if you are running any other VIOP ( voice over IP ) program, try running steam in admin mode, some programs will try to take sole use of you mic, leaving other programs with out use of it.

You won't die on the spot, after killing your clone, if you log of then log back in, you log in dead, Dyslexi from Shack Tac also did this.

That was a problem in Mod back in the day, problem was, if some one killed your clone, next time you logged in, you died

I always knew you were into back door action, Steak. >=) Personally, I would hit them back on direct coms, " hello, I'm friendly " because really, whats the worse that's gonna happen, I die, oh noes, not my melee weapon, because my fists aren't a hundred times better, as of late I've responded with some funny stuff like " you's got a purrdy mouth boi, why dontcha come on over here " in my southern voice, or sit in the corner with free look on, and when they come in start going spastic with the mouse and make zombie noises over direct, had a few people back off from that one, shot once, and one dude, laughed, said I was awesome and gave me some food.

Well maybe, just maybe if you guys added me on steam, hell, been waiting to hear back from you for almost a year now =P

Verify you game cache, seems to do they trick with most settings not saving, then try your settings again, hopefully should save

Sorry, that's how it came across to me but, yes, the game is in alpha, the dev team is well aware of the problems in the game and what the player base would like to see but, they also see at least twelve posts a week about " what this game needs " or " fix this game " posts. We would all love to see more frequent updates come out with more content but the Day Z team is a small one, and they just shelled out ( or so rumor says ) for a team to work on the AI, so maybe, hopefully we will see more progress soon but remember, they are still a small team doing what they can, things will get better but this is still alpha. * Steps off soap box * weird......... I normally only do that in the MLP thread........... well, back to off topic...........
