Yeah but it's not the same stress, I love the stress I get by playing. I used to play Lineage 2 with 9 game-clients at the same time, plus who knows how much traders, and still managed to be on 4 poker texas holdem online tables making some money while playing. THAT WAS stressfull, but gosh, how I loved to be so mind active! Actually, since I quit playing L2 and poker I feel a bit dumber, slow thinking, all that exercise has gone now and that has consequences.

This is a zombie game. If you pay attention to every zombie book/movie/series you will find NOT BEING HIT by a zombie is the golden rule.. I find the infection perfect as it is, now you are to be afraid of zombies hitting you and do WHATEVER it takes to not being hit, as it should be with everything involving zombies. BTW, Hatchet is still my fav weapon. Use it properly, don't let them touch you and end of the story. I must agree, however, in the SA with the zombies running inside building this situation will turn out impossible. As I said already on another topic on this forum, in an hipothetical world where zombies run more than we do, also inside buildings, can climb laders and doors doesn't work, zombies would win over the world and end of the story. Even in the Hollywood fantasies where main character's can survive the impossible (falling from 3 floors, being shot multiple times and so on), you won't see a movie where they survive in this scenario. If zombies walk, people fight back (Walking Dead, Resident Evil). If zombies run, people HIDE & BARRICADE (Dawn of the Dead, maybe World War Z? -still didnt see it- ). You can't win on an open field with zombies that run more than you and also infect you as soon as they catch you. I always maintained zombies should WALK, but the devs won't hear me at all so lets see how they fix that when the game comes out. P.D: since the new patch I been playing a lot, got infected around 6 times already, only once I ended up dying from it (and it was because I was so low in Blood I couldn't even manage to get to the nearest open field and hunt some animals). Normally, when Im infected I just hunt every animal I see and eat, I can last forever this way and keep playing as normal until I find some antibiotics. Infection takes more than one hour to kill you and there's now plenty of rabbits and chickens which you can heal 2000 Blood from each one you hunt, around 15 more minutes of live. I don't see why all the QQ.

You should be afraid of zombies hitting you (hope its bitting you instead of hitting in the SA) because it may infect you, as in any zombie book/movie. Other than that zombies shouldn't be much of a threat. It's not like they are xenomorfs from Alien. However in numbers... well thats another story, and if they run (even more than us!) we then need one thing. DOORS. You can't beat a hundred zombified Usain Bolts on an open field. In this hipothetical situation where zombies are as you stated and also magically traspass closed doors then humanity loses and zombies take over the world. End of the story. BTW, I can assure you, even in your game situation, people WON'T team up. It's a fact. The gamer nature is what it is and won't change (not anytime soon). -

But having to stop is so annoying and not realistic at all. I would go for 2 but with a delay, but if I may ask R4Z0R, why is not possible to have animation to run while running? (joke intended xD) -
There are so many zeds the game is fucking awesome. Few nights ago me and 2 friends shoot a Makarov inside a Church just to kill 1 zombie because "bah, too much hassle swiching to the hatchet having to drop the primary weapon momentarily, lets just shoot it"... BIG MISTAKE. Almost 200 zombies entered the church in a rage horde, we spend almost all our stanags on them, and all of us ended infected, but it was worth. Because it was FUN. And we learned a valuable lesson.

I can confirm this. I play most of the time at 8 fps and zombies pretty much ignore me all the time. And most of it also the roadblocks doesn't appear so I can go with my cars through big cities w/o even having to slow down :D

I have a shitty computer, playing Dayz at 8-12 fps, and I can alt+tab w/o any problem and coming back instantly, and I mean INSTANTLY. It is one of the features I like the most from this game as I usually have to alt+tab constantly and its annoying in the majority of the games. -
Funny to see how the NWA is overpopulated, but almost nobody puts a step on the landing strip xD

