  1. who said shit about distance? And if I can see his face, I should know who he is. period. No hud ≠ realism. Stick that in your head fellas, unless you have sense of touch, sense of smell, sense of taste, sense of pain and peripherical vision ingame having no hud doesnt equal realism, but the opposite. A hud is a must precisely for the sake of realism. Same goes for face recognition, the unique reason I think a grouping system is needed ingame. Just to have a friends list who you can recognize when you see them (and not persistent through dead. After dying you have to re-meet everyone).

    Counteracting server hoppers

    When respawn is implemented I hope they create a system like minecraft, when server only creates loot the very first time it is launched and from then on it will just respawn and recycle loot based on some mathematical algorithm, regardless of the server being restarted or not. Same goes for drops and corpses, instead of disappearing on server restart they should have a timer (24h or so, maybe automanipulated depending on server CPU usage) and disappear after that time, regardless if the server is restarted or not in the middle of that timer. This would avoid servers restarting on every hour for easymode/happyloot game along with lessening the server hopping problem. This would essentially turn on teleport mode ingame.

    Should walkie talkies have text chat?

    Walkie talkie not only should equate to side chat, but also to a lot of chats. When you enter the game you should only have direct chat, but one of the first objectives of any player should be to find a walkie talkie and then opening up a bunch of chats (or frequency channels for realism), with both mic and text (since obviously not everyone has a mic, and not everyone can use a mic all the time, theres people sleeping in my house past 12:00 pm). Some of those channels could be for group (incase grouping is added) or go with full realism, adding a lot of channels and also encryption code. So me and my friends can have a channel for us and an encryption code manually added to our walkie so no one else can understand anything we text/say even if they get our channel (besides, would be fun to kill someone and take his walkie to find out the code). Another tips is, unless you're using some earphones, anyone around you (including zombies) should be able to hear what cames out of your walkie.

    And why do we have to balance it? if im good im good dude. Wind/bullet drop/sway/recoil (no matter how good you are theres ALWAYS sway and recoil) and leave the rest to me. If I compensate properly, I deserve to hit. No need for balance.

    Not being a soldier doesn't magically makes your weapon less accurate, but makes you less capable of compensating for sway or handling recoil. So if not being a soldier is a valid excuse, then just ++sway and ++recoil and were all happy then. Ive tried shooting a weapon and for me sway was already a hell of a problem past the 10m, and ofc Im no soldier, so if this is the standard, so be it. But magical inaccuracy is a no go ....

    - similar calibers with similar performance are to be grouped. - similar diseases with similar treatments are to be grouped. - similar technology with similar features are to be grouped. (if they ever add any phone are you guys going to argue about a Galaxy i9100 using Android 4.3 instead of 4.1.2 which is the last one the device can use?) - and what the fuck is this 9V same type of batteries fitting everywhere??? - also why are all the players same heigh and complexion? I want to be able to choose mine! They can't code the fucking entire world, and theres a lot of things I want before 98217198571 different calibers, why should they catter to your realistic petitions instead of my also realistic petitions? I actually find much more important that they take in count the weapon's chamber when reloading so you can have 30+1 bullets, or different ammunition types like hollow points, or they revolver keeping the fastloader IN after realoding (dafuq? O.o) or shooting 60 bullets from a double mag withouth reloading, and more like this. But difference about 7.62x51 and 7.62x54R? I dont give a shit.

    If they gonna add all the calibers in the world they shold also add all the diseases, all types of poop (as someone already stated xD), all type of clothes, all the bones in the human body plus all type of fractures for each, etc etc etc. I think having all the similar calibers grouped is a good idea, im the one not giving a crap about it. I would give a crap if you just would find ammo boxes magically reloading all the weapons, or even grenades, as most fps out there. But having to take in count some pistols use small calibers (22 short) while others uses medium caliber (9mm/.45) or having 5.56, .338 and .50 BMG as different types of ammo is realistic enough for me. Same goes for injuries, taking in count I can break my leg is something I dont have to worry in most games and I do have in this one, this is what makes it special. I dont care if character always breaks the same leg, always bandages the same wound, or whatever. Games where meant to entertain while challenging you. Thats what made them different from any other form of art.
  10. Something interesting I already wanted to discuss in here came up on another thread and I would like to see what people thinks about it. This is an issue I would like to adress. Isn't realistic (nor fun) at all to camp a building you literally saw someone getting in and you are sure he never came out but when after 30 wasted minuts you decide to go in... building is empty! He logged out (may be combat log, may be he didn't even knew you where there) and you have been wasting 30 minuts of your life. Or the other way around, you are inside an empty building camping the entrance while your friend loots it and suddenly someone kills you from behind, inside the building!! He logged in and you had no idea, thought you were safe inside that empty building HA! Well, not realistic nor fun again... so this is why I think If someone logs in/out near of you in a range of lets say 50m a message should appear on screen "Someone logged in in the vicinity" "Someone logged out in the vicinity" This would help prevent combat loging, ghosting and unfortunate coincidences.

