I read somewhere the information of the server isn't going to update to your character unless it is relevant for it. ESP hacks feed from the server-clients packages of information received, decoding them and tracking tents/vehicles/players/everything even 10km from you. This won't happen in the SA, because if this information is not downloaded on your computer, there's literally no way you can hack it. Unless for short range :( wallhack as in counter strike is going to be a problem. But hell, it is already now, and much worse. Cutting off the 90% of the ESP problem is a win imo. And you talk shit about VAC, but correct me if im wrong, there's no good and efective way to stop cheaters from wallhack, autoaim and all this crap. Every fps have it. So it isn't like they have made a bad choice.

You people don't get it!! Is just another strategy to get rid of codkiddies, they will play and ruin the console version while we play in peace on the computer version. Just kidding xD but would be fun, when CoD started going mainstream, I actually noticed an increase of the average inteligence of the counter strike players (not so much though) and I think it was because most of the noobs and casuals gamers went CoD. So if we can keep them playing on a shitsole platform and away from a PC game forever, I will be happy. -

I always thought the hide & hope base system of this game just plenty sucks. First of all, I would like players to lose their tents and vehicles 'on track', this means, while they're online. Not because they're busy with RL. I actually find more realistic if your base logs out with you, because what is really unrealistic is that your base is abandoned 21 hours a day. However, when you are online, your tents/vehicles are not longer 'yours', but free for everyone finding them (and therebefore, be able to take them). So you and your group better leave someone behind for watching and defencing purposes. Also this will need some sort of officially recognized group system, as if 4-5 players have a group, if only 1 of them logs in, tents and vehicles also does. Not having to wait for the unique owner of the base to be online.

DayZ SA: Make zombies a threat

This would not be a threat, this is more like a death sentence and game over. Zombies like in Resident Evil/Walking Dead is what I consider a threat. If you let your guard down youre dead, but if you don't, you can usually get away alive. Making zombies a threat isn't about making them absolutely lethal, no one would survive long with this. Is about making them enough of an obstacle to force you quit your objetive and run away if you fail at sneaking and/or killing them. This is more than enough for zombies becaming the major concern of players wanting to raid a town. But for this, 2 things are needed. First, zombies need to be zombies (only headshots work), need to be certainly dangerous, be able to hit you even if you're moving, so as grab you and also beat you with a high personal cost (like bleed, or broken bone), be a LOT of zombies, be even more zombies if you shoot, with infinite respawn if you keep doing loud noise, never loosing you (unless for distance), surrounding you inside buildings (would be fun if they had to break doors/windows to gain enter). And second, they should walk. Because if they can do all this and they run, you're dead and game over. So if you make zombies run then for making this game playable you need to make them looseable, and then this is what we have: Useless zombies. This is why as I already said once I think Day Z screwed game balance since day one. -

What to do after you have the best gear?

When you have the gear you get the vehicles, and if you and all your group have the gear and the vehicles (at least Huey + Ural, but I would go also for the MI17 and at least one SUV/BAF/HMMVII) then having all this you have nothing else to do. But if you reached this point you must be playing on an empty server.. -

I feel sad for those playing Day Z on the console. And I would feel really really disappointed if they cut in half the controls, interface and performance of the game on the PC just because it will be the same shit on the console. Hope they don't do that... (I guess they won't but you never know) -
You were logging out in the middle of Electro and you wonder why you had a countdown timer?? Try to logout in the woods and you will see this doesn't happen :) I hope they add a 300 seconds ingame permanency of their characters to those alt+F4ing or cntr+alt+supr ...

If your brain lacks of oxygen you would fall unconscious within 5 seconds. Holding your breath doesn't stops your brain from getting ox, all of it reamins in your blood. A heart attack is what stops your brain from renewing oxygen. You can keep practicing ;) Back on topic, if the defribilator is added to the game for sure it will have an unrealistic purpose, as it does the morphine right now. The hopes are for not having some sort of god mode with it.

