    Hunt me down

Maybe the DayZ creators can create some skins with white sheets and pointy hats... All we'd need after that for complete immersion is some dogs, burning torches and pitch forks... Seriously now... is this thread really the best way forward for DayZ??? You should really have a look at this website: http://withoutsanctuary.org/main.html

    Hunt me down

dayz... reduced to a clip of "the running man" This game will be doomed unless its creators include random side missions to keep its players drawn in, occupied and engaged. Once you have secured a water bottle, hunting knife, matches, an axe and a hunting rifle, the game looses its point, as you are now self sufficient and can survive without ever needing to have run ins with zombies. You stand a better chance of dying of boredom if you don't stir up shit for yourself then. Players are then forced to go look for trouble, usually at their own expense and ultimate demise.... If it were a real apocalypse, 'looking for trouble' is the last thing on anyone's mind, and so the game looses its credibility as a realistic zombie apocalypse shooter. How about starting a new topic discussing some possible random missions the game should provide players? Anyone remember Battle Cruiser 3000AD? Nuff said...
  3. It would be good if player could position themselves as a travling trader. Have truck/old shack/tent, will sell.
  4. I'm quite confident that if I was faced with a zombie with a hanckering for tearing me a new hole, I'd gain the confidence I needed to fire a gun lickety split!

    Add AR-15s in the standalone.

What ever the weapon is being included, please, please have them stored in common sense locations like maybe hidden in a locked drawer, closet or gunrack above the mantle peice! I'd go as far as to say do this for all loot. I'e. food and water found in kitchen cupboards, medicine in bedrooms/cabinetes, etc. The current way that it is currently done is bordering on the rediculous.

    Player Base Building: The MCV

you can built a base from an old shack, vehicle or even tent, collect resources and store them in a lockable container only the owner can have access to. Then adverise so that players can trade/barter. You could even advertise your shop/missions on billboards in towns, etc. If you are out hunting for more merchandise (leave "come back later note"), then visitors can leave a note that they passed and are in need for <place item here> You could also have random NPC peddlers of ware that might be able to offer side missions for trinkets similar to Stalker. What say you?
