Using the arma 2 keybindings it's "P". Not sure with standard DayZ keybindings.

The problem here is you can get out of the game just as quick without alt/f4 or using the exit game system. There are other ways and people use them. A timer for properly leaving the game PLUS something like your character remaining in game if you leave by other means would certainly help. Even then it's hard to know if someone leaves a server because they wanted to, had a hardware/software issue, power outage, etc.

Uhmm.. is there not military in Balota? I'm all for spawning anywhere on the map. As random as possible. This will cure the cherno/elektro deathmatch syndrome.

Probably an update to the database, then a server restart. Don't get attached to your gear!

I rejoined the same server the 2 times I died. My body DID disappear the 1 time I was able to go back to it.

You find the map in pieces. Not the whole thing at once.

I'd be happy with restart warnings. The problem with character wipes and alpha is that they may not know it's going to happen or it could only happen to people with certain gear, etc, when a change is implemented.

Honestly, it's not going to matter how the game turns out in the end. If there are weapons and melee combat, a large number of people will play just to see how many kills they can get. I've only encountered 1 group that were friendly in 15 hours of play time (I've only played alone thus far) and that was the first night of release. I've even had a dude come after me with his fists even though I was carrying a fire axe. Douchebaggery will persist. :\
