Modding Support and Tools, Initial Release

Got a weird issue with trying to launch Buldozer from within TB. Got all the default stuff done (Set up workdrive, set up the params to my workdrive (Q drive, instead of P) When trying to launch it instantly crashes though, minidump is created and the RPT reports an access violation. The game works fine. Link to RPT is here: https://paste.ee/p/Y3gpQ Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at D4554FDF Any thoughts?

    That's some awesome shit
  3. The only thing is that people will form groups of two/three into soloing. You do realize that forming a group is already way more effective right now? You can use different guns, watch each others backs. Save the loot, more shit to carry around etc... Our group is quite large anyway. You didn't propose a single thing that we can't do and still kill every lone survivor we see. Why would we help him? We don't know him. We don't trust him and he is of no interest to us. He's just dangerous to our group so we get rid of him. This game is mostly around PVP. For me the zombies are only there to distract you from the PVP. The main reason I don't want to get aggro? If I fire a single bullet suddenly every bandit in the server might know my location. Plus you know what? I like my sniping sessions in Elektro. It's pretty funny. You feel in control over the life of the players running around there. Feeling all safe in the dark, thinking no one is watching them.. And then suddenly from the other side of the city they receive a bullet to the chest. Or if I think that survivor might be a nice guy/gal (How the hell do I know anyway from couple of hundreds meter away) I might kill some of the zeds that are chasing him. It all depends on the mood I am though. Today we spotted a survivor (With a rifle) running away from a gas station when we had to refuel. Sure, I could've chased him all the way and taken him down, but for us it was more effective to just refuel and get on with it. Anyways, once you get experienced with this game you can do whatever you feel like. Wasting 5 mags of DMR ammo on random survivors sneaking about in Elektro or Cherno? Not a problem, there's 30 more stuffed away in a tent anyway. I mean, what else could we do? We can't really make a better camp than we already have. We can't organize server wide activities seeing there's no way to message other players (No side chat, no tape messages, no grafiti signs in the towns, etc).
  4. I picked up buddies at NW today. I was driving with NVGs and they chucked flares all over the place. Had no troubles finding them at all. Even from quite a distance away I was possible to distinguish between players and zombies pretty damn easily. The funniest thing is probably that you can't see chemlights without NVGs after 25/50/75m (depending on color). But even those things stick out like a sore thumb with NVGs from 200m away.

    Tips for an effective squad?

What sort of spacing would you guys recommend? Travelling around on different terrain (Forest or open fields) and moving in cities or lets say NW. One tip: Have a lookout when raiding. When we go to NW we always have a sniper lookout on the other side of the airfield. He won't really protect us from snipers (You can never really protect yourself against those at NW), but he can see it easily if there's someone moving around hangars or so. Plus, when someone would be in cover for us, it's a free shot for the sniper. Also, I would recommend setting your face to be something similar. At least wear the same types of glasses so you're more easy to ID.
  6. Just hoping they'll change it for DMR, AN FAL and M24 as well :D Especially the M24 has a serious ammo shortage, whiles there's tons of DMR clips around. Same goes for the AN FAL... You can only find the ammo at chopper crash I believe, even though the gun is not that powerful (Or well, it is really powerful, but seeing the normal variant lacks a scope and the iron sights are not thát great you might as well take another rifle)
  7. Create your own fun. We're at the moment that our group has enough stuff, plenty of vehicles and we're all quite geared out. Now we could do endless raids at NW to get NVGs, but we'll probably end up doing different things. Might go for a sniping session in Elektro tomorrow. Might go for a Meat-giveaway the day after tomorrow. Might fix a bus and taxi people everywhere... You could just search for some players and track their group just for the hell of it.

How often are your camps raided?

It is a shame you can't hide stuff properly. With vehicles the map isn't as large as people like to think and there are deer huts all over the place. Meaning you can't really place them in the center of the map, seeing you would either be in between cities and/or deer huts than. The edge of the map would be the obvious thing, but that's the first scout people do when they acquire a bicycle... That only leaves a few spots... Now everyone else also places camps on those locations. Just try going to a good camp location and hopping through some servers. You're guaranteed to find some stuff.... It's really all about being lucky.

    Weapon Safety Switch

It's really not for the alt-tabbing by the way. As long as you alt-tab back you don't fire. Also, if you are going to alt tab just lower your weapon/open gear/press esc and you won't fire. I don't really care lowering either, because this means you can't use the flashlight or scope.
  11. What do you call off map anyway? If there's grass it's still part of the map, right? Anyway, I don't mind having to relocate a camp, it's just that I wish you could place them normally between trees or so. It's a pain in the ass to make a camp that's not completely obvious to everyone. I really wish the tent placing would change all together. The best thing would be to press the Pitch Tent button and then get a green square in front of you where you're going to place it... if you press Enter one time it places it right there. If the location is invalid the square turns red...

    Weapon Safety Switch

That does happen to a lot of people, never have that problem myself though. I just think it's a lot more helpful to run around with my gun on safety to prevent misfiring.

    Weapon Safety Switch

Please, please add a safety switch! I think it's weird that Arma doesn't have this, seeing it's a milsim and I don't know if it's possible. If I point my flashlight at a grey wall (Like in fire station), shouldn't it reflect enough light for me to at least have some vision in the entire room? Lowering doesn't work seeing you point the gun downwards then.. It's the same with using a DMR as binos... Again, safety switch would be welcome. It's even worse if you have a pistol.. no lowering that one. Edit: I do believe ACE has a safety feature, which is basically just a lowering thing, but you need to press an actual button to be able to raise it again. Still won't work for the purposes intended.

    Cant lower my weapon, help!

You have to stand up first and it only works with primary weapons, so no lowering with pistols. (Holstering should definettely be implemented)
  15. When looking at authenticity.. Well, it just doesn't get that dark anywhere. There's no light pollution blocking out the moon, so that can't be it. It just seems that even if there's one tiny cloud (Not even in front of the moon) all light is just gone. Besides that.... Flashlights work freaking terrible. LIGHT REFLECTS!I guess this is fucking hard performance-wise and Arma doesn't render light like this, but if you can't get flashlights to work normally.. then don't make the night that dark either. It's just hella annoying that I need to throw down chemlights to actually light up a room.. while I'm carrying a freaking flashlight! But yeah.. alpha.. I know, I know. Flashlights would just be a lot more helpful if the light would actually reflect. If I point my flashlight at a grey wall (Like in fire station), shouldn't it reflect enough light for me to at least have some vision in the entire room? Try using it in the tower of fire station.. it's even worse then. If you're looking at a wall you only get that tiny portion of the wall lighted up.. and the rest is just completely black...
