    Need some answers

    So I assume these are either known bugs or I am doing some thing wrong but maybe you guys/girls can help me here. 1. Reloading: When I have extra mags in my inventory I am not able to reload by pressing the "R" key. 2. Repairing: When repairing my plate carrier the pistol that was in my holster disappeared... gone :-( Additionally, when painting a gun with spraypaint the magazine/ammo disappear :-( Thank you for the info in advance.

    .61 to Stable, be prepared!

    I am not sure, anytime we have encountered infection or sickness we normally die from it or something else before we can find either! However, now that we have a camp and some storage, if I get sick I will try it out.

    Love this build :-)

    Just wanted to say again how much I like this build! Last night my cousin and I played for a couple hours and we had our best time playing so far. We started as freshies on the coast, made our way in land NW and had a great time. On our way to the north we looted towns and got some pretty good gear. Towards the end of the night we were moving into a military area, my cousin was talking about wolves, which he has not had a run-in with yet. About 5 minutes after he mentioned wolves we heard howling running though the forest at dusk... it was awesome. He started moving quickly to our location, killing zombies and watching for wolves. It was intense. For some reason our server dropped us while in the military base. We spawned back in, continued to search tents and the next thing you know I hear growling! We ran to a guard tower and climbed as fast as we could as the wolves were on our tail. When we got up the tower there were a pack of wolves and zeds everywhere, it was awesome! My cousin and I used what ammo we had on us to kill wolves, the third one killed seemed to be the alpha and the other ran off. Then we spent what ammo we had left on the Zombie, it was awesome and we both survived! Furthermore, the survival aspect has greatly improved. It adds so much more immersion when you have to worry about dying from dehydration, hunger, hypothermia, sickness, infection, etc. and now wolves!

    Wolves attacking Zeds in Tisy Ville

    Yes this is an awesome addition to the game to be sure. It will be awesome when more predators are added, bear for instance. I think a mountain lion in the game would be cool too. My cousin and I had a hard time surviving a wolf attack last night. We were leaving town, I was carrying a gas tank when out of no where we heard them howling, next thing you know they were on us and we were fight to stay a live. It was a lot of fun!

    Yes it is primarily PvE or is supposed to be. The new mechanics are awesome and it is a lot of fun just trying to survive, makes the game world seem much more realistic. Of course, no everyone is friendly so there are times that you will have to kill other players but it is fun to work with others as well. Obviously, you can be a bandit and KOS but you are still exposed to the same environment and need to survive like every other player in the game. I agree with nl, if you are looking for a quick run and gun, you might want to consider a different FPS and not a survival based open world game like DayZ.

    Suggestion: The infected should spawn lying down...

    I think this is a good idea, if they were able to spawn in and then stand. Spawning in crouched, laying down, or in buildings would be cool too. Additionally, if some could stay laying or "dormant" until agro, it might make for some interesting survival situations. For instance, if you go running into a town, and unknowingly step into some zombies on the ground that get up behind you or around you.

    Not only but there is dehydration, hunger, thirst, hypothermia, etc., and all are working well to bring immersion into the game. Zombie animation and engine have been overhauled, wolves and animals work well. There is a lot of crafting... This game is a completely different game. Exile... that game is just a run and gun PvP! Not only that but Exile doesn't have near the amount of development as DayZ SA, it is a mod and uses many preconfigured features.

    Mini Game Scenarios rather than just Open World PVP

    Oh yeah, this is a good idea for sure. It would be awesome if you picked up a 2 way radio, plugged in a battery and got a random distress call. Anyone else with a radio would get the same thing. These are good suggestions and would only add to the game.

    Is there a way to set the max ping through command while connected to the server? Additionally, can someone provide a link to available admin commands in DayZ SA? Thank you.

    Craft a house lock, and skill points.

    A lock for the doors would be cool or at least make it harder to break the door open when using the lockpicks to lock. Maybe make the lockpick a little more rare but be able to use it to lock and unlock any doors. I think this would help build some type of economy/trading and allow for people to actually build communities. It would definitely add to the game if you could store some items securely, a safe or something too
  20. I am not sure if something like this could be implemented and if so it would be a lot further in development. It would be awesome if zombies were harder to kill, for instance, having to hit or shoot them in the head. Melee would take multiple hits and guns would be one. It is kind of that way now but they still die pretty easy. If zombies were a bit more difficult to handle, being able to shut a door and board up a house would be awesome. If the zombies could break through doors and windows, maybe pull down boards. This would be pretty cool if you were trapped in a house alone or with another person and agro'ed zombie started to try and break in!

    Is DayZ now a Survival Simulator? [0.61 discussion]

    I don't think so, the user base will more than likely grow once the game starts to become more realistic in regards to survival (PvE), which will lead to better PvP. Additionally, with .61 you start to see a more polished Alpha, moving towards beta with some really cool features. It will be awesome to see bases/camps, farming, persistence and progression. Growing beards is a great idea, subtle progression that really does not give any advantage in game but it would still be cool get grow a beard and or be able to cut it. There are a lot of Walking Dead fans (zombie fans) out there that would love to actually see a polished zombie survival game.
  22. While playing on exp. branch over the weekend I noticed that when a player goes down, unconscious or dying, that there is an option to do CPR. This seems like a really great feature. I was thinking that it would be cool that if someone dies/flat lines that when brought back with CPR or defibrillator, that the negative status effects would go away. For instance if someone was dying from sickness or infection, if you bring them back it would either delay the health/blood drain slightly or remove the effect but leave them very weak with low blood and health. Then they would need to get food, water, antibiotics, etc. to fully recover. I was wondering what others thought about this.

    32 vs. 64...

    Is the 64bit a new option? I have never been prompted for this before and did not know it would be available. I have been messing around with DayZ on my laptop when I am not at home, typically the fans on it scream because of the heat, which I thought was being caused by the GPU. However, when I launch 64bit, the fans stay quite, is this because it is using multi-processing/multi-threading and run more efficiently?

    Yeah this is nice, man the 64bit runs a lot better on my laptop... my fans were maxing out RPM's before, now I barely hear them running! Awesome! Love to see this type of progression, gets me all excited! I can't wait to try this out on my desktop!