    For fairness the player loggin in should also receive a message. "care, theres players in the vicinity" Both messages should be well timed (not sending the message to one guy while the other is still on black screen). Besides, when I log in in a hot spot I always enter paranoia mode and check the building I am or watch everything around anyway. This game is a 100% about situational awareness.

    Thats a yes. No players list, but YES to friends list online, and to the name of the server and current population status (though not the number, but an approximation like 20-/20+/Full. Also your ping and desync).

    You didnt know his name to begin of so having a player list wont do nothing to know if he combat logged or not. However this is an issue I would like to adress, not just combat loggin but also loging in. If someone logs in/out near of you in a range of lets say 50m a message should appear on screen "Someone logged in in the vicinity" "Someone logged out in the vicinity" Reason? besides camping an empty building like and idiot cuz you saw someone get in and he never came out, theres also the time when someone spawns IN the building you are and you previously checked te be sure its empty. So if you see a message of somebody loggin in, check again the building you are, just in case.

    How difficult would you like the game to be?

    I dont want the game to be unforgiving as if that means you are going to die easily all the time. This is what I don't like about the game already. There's no surviving, you just go fine fine fine fine fine fine fine fine -> dead. Wheres the struggle and the surviving??? I would like to get sick AND survive, to get hurt AND survive, to have a sprained ankle forcing me to limp for half and hour. To have permanent but non lethal injuries ocurr to me, like losing view from one eye, hear from one ear, losing some fingers or a hand (just one xD), getting a hardly curable respiratory disease causing my char to go tired easily or chronically injured by a poorly healed bullet wound. Extreme cold/hot temperatures are to be a factor, hypothermia, heatstroke... I would like my character to see someone and tell by his way of walking, by his clothes and by his aspect he has gone through a lot of shit and survived.

    remove ingame player-list and also remove player count on server list. There should be only 3 variables. Below half capacity, over half capacity and full. So you never know if the server has 20 people or 0 and therebefore can't serverhop between empty servers and just YOLO's military bases cuz you know no one is there.
  16. statistics so all deathmatch players can brag on forums about their überskillz and K/D and ImSoAwesomeYouLosersThisIsWhyImPlayingAGameNotIntendedForDeathmatchCuzItsTheOnlyPlaceICanActuallyKillSomething. No pls, thank you. Only thing worth saving about your character's are the adventures and stories you live. And the only way to save that is by narrative, something a computer isn't still capable of doing.

    No. What CPU can't handle is hundreds of differents individual items, with conditionants all of them (like "player [Name] can't have this item") and still track down all the items with the movement of the hundreds of those items that could spread hundreds of different ways (player to player, drop, other tents and so on, repeteadly). THAT's heavy for the CPU. But having a few tents with an ID [playername] and forbid this player from loot that tent is doable and wont cost shit to the CPU (just by blocking the popmenu when opening tent. Nothing to do with the items).

    Forbid a player's corpse/camp from getting looted by himself is one thing. But forbid the items individually even if those are removed from the container is a complete different topic. Server would have to handle unique ID's per items along with codified conditions for them. This is a lot of CPU work for a game already which is already heavy on that path.

    I used to hide my camps as NW in the map as possible. Getting back there took over an hour, and I still did it hundreds of times. I would bump that timer to 24 hours. Can't loot your own camp/body for 24 hours. However, we still have the clan issue. How can we deal with that. Actually clans are the ones making the best camps.

