Going to refuel a car, about to click the option, I hear a zombio agroing me. Turn over, aim him, press Leftclick -> start to refuel the car. Didn't notice the refueling animation was so long until that day -.- I got hit several times by the zombie until I passed out, and then died.

I've created this topic to discuss what new DOABLE add's you would like to see with the next Day Z update (And by doable I mean addons in the line of the ones added until today. Fixing zombies walking through wall doesn't fit to me as a doable as it is a graphic engine issue). This is some of what I would like to see - Infection can now kill you by dropping your blood to 2000 at normal speed, and keeps droping it to 0 at -0.5bu/s (blood unit/second) until death. It gives you an hour more or less to get a cure. However, you still gain blood by transfusion or by eating. (As a matter of fact, you can keep yourself alive with just a simple foodcan every 5 min, a can restores +200bu and you lose -150bu within that time. Eating any sort of animal meat will result even better). - Blood bags now take up to 5 min to refill your blood (depending on how much blood left you have). That would be around 12000bu/300s = +40bu/s. Being hit within that time will result in blood refilling to stop. Blood bags effect can't be stacked (only one at a time applies). - As long as your temperature is good, you ain't tired (as you are after a sprint) and your hungry/thirsty icons are completely full, you will automatically gain +3bu/s (it takes more than an hour to full restore your health, and only if you're in perfect conditions -besides blood-). Any type of injure such as bleeding or an infection will stop the gaining. - Can't drink/eat more than once every 5 min. - Eating/Drinking and using medical consumables on yourself (bandage/painkillers) is now possible inside vehicles (this is doable?) - [New added item] Amphetamine (hospital/helicrash loot) - Gives you +400bu plus momentarily restores your senses (blurr vision/hearing) for 5 min. - [New added item] Energy Drink (Residential) - Gives you +400bu and restores your thirst. - [Change on existing item] Water Bottle can now be used two times ("Full Water Bottle" -> "Half Empty Water Bottle" -> "Empty Water Bottle"). - This way it can be shared. Not possible with cans. - [Change on existing item] Cows give you now at least 20 meat steaks. (As you can only use 1 every 5 min, is not possible someone kills a cow and restores all his blood in the spot. And lets face it, it is a cow, you should be able to feed an entire group from one single cow). This changes allow multiple pretty good ways to restore one's health but not as easy as spamming meat like it is now. +600bu from a steak +400bu from anfetamines +400bu from energy drink +3bu/s*300s = +900bu == 2300bu in 5 min. == Almost half an hour to restore yourself completely. Seems pretty fair to me Hope R4Z0R49 likes some of my ideas :D -

Another thing I would like to see is new added chats such as - Added "shout chat", can be heard/read at 400m range (in an apocalytpical world you won't have the noise contamination we have today, a shout could be heard really long away. - Added new item: radio - Added "radio chat": can be heard/read around all the map for every player having a connected radio (should be able to disconnect the radio, I don't wanna get scared by a surprising scream when I'm trying to sneak or to focus on smth) -
Combat Timer in 1.7.5, Worse now than ever before.

New combat timer is awesome. No more unloging while being chased, shooted or near zombies (those who tried to sneak into a place unlogin-login-unlogin-login to make the zombies disappear everytime one of them gets to close are now gonna have to stand for it :D). And I had no problem unlogin when I desire to, not even had to wait for the combat timer once. In fact, didn't actually saw the timer myself until yesterday, when I accidently pressed ESC while in Devil's Castle and saw a 30 sec timer (until then I though it wasn't on my server)... so, if you are getting a combat timer you're doing something wrong when unlogin, or you're trying to run away from something you shouldn't :) The only bug in here is the combat timer being 90 sec instead of the 30 sec originally intended. But they already got this fixed for the next update, an as I said, if you do things correctly you don't have even to face the timer. -

Im a hero just because I play with a group and I play mostly assistant roles (driver, spotter, medic, etc) and I killed just 1 guy in 1 month Ive been playing, but my group actually KoS most of the time so... things are not always what they look like. -

Tried this and actually I did notice an improvement on graphics but not on my fps. Im using an ATI and seems I cannot found most of the settings Im supposed to change in the guide, so someone knows which settings would be? Playing at 12 fps is not fun... At least now photos look better :D -

It is not realism for the sake of realism. Is a matter of balance aspect using realism as a base. In example, In the terms of the game, we may wanna get campers to kill less players huh? well, we put ourselves one rule for that: it should be done in a realistic way. This means, are we gonna put a magic force forbbiding snipers to kill a player? nope, cuz that would be unrealistic. What we do instead is adding wind affecting the bullet trajectory, difficulting the sniping then reducing the number of players killed by a camper. We're using realism as a balance tool. Eating 10 steaks in a row facilitates too much healing oneself, so in order of balance the game and achieve the intended difficulty, we use realism as balance adding a timer after every steak, because in real life you wouldn't be able to eat 10 steaks in a row. However, adding realism to the cure of a broken bone would unbalance the game adding too much difficulty, so we don't use realism on this one. This is the way realism is used in this game. -