I felt in love with the BF3's view distance and I would really love to see the same in Day Z. This is the only reason I want 10000/10000. However, my laptop can only handle 10 fps at 1500/1000 so.... :( -
Agree, though, I would like to see some sort of 'extra time'. I am a life guard and I know for example that the brain takes 4 minutes without oxygen to suffer irreversible damages. What about a 4 minutes window to revive someone who isn't dead by a headshot or a shot to the heart. Dying from being beaten by zombies could be reversible if the player recieves transfusion + epi-pen + CRP in time. Would be fun to save a friend from the claws of the death in a rush to a hospital. And it doesn't seems extremeley unrealistic te me (not even unrealistic as the morphine-bone-healer).

Happened to me 2 days ago. Got shoot by a bandit and got a broken bone, couldn't move but I was noy dying O.o not bleeding, my blood on green status. The bandit started shooting at me and accusing me of hacker because I was not dying. It took like 5 min and 100 bullets to finally die. When I asked the server forums the staff told me it is just desync, and that they have seen a lot of this since the 1.7.6.1 -
Light (and also heavy) armors are a must imo. Though they wouldn't stop a .50 cal but that is another story. And Im agree in having m107/as50 as rare as a rocket launcher. However I may have a better idea for this, I will make a post when Im on vacation.

Did you miss the 1st sentence of my answer? Don't worry, I will copy-paste. ofc it should be hard, by adding realism to the sniper mechanics. And this is how you remove the point-and-click issue, not by removing the weapon. That would be the noob solution. And if someone can fucking kill you at 1.6km range with realistic sniping mechanics, then he fucking deserve it... I don't think there's more than 100 people in the world who can do that. P.D: btw, I got killed in every way possible in this game, and only got sniped at long range ONCE. You must be running down the main street of a city without even bothering to cover yourself if you get killed often by snipers.

So instead of asking for a better wound system or more realistic (and therebefore difficulty) sniping system, you just ask to remove those weapons and like nothing happened right? Im all into nerfing the KoS/Camp/Snipe deathmatch this game has becomed, but by doing this on a proper way. We start by removing those weapons and then when people still kills you with a 1shotkill from a CZ550 we remove the CZ550. And then the m16acog, m24, enfield and even the fucking makarov as it sill can 1shotkill you with a headshot. And then people will start to kill you camping inside of supermarkets/hospitals/firestations with a lame hatchet and what do we do? remove the friendlyfire of the game and magically you can spent your entire magazine into someones body an not even scratch them. Fuck realism right? No, this is not the proper way to do things. Btw, Im ok with having tanks :) They exists, they should be there. As long as they also add some realistic fuel settings, as a Tank is incredible hard to maintain, but if a fuel tank has infinite fuel then this would be a joke.

Have you seen all the HMVIIs around the map. Looks like there was some conflict going on, may be this is why there's so many military bases? May be has smth to do with the zombie outbreak? I don't know, all I know is that all the military equipment left behind would be astonishing. Said this like a million times. If the society falls apart, first thing Im getting is a fucking train of military gear/weapons. If you want to go around with a .22 revolver that is your own problem. I don't see why it is not realistic to have those items in an apocalyptical world. And, anticipating your answer, I do now where to get all this stuff. There's more around than you would imagine :)

Those weapons exists IRL, therebefore, they exist in an hypothetical apocalyptic world. There's no reason to get rid of them. Though, I would love snipers capabilities to be nerfed, but this must be done adding wind effect, having to adjust your scope and so on.

We need a completely different loot system

True, social interactions are all, and this is why gear doesn't even matter. I know, you get killed a loot, and with a more difficult gear system it will be hard to maintain a certain level of gear all the time. But this is for you and for everyone!! I mean, as it is now, middle gear is easy to get, but try to maintain a full gear with NVG, RF, m107, m4sd, m9sd, gillie suit... This isn't a 2 hours job, especially since NVG/RF only spawn on heli crashes and those spawns now at random times/places. But you don't care about this because what makes difficulty for you to keep them it also makes it difficulty for everyone else. This is why it is called full gear. So it is just semantic. What you consider to be middle gear will change if gear is easy/harder to get. Important is that the medium player will always be middle-geared pretty easy (doesnt matter if that means an M16ACG or just a single 1911). But theres a difference, adding those changes to the mod will make barns and small towns enter again into the equation of the game. I consider it a win/win.