    ^ this The character is a new one, but the player is a reincarnation of him in a new character. And there's nothing we can do about. But the solution to this can't be just make the items/camps disappear since other people also has the right to find them and use them, may be it is even the reason they killed you. And regarding the proximity solution (if your new chars gets close to your camp, items disappear) still has two big issues. First one, more benefits for clans. Second one, those who will get close to their camp to make things disappear on purpose so no one else can use them (trolls). So roleplay a little and pretend if someone respawns and finds a camp, its because he got lucky :D P.D: either that, or forbid players from playing the same server after dying. <--- For a REAL hardcore experience this would be a great idea. I would definitely try. Can't even imagine not only the value my life will get, but also the value of my friends life ! xD

    Done all of them, suggestions, had my own server and joined a private hive with good admins (which was the most effective solution by far). But as usual, is not a matter of fixing the problem, just fighting it on all fronts. Suggestions? ofc, reports? ofc, coding ways of limiting admin abuse like non penalty when kicked? ofc too. All of them are good, and ALL of them are to be done.

    By kicking themselves they can only farm 2 servers, that was what I was saying. They loot their ownserver ---> kick themselves ----> and withouth penalty join ANOTHER server and loot it ---> leave the server... (its not their server, they can't kick) and voilà! penalty for them. Good luck joining a new server, even if it's their own, cuz they have now a penalty. Conclusion, no-penalty for kick only allows for 2 server farming. Restarting server allows for infinite server farming. Thus, removing penalty from kick means nothing to a BADmin. That was my point. And yeah, cutting your connection would work, here and in any other game. But admin features doesn't usually feature such ability, they either kick you or ban you, but can't fake a time-out for your connection unless some experienced admin programs himself a script for that. (Which, btw, some hackers do. I had to deal with them in many games, causing you a connection lost and then kill your character before you got time-out disconnected). But, still, what has this to do with the 30sec delay when kicked? remove it and you are removing one of the ways admins abuse the game. Are we gonna keep it just because they also have other means to a same end?? Doesn't seem to me like a suitable way to go.

    So, we rather lose our characters during the 30sec delay after a kick and also waste our time with non deserved server hopping penalties? I rather my option than yours... Btw, kick himself or their friends to avoid server hopping penalty will only allow for 2 server farming, their own, and another one. And they will get a penalty after that second one so... isn't like they can now just restart the server over and over again and do exactly the equivalent as server hopping w/o actually changing server right? And kicking their friends in combat? isn't like they restart the server right now to save their asses too so... really, I rather have no penalties for me when kicked. More win for me, and not as much for them.

    No logout time when you are kicked from the server should be a MUST. Dont even know why isn't like this already. And same for server hopping protection. If you are kicked, no server hopping penalty (which would also allow to increase server hopping penalty since only those doing it on puporse will get affected).

You know, I personally do not favor the usual excuse of the "It's an Alpha!!", but when it comes to content.... and by content I mean more skins for zombies, more clothes, more weapons, more of something we already have ingame then if someone complains about lack of it I have to say.... Alpha men... just Alpha. Adding fireplaces or base building or something like that is a HUGE coding work, and something may go wrong and sometimes you even have to start from scratch (I know this from first hand experiencie...way too much). But instead of this, adding just more "copies" of something you already have has little to nothing of coding, little to nothing impact on the game, and a big mistake to add it before you have the engine and all the code done, because if, as I said, something goes wrong, you may be forced to throw a lot of work out the window. Any dev team with the very least amount of common sense would leave variety as the last think to do. If it was me, during all the Alpha period, there would be only one weapon of each type {assault,revolver,pistol,sniper,shotgun,explosives} because each type have his own code and you add a weapon of each so everything can be tested. And when everything, and I mean everything, is finished and done. THEN and only then you can just copy-paste as many times as you want the files/code/db/whatever of those weapons and only change the skin/3D/animation because you are now 100% sure your code will work for every one of them, so be free to add as much of them as you want. When a game is finished, creating just more copies of content already ingame is the easiest work to do, but the game has to be done first. Im worried about a lot of things on this game I dont really think 'Alpha excuse' is going to fix it. But variety ain't one of them. Even if the devs dont do it, in just a week the comunity will have more variety of everything that we can handle.