True, but as you said, run in run out already works (in fact, only way you can loot a city now) so no changes on that plus walkers add fun to those not wanting to just run in-out. Players not be able to run forever is a must actually, but not as many people seems to want it. Be able to run 5 min and then walk is silly. But being able to run more than 1 minut when you're injured, lower on blood, extremely thirsty or hungry or infected... well, it is also silly. So the time you can keep running would depend on your character conditions. Lower in blood, with blurr vision and unconscious half of the time, forget sprinting, even running, you can only walk and limp a little faster, nothing else. However, in perfect conditions running for two hours is possible. Not for most of the people ofc, those who spent their lives between the bed and the couch/office chair cant do that. But hey, in an a zombie apocalyptic world, those are already dead. Remember Zombileand 1st rule of surviving? cardio.

Be careful about one thing. I'm noticing a lot of changes being random (hatchets failing, matches failing), people asking for more random stuff (bloog bags failing, weapon failing), Be careful, I've been playing Lineage II for 7 years and it started as a really good game, with lvl and gear but also based on player's ability. But as the time went on and updates we're added, everything turned out to be random. EVERYTHING. You craft an item? random failing (and loosing a whole weeks work), Using an ability on someone? random hit, random fail, random critic-hit. Loot? random. Quest rewards? random. Raid respawn? random. Trigger skills? random. Things get to the point where, lets say, you wanted a new helmet? you need an X recipe and X materials, which are obtanied doing X quest. Well this is how it was gonna be. You start the quest and go hunt monster for the quest-items.... guess what? quest items are completely random. Which means you may have to be 2-3 times more hunting monsters than a luckiest player. You have the item? go to the NPC and ask for the recipe, and ofc, it is random, you can get another recipe or simply none and start over all the work (hours and hours of it). Once you have the recipe and the materials, you need to craft the item, which has an 40% of failing chance. Rendering all your hours and hours and days and even weeks of work useless. All because your fault? NO, all because the random shitty chances the game has. But lets say you're lucky and you got the item, you have to enhance it, and guess what?? random :DD. Put an augment on it? random. In the end, players werent sided between bad and good, just between lucky and not-lucky ones. Lineage II turned out to be a Casino Online. And that's why I quit. Dont make the same mistake with Day Z. Keep this game a skilled-based game. We already have enough randomness (loot, bleed, fracture, infection, unconsciousness). I don't think hatches should be random, if someone fails it is because he's bad at aiming or at timing. Or blood increases by blood bags or meat, along with weapons failing at random times (I'm ok with weapons degrading, but because it's something you can prevent. Not pure random failings at any time). Don't add any of this please... -
I keep saying zombies should be walkers, not runners. I see much more fun on this, having to do things counter-watch, yelling on skype "we got 15 seconds before the mall gets all crowded with zombies! look for food asap and GTFO!" and so on. Now someone get spotted by a zombie with the new zombie-helping and awareness and it is like "OMG we have 2 sec bef... DAMN, GOT MY LEG BROKEN AND I'M UNCONSCIOUS!!! DAMN GOT RAPED By 298712987 ZOMBIES!!". No reaction time. With walkers instead of runners, OP awareness and infinite respawn would have even sense. And a lot MORE zombies to add would be incredible fun, watching how after you shot your makarov, or you're refueling your car, and there's like 200 hundred zombies approaching from everyside of the streets and even from the woods (I would like that to happen :D) Also this makes loot posible but makes cycling imposible, so as camping. I see much more fun in this.

Sometimes refuel doesnt work until I relog. Everytime I am with an empty car and only one full jerry can left it is like rolling a dice, I cant know if refuel its gonna work or if I will have to abandon the car due to this glitch. Happened already twice in the woods. Also, happened when trying to refuel a heli to full, like 5 minutes fueling on a gas station just to find out none of the jerry cans had any effect. Really frustrating :/

Yesterday I put in a coyote backpack 2 rangefinder, 2 nvg, 2 gps, 2 watchs, 2 compasses and 2 axes, 12 in total. Had no problem doing it. Trully tools applies as weapons inside tents and vehicles, but I dont think this happens with backpacks. -

I had no problems evading zombies and I didnt even changed my strategy. Run in, run out. The first day I didnt even noticed the zombie behaviour was different. I always enter a town by running, take a look at the main buildings (as Im already geared im only looking for specific stuff, like a Wheel or smth) and get the fuck out. I never stop running, after hitting the woods zombies get lost in less than 30 seconds. Easy. If it wasn't by all the reading on this forum I wouldn't even noticed the change. -

