder, i think the current weapon storage options would need to stay, IE half a pack for AKS or not at all for most weapons, and 4 slots for even the smallest pistol. that would need to stay, big blocked out areas of pack for weapons. but for other items it'd work. a can would take up quite a large amount of space, but you'd be able to pack things around it. a shirt would take up less space and you'd be able to pack stuck right up to it. there should be an option carefully to fold clothing before you put it into your pack so that it takes less space. honestly i think they should make the backpack spacing volumetric. IE a system where you physically place the items in your pack and need to remove your pack to get them out, like a real pack. that way you're rewarded for carefully arranging your pack, so when you put it out all your items rez out inside it like a mini-tent -
i really don't think so. constraints to keeping horses based on feed and watering don't apply when you're running between waterholes and fields that your horse will eat from. if anything it'd be easier because there's no farmers running with shotguns because you're eating their crops.
-
That is how they are coded. To be able to make a Shirt "move" with your head, they would have to tweak with character skeletons, clipping issues, ALOT of things. this is coming anyway. half of the clothing people want is two layered, or hanging. i know for a fact that this won't work straight up in most games, including arma. IE trenchoat.

yeah it was a total accident crossposting this. thanks for cleaning it up for me max
