I wish someone else would chime in about this. I just switched my server back to Chernarus in anticipation of the patch and I don't want to waste time installing scripts if they won't work after. I did see another post like this on opendayz. Also without a definitive answer. -

You should be able to click "continue" and still join the server. I get messages like that quite often. It's usually a server related issue. -

In my experience, the curse of the Dew is compounded exponentially for every can of Dew you carry. Be glad you didn't have 3. I don't think the forum could handle such horror.

Help Seeing People in DayZ

This. You may also want to find an empty server with AI on it for some practice spotting. The AI usually run in groups so they're a bit easier to see. If nothing else you'll get a feel for spotting the movement. -
May I ask why? There are thousands of servers that are set up any way that you could possibly want. A very large number of them remain empty.

AMD FX4130 3.8 oc'd to 4.2ghz 8gb 1600mhz DDR3 Radeon 7850 2gb (also oc'd) SSD Everything on high I'm averaging 50 fps on Celle. On Chernarus it's usually around 35.

Pro tip... Turn most of your video settings to high. You're card can handle it and it will take a bunch of strain off your CPU.

Are you using dayz commander? If so, check the "settings" tab and make sure "Run windowed" is NOT checked. -
This thread is funny. I'll just add that I'm fine with the prospect of dayz on consoles. The casual players will chose that route IMO. Also, don't hold your breathe for cross platform servers. Microsoft themselves have tested this and came to the conclusion that game pads can't compete with a KB & mouse for speed and accuracy. THEY'RE words, not mine.

Freebie for the day. "Please don't kill me!" is usually a pretty good example of a kos player, as I've experienced. They're usually afraid they'll be shot because thats how they play the game. This is fairly useless when encountering a "seasoned" player though. -

The tents should stay period. After 7 of not accessing a tent, you lose "possession" of it where you can no longer pack and move it. I usually have to manually delete unused tents as they NEVER go away by themselves. Who is your server host? Some have options to clean up deployables, some are even in the DB.

So does removing the weapons that instill fear in anyone not carrying one, but they got removed anyway. :\

I like it. I always thought you should be able to put a bike in a car or truck. Use the vehicle to cross the map, pull out your bike to loot and pillage Berizino!

That's not easy to enforce unless you have someone watching everyone on the server 24/7. I could create a "safe zone" on my server if you're interested. Anyone entering the area would get teleported away. Unfortunately, it's usually pretty dead but I don't really advertise it. I should start. lol. Running Tavi right now with Sarge's AI, debug monitor, clear weather, added buildings, vehicles and a few hidden bases.

Nice! Drive even more players to customized private servers! This is like the US government. Take away the things we're accustomed to just to appease a few loud mouths who think they know what's best for everyone. If you take all the guns out, no one will have to worry about being shot at all. Can't get more balanced than that eh?.