(Always wondered why this isn't in ARMA 2 since the first day) - Zombies talking to each other in a 80m radius? Bad enough to make me hate this fucking addon. - Gunshot even from a makarov atracting the attention of everything in a 2km radius?? well, Walking Dead style so I like it. - Imposiblity to use my fists, knife or any sort of melee weapon without having to relinquish my primary weapon? fucking bad. REALLY bad. Unthinkable bad. I mean, why the fuck I cannot use an axe/knife as a third weapon? - Cows rendering only 8 steaks? bad - Cows rendering only 6 steaks now? WORSE. OMG, it is a fucking cow. You should be able to feed an entirely group for 2 days with a single cow. I would say about 50 steaks, and you just take what you need. - ALICE pack only 16 slots (and in 4 hours looting today, haven't seen a single one)? good... in a manner - Epipens, morphines, watches, matches, painkillers, compasses, maps, knifes, bandages, gun magazines (only in backpacks) and other type of tinny items not being able to stack to a limited amount of them? Well, lets say it is ironic in a backpack as big as an ALICE I could only carry 16 morphine injectors... they must be huuuuuge huh? (On the other hand, carrying 4 wheels inside one backpack is also pretty ironic) Also, on my server all tents and vehicles went gone after the update. Server got reseted apparently, and my group had 2 camps with 10 tents each, full of endgame gear, plus 7 vehicles and a choppa. It isn't a direct fault of the Day Z update, but it still makes me hate it a little... Not to mention the impossibility to refuel a heli and get away without it receiving any damage to the windscreens, which will make the heli leak fuel (lol). Fix this first, then add zeds breaking a heli. To add, also, the removal of peripherical white dots. Why is that? There were to compensante the lack of vision you have looking through a screen, in real life if someone moves at your side and your looking at your front, you will notice anyway. Ingame you dont, so the peripherical dots helped to compensate that. So after thinking all day, my opinion is this isnt a good update. This halfaddons would only improve the game with the missing half, without them, I feel annoyed every step I do ingame. However, I like the infection addons, having different meat types, boiling water, flip back ATVs and so on. Not all is bad :) -
Today our group went on a roadtrip through chernarus looking for good stuff and blablabla, the usual. Nothing worthy to tell happened, but the deal is, when we went back to our camp (8 tents, full all of them, with GREAT stuff - as50 , SD weapons, etc - Our Ural Civilian Truck was destroyed. Completely destroyed, exploded. Nothing was missing, nothing, not a single item. Also the rest of the vehicles were ok. All the changes since we left was the exploded truck. WTF?? I mean, if someone found the camp they would have made a party in there with beer and bitches due to his luck, and leave the place completely wasted but no, they just destroy the truck an leave? cmo'n! I dont buy that. I think the vehicle exploded espontaneously. So the question is, how is that posible? Some info: - The truck hasnt been used in 48 - 72 hours (However, I though it takes a week to respawn from disuse, and I though it would disappear, not explode) SideNote: There's a story with this truck. 3 days ago we got raided by a SUV group with 4 full geared guys in there, they started unloading his weapons on us and our truck while we tried to run, the truck exploded and at the same very second the server crashed. When the server went online again we entered and the truck was still there NOT exploded, but fully wasted, needing a full repair of all his parts. Is it possible the truck exploded with a 3-day-delay?? (btw, the SUV wasnt there or near around anyway, which is also strange). I though of hackers also but I don't know... and the admin says can't find nothing out of the way in logs,

More info, we found another truck at the respawn point, w/o a server restart. Who knows how much time's been there. I don't understand anything xD

Between 2 trees, with enough distance between them and the truck. I dont think this is the reason, because anyway, it would have take more than 48 hours to explode? truck hasnt been used last 2 days so it would have been received damage all this time. Also, for the record, the truck survived 2 server restarts.

Got a military offroad from the green mountains today, repaired it with 4 wheels, 1 engine part, 1 fuel tank part and 6 windscreen glasses. But after that, and actually the vehicle functioning properly, with HULL/ENG/WHL in green, the vehicle still has a repairing option for 4 wheels, FR2/FL2/RM/LMWheel (notice it's different from the original wheels - FR/FL/BR/BLWheel). Well, can't found info about that on google so I'm asking here. Anyone knows what are those wheels? This trick worked until 2-3 days ago, today I try to enter and it doesn't work anymore. Battleye updated now from 1.185 to 1.187 and now seems you can't use this to skip the #41 restriction. But they didn't bother fixing the #41 bug itself... Any new trick? Cannot play on my usual server with my hero skin and we have a huge camp there...
