Yeah, it really is frustrating. As i understood it you had the same problem? Google can really be your best friend sometimes at problems like this. Sorry for late answer, i didn't check at my old posts before now! ^_^

The thing is i've had this problem on all of the beta patches. I've used the dayz commander to make sure it's updated too.

I've been on the Taviana server for quite a while, but it usually has too few players. D: You should do something like expand the loot/vehicle spawns so more players feel tempted to join.

I spawned, noticed a zed 10 meters next to me, tried to find out the controls and then i clicked and hit my keyboard like mad to make my char hit the zomb with the flashlight. Aaaaand then i died.

Hello everyone. :) I've had this problem for a really long time, but I haven't bothered with posting about it before now. As the title says, my direct chat isn't working. There are several times, such as today, where some players I've been in fight with claim they talked to me in mic on direct chat. Today a guy asked if i wanted to join the chopper in direct chat, but because they had fired at me 10 mins earlier, i assumed they were coming to kill me. The truth turned out to be very different. :/ Anyways, i cannot write, use mic nor receive messages via text or hear others' mics. When i type to others i can see what i wrote as a seemingly working message, but when i tried it with my friend he never received it, nor could i read his messages. Is there any fix for this? Help would be very much appreciated. ^_^

I really need help with making direct chat work. I can't send nor receive text or hear others with mic. This is just so frustrating, so does anybody know a solution?

Sumrak, you've done a great job on this map. It is a map where survival is hard even for an experienced player, and i love some of the new aspects to the gameplay, such as the bloodsuckers. My only problem with it is that zombies are unaffected by the EVR. For instance, last time i played i was inside object A2, and i was about to shoot a mob of 3 armored zombies. Then I heard a distant explosion and I tried to hurry with getting out my secondary and move out of a corner, but before i could take out more than 1 of them, i fell unconcious. Then they started feeding on me. <.< Would it be possible to make the EVR affect zombies or at least stun them temporarily? I think it would be awesome if the zombies also had to feel the effects of an EVR, leaving them stunned and unable to do anything like yourself.(Without the protection device, of course)

Is it legit to add it, or will battleye kick/ban you? I saw a bunch of those red beret guys in frankie's newest vid.

Oh yeah, i will definitely spend some weekends on dayz now. :>

Oh, thanks. Before you posted though, i did after some time on google find the solution. Apparently, launching dayz with steam does something to the game. When i disabled the "launch with steam" option the game worked perfectly fine again. ^_^ Thank you for taking time to read and answer though, it seems like (nearly) nobody reads the troubleshooting section of the forum. D:

Hey. :) I've had DayZ for around a year now, and this mod is the only reason i bought Arma 2. I've had so much fun with it, but some months ago i started getting "Server connection rejected - Bad version" on more and more servers. I thought it would go away after the next patch, but it didn't. Now it is impossible for me to join any server at all. I'm using dayz commander to filter servers with incorrect beta versions, i've updated both beta and mod version to the latest, and i updated Battleye manually a month ago. After updating the Battleye, the first server i joined worked, and then all the next servers sent me the same message: "Bad version" ... Nothing seems to work, and i am getting really frustrated. In my desperation i bought WarZ in the hope of a similar experience, but it feels sort of "soulless". I really have no clue what to do anymore. I used to try to fix it, but i still can't get dayz working. Does anybody know what to do? Dayz is by far the best game(mod) I've ever had, and whenever i look at Frankie's videos, i really miss being able to play dayz.Any tips to get the game working would be appreciated. I know many, many others have this problem, but nothing seems to work.