I'm enjoying the game more than ever with this new version. Instead of the usual SuperMarket -> Hospital -> Airfield and voilá! alrdy geared now lets kill some people! Now it is really harder. I don't bother with hospitals anymore, supermarkerts are still worth the time but not 1/10 as before. So I find myself looking even in every deer stand, which I used to ignore before. I'm also enjoying the infection, I don't quit when I get infected, I try to stay alive. Eating all I can, carrying 10+ pieces of meat and hunting down animals for more until I find some antibiotics (which I don't even expect, because they're really hard to find). I lasted 9 days infected with my last char. Zombies are now much harder, at least on the server Im playing. Yesterday we (3 friends) entered the church at Putoshka followed by a few zombies. Shot at them... BIG MISTAKE... I alone killed 45 zombies, my friends more or less the same. Almost went out of ammo but it was FUN. And I'm not getting knocked down that much. I only have 2 complains: - Backpacks, Camping Tents, Bandages and Antibiotics should be a bit more common (Just a bit). In the last 2 weeks I just found one single Alice Pack, Bandages are to less common (or bleed too much common, and absurd sometimes. Like starting to bleed hard for a body falling over me. It may hurt, but you don't fucking bleed to die for that), let's not talk about antibiotics, and, in all that time, I didn't found yet not even one Camping Tent. - THE FUCKING ZOMBIE ZIG-ZAG! This is what breaks the game for me. You can't aim for the head with those bugged animations. I think fixing that should be a priority. Even inside building they still move like having spasms with his head constantly teleporting 30 cm up/down left/right. Impossible to aim. -
Recoil is good as it is. Arma II doesn't work as others shooters (thanks god!) where your view looks like it comes from your weapon and not from your eyes. If you shoot a weapon IRL your weapon may end up looking into the sky, not you. In Arma II if you pay attention the crosshair works that way, you have 2 vertical bars and a small dot inside. The real crosshair is that small dot, there is where the weapon is aiming, now enter the game, shoot a DMR and look where the small dot goes. Doesn't seem to you like a lot of recoil?

The first time playing we spent like 3 hours to meet because we didn't know shit about the map, about where do we have spawned. We didn't even know the game tells you where you are for a few seconds when you log in. So we spend 3 hours just to meet each other, when we where all together (inside the church from Cherno) we unlogged, because it was already too late. All I picked up was a few empty cans I think. Still, was exciting, having to orientate with the sea, the map, the mountains, telling each other where we might be and which direction to follow... -
And there begins... Was expected, after the M107 and the AS50 came the turn of the DMR. Enfield, you're next!

- I've noticed, when you eat, 3 arrows appear on your HUD next to your blood level. Then progressive 2 arrows, then 1, then none. I assume this is the time the extra-health takes to be applied. But it also is the time between steaks for them to heal completely if I consume another one? or I have to wait longer. - Do you now recover health w/o eating (by resting, or being full food/drink), or its just my impression?

5 min no, should be a matter of hours. But if I'm almost dead and I rest for half an hour I may get a bit better and at least lose my blurr vision. Last day me and 2 friends where on the woods at midnight (game time, so was COMPLETELY dark) with one of us less than 10% of blood, fainting away every minute or two. Didn't had blood bags and not enough food, with pitch black darkness hunt was almost impossible -though we managed to found a cow- but it was still not enough. And our friend couldn't even move due to his blurred vision. So we set up a fire camp and we spend like 30 minutes, trying to hunt smth just for the blood gaining, because we we're no hungry/thirsty at all. That was one occasion where being able to heal a bit (like +2000 blood/Hour) just by resting and having all your needs meet would have been cool and not at all unrealistic (not more than healing broken bones with morphine). If it was for me, you could only eat 2 meals (wathever combination it is - meat or can) every 15 minutes or more. Also regen blood from resting (as long as the character has his needs meet), plus being able to transfer blood from one char to another. So healing would be a combination of methods and a matter of time, not instantly. Precisely as it is now its like any other game: get hurt, use a medkit, profit. You even have diff medkits to choose from: Blood Bag > Rabbit Meath > Other Meat > Cans. The better the medkit, the better the healing.

That's for sure. Every game has hacks and hackers. Problem here is the script method allows hackers to be GODs between mortals. In the SA the hacks will be the usual, autoaim & wallhack. Maybe some duping as in all those MMO. But I don't think we will start hearing the SAW song and then suddenly die (happened to me once) or getting teleported to a private hacker rodeo party. Nor seeing jets flying around the map (that is for sure, impossible in the SA) so I consider this a win already. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the weapons do the same dmg to you regardless if they hit you in the middle of your chest or only in your toe, and that's why we have 12.000 Blood. Because being hit twice in your arm with a 1911 doesn't immediately kills you IRL. We're sacrificing the realism when being hit in the chest then, as you can survive .308 calibers shots there, twice, as someone already said. But I'm fine the way it is, the character is already retarded enough, we don`t need him to die just for losing a finger. Though, I hope in the standalone the dmg depends on WHERE you have been hit instead of how much dmg the bullet does.

Happened to me a lot of times when I first started playing the mod. In fact, even with the filter for only public hives on DayZ Commander it happened so often we always used some of our squad members as a guinea pig, trying different servers looking for one fitting our fav config and that it also doesn't destroy our public hive char upon login in the first time :) My advice: find a server you like, and stick to it.
