  1. To get back to the original intention of this thread, does anyone have any suggestions for a low tier gun that could possibly replace the winchester, or be added to the the current holy trinity? One possible addition is the Ruger 10/22 Fires .22, extremely quiet, but very weak. Very fast firing rate with low recoil. One of the most popular .22 rifles in the world, making it plentiful. Could be useful for hunting and zombies, being the quietest gun in the game only louder than the suppressed weapons. (and obviously the crossbow)
  2. If they were listed as an m4/m16 and shot 12 gauge, then yes I would say they were not real. But as it is they fire 5.56, as they do in real life.
  3. Okay... you see that red underlined thing in my last post... kinda looks like THIS? That is a link. It brings you to the wiki article for the Winchester Model 1866, where it clearly states that it is chambered in .44 Henry. The game currently has it using 12 gauge. That makes it incorrect. There is no 12 gauge winchester model 1866. Therefor it is not a real gun. Every other firearm in the mod are accurate copies of actual firearms that exist today. As to the original design mixup, I must have heard it in an interview, as I cant locate anything about it on the forums
  4. I'm guessing it's temporary because it's not a real weapon, like every other firearm in the game. I think I remember hearing they tossed the idea around, and someone made it into a shotgun rather than the .44 Henry rifle that it is. But at the time they needed weapons so they just threw it in with the intentions of either replacing it, or making it what it actually is. I could be talking out of my ass though, as i can't seem to find anything to back this up.

    Single person aircraft? If it can be done, I'd love to see it.
  7. I for one have seen some people put it to good use, using it to fortify locations and what not. If the hitbox was fixed it would still be useful for fortification, and take away the ability to place them in doorways making them impossible to remove. And another question... where are the tank traps at? Did they get removed or are they just super rare now? I remember finding a few a while back but haven't seen any in weeks.

    Helicopter help

    I've got a question about helecopters and instead of making a new thread I'll just post it here. Last night we found a helicopter, right next to a fuel tank with jerry cans. Score! So we filled it up and took off, but the fuel level was dropping rapidly. Come to find out we were leaking fuel. All the parts were green, but we attempted to fix some things anyway. We had fuel tank parts and scrap metal, but the only option we got were, hull, missile, avionics, and i think something else. No matter what we repaired, we would keep losing fuel, even when the motor was off. It was like going 2 steps forward, then 1.5 steps back. It took forever to fill up, and when it did it would lose fuel at a rapid pace. What do you need to fix to stop this? And what item do you need to fix it?
  9. You can use a toolbox to take them down. However it seems you need to target the metal legs that hold it up, and sometimes they are placed where these legs disappear into walls, making removal impossible.

    Winny changes

    I love that it has been changed, it was way too quiet and overpowered. My dream however is for it to be the carbine that it is. Pistol sized rounds, damage and noise on par with the mp5. 1 hit kill headshots, 2-3 torso. Decent ammo capacity, not to loud, short to mid range, but with the ammo a little more rare. Faster firing than the bolt actions, but slower than a semi automatic. But changing it from the go to gun on the coast to something not exceptionally better than the enfield/cz is a step in the right direction.
  11. Well the large number of zombies that came with 1.5.7 was unintended. And from what I've read, he didn't lower the numbers, just slowed the spawn rate a bit. Before 1.5.7 a small town up north would have somewhere between 10-15 zombies. After 1.5.7 the same town would have 30 zombies, making them more of a threat, and making the game more difficult and still fun at the same time. But to clear that town of 30 only to have 30 more spawn before you can loot the first house was a little much. And that is what I think got "fixed" with this new patch.

    Another Legion thread? Why do you guys keep making these? You can get the same point across without making a thread like: *ATTENTION* *ATTENTION* THIS IS A LEGION THREAD. WE DO NOT WANT ANY ARGUMENTS HERE. I'M BEING SUPER CEREAL Seriously a thread titled "Need more communication regarding Dallas servers" would have served just fine. You could have been vague in the information provided so that only those in the know (you know the ones you want to talk to) would have gotten what you were saying. You guys always make these absurd threads loudly announcing yourselves then complain when people come here to bitch you out. I harbor no love or hate for you guys, but I'm getting really sick of seeing your attention whore threads.

    Next patch is supposed to introduce new lootable skins, making identifying friends much easier.
  14. Did you see the "Paranoia" and "Betrayal" parts? I think it's an accurate portrayal of the tension between players and many trust issues in game.
  15. This could be done without the siren, which in my opinion makes zero sense. We shouldn't be stealing stuff from other games to terrify us. We should have new and unique ways to be terrified. I never though seeing another person in a game could get my heart pumping so much, but this game does that for me. Besides the new zombie sounds (which are freaking awesome) nothing in this mod is creepy scary, or paranormal scary. Yet I'm terrified 95% of the time.

"We need to try and Cull down the amount of PVPing in game so that it's not just a random shoot em up game, but rather create random atmospheres that create uncertainty with the world that each player now lives in... " So a scripted event where we know whats going to happen is "creating a random atmosphere"? I mean, I do think that random scripted events would be a welcome addition. Such as the downed helicopters that have already been added. If they could fly into the map with not enough fuel to go far, then crash that would be pretty cool. Everyone who saw it would make a mad dash to the area of the crash, players and zombies included. That I would love to see. Sirens and a zombie horde that chases the longest living players for whatever reason... not so much.

    Skin Suggestions

    I love the screenshots of the new civie skins. Regular clothing gives this "normal person trying to make it" feel. You're tactically at a disadvantage because you stick out like a sore thumb in the woods. It gives another goal in trying to find some camouflage clothing. Of course army uniforms and the like should be rare, in my opinion as rare as finding a GPS or NVG's.

    Timing of Patch 1.5.8

    Take as much time as you need man. I've never seen a game with so many updates in so little time. It's great that your working so hard on this awesome game. But don't forget the hookers and coke, you need to put some time aside for them.

    Player Placeable Camp Structures

    These idea's are all pretty awesome, but at the same time look like they'd take ALOT of work to get them put into the game. If this is possible, just the idea of building your own community is getting me excited. I love the idea of blueprints + materials. It makes it so that realistically only people with vehicles could gather the materials (as having a bunch of 2x4's in your pack doesnt really make sense), making it difficult to pull off so that every noob in game isnt making little "forts" on the outskirts of every town.
  20. No' date=' it's not, because it's a game. It will always have certain limitations that keep it from being completely realistic, and it's not unreasonable to have certain features in place that counterbalance these limitations. The bandit system was far from perfect, but it was better to have [i']something like it rather than have zero incentive to not wantonly murder, because that's not realistic either. Do you even know what this mod is about? Just go ahead and search rockets posts to get an idea. Heres something to start with.
