hello i have an i5 3570k cpu which isn't overclocked at the moment but i was wondering 1. is it worth it 2. if it is what should i overclock to 3. what is a good non liquid cpu cooler 4. what would be a rough performance increase if any in dayz? i heard that it is still very cpu intensive THANK YOU!!! -Jonno

Desktop Monitor resolution: 1920x1080 CPU: intel i5-3570k @ 3.4ghz Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 770 2gb RAM:* 8gb DDR3 @1600 SSD? No

Just wondering if anyone is having the same thought but wouldn't it be great if melee was redone to be very smooth like example dead island or other great melee games like that and then just completely drop the amount of firearms spawning to make it even more i guess a survival game. For example to kill someone you have to actually face them with a busted wrench not just snipe them from 100 meters away. this is just a thought so i'm not forcing anything on anyone. cheers :beans: THIS WAS MEANT TO BE PUT INTO SUGGESTIONS SORRY NOT SERVERS

What graphics card should i buy to run DayZ?
jonno.cowie replied to IHaavoC's topic in Technology/Programming
build yourself a gaming pc. nuff said -
loot is a factor but the main reason i believe is combat logging. but yes i do agree with you

1. i personally think that disabling side chat will not help the situation one bit with players not knowing what to do 2. it is definitely not fun going into a fire fight not knowing what to do i don't know where you got the idea that its much more fun going in blind 3. what is so bad with having tutorials. they are helping the player community which will help the dayz sa in general

Help me build a rig that will run dayZ.. PLEASE

first thing is is this american money or Australian money? in all honesty you really would struggle to get a decent pc which could play dayz SA on fair graphics with getting decent frames. i would suggest buying a pc when you have around 800 dollars at least this amount is entry level gaming i would say. but if your heart is set on 600 bucks people have already suggested a few things above me. good luck with finding a pc :) -
i personally thnk the m4 sound is very bad. for me it makes it feel like the m4 is not a powerful rifle

people who said no are most likely loggers

As you will all know rocket is working hard on Dayz SA which looks amazing. I am so impressed by how much work he and his team have put into it just to keep us players happy. The amount of items and different strategies and so on are endless and outstanding. But with that there will be problems. Even if you had ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA long before Dayz mod or just bought the two simulators for Dayz you would of realized that there is a lot of different keys which do different actions compared to any other game. Bohemia realized this and said holy crap a new player to the ArmA series will struggle to learn all these controls without any tutorials or popups along the way. So that's what they did they made a tutorial for everything in simulator. clap clap clap to bohemia. :D personally this was so helpful when i first bought ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA as i had no idea what i was doing until i went through the tutorials. and this is where i'm getting to. As you would know by the topic this is a plea to rocket and his team. Now i don't want to be that annoying kid saying you should do this and you should do this and this.... because its usually the most stupid idea ever :facepalm:orrrr..... they have already done that and put it into the game But i truly believe if they don't do a tutorial for Dayz SA that a lot of players will be going in blind and we will have little kiddies running around saying how do i do this and so on. that will ruin the experience. ATTENTION ALL NOOBS!!!!!! THIS IS A SUGGESTION!!!!!!! please do not comment saying all this stupid shit..... ...... Back to the topic. Now by saying they should do a tutorial i'm not saying they need to make a single player Dayz SA i would like them to instead just have what they did for the ArmA series for Dayz SA. here are a couple of things that i personally would like. Basic functions (movement, standing, crouching, prone and so on)Inventory (looting, dropping stuff you don't need, Clothing and other wearable items)Medical (how to bandage and other things like that)firearms (not as is like to shoot press left mouse button but as is like different types of guns and which ones you should use for different situations) Melee ( just the simple stuff we need to know about it)I would prefer this than going into controls and trying to memorize the different actions and keys. its not enjoyable :( there are a lot of other things i would like to put down but i don't want to make it into a list of demands. i believe not only will it minimize the noobs on Dayz but it will make standalone a more enjoyable experience which is key. So please if you agree in what i say please try to get this message around and hopefully the Dayz team will notice this. Do all you can to make rocket and his team notice not only my plea but others also. :beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: cheers - Jonno
