Ok. There's no public hive anymore right? So I start on a server, kill 2 guys to gear up and head to NWAF (or anothe high z spawn). I spend a few hours in and around there killing z's. Good to go. I'm now a friendly player again. B)
I've played that game on Epoch many times. The hero trader usually has lower prices. :D

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if my computer would be able to handle DayZ. I've purchased a new graphics card and was hoping I am able to run this game!
- Motherboard- MB Biostar A880GZ 880G AM3+ R
- Graphics Card- EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB
- RAM- 8 GB DDR3
- CPU- AMD Fx-4100 (I know it's bad :()
- Power Supply- 600 W (forgot the brand)
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Swap it to an FX4130@3.8 and a HD7850 1GB and I got decent fps. Big cities took a hit though. It will be very playable but don't expect awesomeness.

Yep, where you went wrong was in thinking DayZ was a completed game that's been optimized.

If it were up to me you wouldn't be able to run more than say 25 meters or so while carrying a full one Then you'd be restricted to walking speed.
Be thankful the devs are more generous. :D

If they implement ANY other peripheral than kb/m you'll be able to make it work. Even if your device isn't supported, all you need is a mapping program.
I'd like to use my HOTAS setup in a chopper like I do in the mod. :)

I usually forget the game is actually in color.

Or, try Dayz Launcher. It's pretty close to being commander but uses the same files as steam. Some servers don't show up in the search but I have yet to have a problem typing in an IP and connecting.
Last time I tried commander, it made me download the mod again (steam files didn't match) and then it wouldn't show my server.

Ahhh the miles I logged in Chernarus playing the mod until the first time I found a GPS. Oh, what glory! Lasted all of about 15 minutes until i was murdered at the other end of the airfield. Good times. Good times indeed. B)

This was done in one of the mods. If you are sick and you die, you respawn as a zombie. It's a neat concept but no one likes playing as a zombie.
