  1. What is hard to understand about this? He was talking to the .1% he just felt it necessary to include the 6 zeros to show the correct amount of holders because there are about 800,000+ players in the game. This logic is flawless and clearly you are too dimwitted to see his brilliance, plebeian.

Fanboy excuses. If he can't use numbers with decimal points I'm doubting he could count how many bullets he had left in mosin / gun.

  2. Intel are currently the better CPU's for gaming.  If you're happy with your AMD CPU, then thats fine :) but Intel are better.  Just an fyi for anyone in denial.

As for GPU's,  nVidia are definitely going to pull ahead of AMD in the next couple of months with gsync on the horizon.  Nothing that AMD can come up with will be able to provide a better gaming experience than what gsync can give.

You know that G-Sync will require special hardware in the monitor. So you will need too get a new monitor for G-Sync, and since the hardware is in the monitor AMD will be able too use G-Sync aswell.

Tho, AMD cards of newer generations all have built in support for variable refresh rate. Wich is just what G-Sync does. I'm guessing Nvidia cards do not have this, thats why it's a hardware solution, but will also be backwards compatible etc working with all cards when the new hardware is in the screen.

So, no. G-Sync will not make any difference what so ever.

  3. A true story that will be of interest to the top 000000.1% of Dayz players. Basically the elite, read on friends.

000000000000000000.1% is the same as 0.1%

Since 0000000000000 is not less than 0.

If you type 0.000000001% that is less than 000000000000000000000000000000.1%

You with me mister elite pro master?

Anyway, i think this story is 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% true.

  4. lets see some real time videos, those screen shots or just that, screen shots and show no moving fps

Both me and Terminal Boy showed you logs.

I would give you a video, but recording in 60 FPS @ 2560x1440 will eat up my disk like a beast, and my 1 MBit/s upload line will be busy for a year uploading that to youtube.

And, since this was not about "I have 60 FPS while recording" there is no point.

  5.

But that is not in Cherno :)

I know you saw my FPS in the other thread where that little rat didn't think you could get 60 FPS in the wild. I'm not saying that. You can get stable 60 FPS in wilderness. No doubt, i have it.

But now it was in Cherno. Where you can't get 60 FPS.

And btw, I know where the locations are. Been playing the mod for too long.

And, since I saw your hardware in that other thread aswell. And It's equal too mine in ways. I know you can't run throu cherno with 60 FPS stable.

So lets just drop it. Thanks for sharing data for wilderness tho :)

  6. really?

60s looking up at the sky?

FRAPS log from running around in wilderness:

Oh, and since you seam so curious.

    Looking at ground: 252 FPS

    Looking at sky: 264 FPS

  7. im serious...

    I keep hearing

    "its an alpha"

    "its a ddos"

    "its the holidays"

    "I get 60 fps, on a Pentium 3"

but seriously, has anyone seen any 60 fps other then looking at the ground?

I'm serious aswell. But yes, I get 60 FPS in the wild. Not in a city tho.

    Intel Core I5 3570K, SSD disk, 16 GB ram, crossfire R9 290 4gb.

    Found your problem.

    Stop trolling

  8. I would recomend the Platronics GameCom 780 like someone already has. Cheap headset but with great sound for the money. The microphone is far better than any headset in the same pricerange aswell. The only thing that you do not seam to want is USB connection. Still I would recomend you buy these before any other pice of crap headsets like Steelseries or Razer.

I've tried Razer headsets wich is just plain crap. You pay 90% for the brand. Accidently drop them on the floor and they break.

Same with steelseries, no, worse. Totalt and utter crap.

The Platronics GameCom 780 how ever. As I said, performes good and have dropped them 100 times, tripped on the USB cabel 100 times. Still working like new, no problem what so ever.

AA: Normal, everything else on "Rendering" on lowest/off

    Textures: High

    Fraps log:

    2014-01-04 00:42:42 - DayZ

    Frames: 19632 - Time: 364875ms - Avg: 53.805 - Min: 32 - Max: 102

  10. Will Sir accept screenshots showing Afterburner stats?

I will accept a benchmark log from fraps when you run throu cherno.

Benchmark should not be done in 640x480 with lowest possible settings on empty server.

Is there anything that does use HT?

It's good for video/audio encoding and decoding.

Also good when running VMware. Good for much more.

What startup parameters do you use for the amd setup? i've seen elsewhere that the RV engine doesn't recognise the newer shared module design of the AMD FX chips correctly, so setting -cpuCount=4 for the fx8000 series can give quite a performance boost.

Also its worth noting in the OP that you are comparing a £134 amd cpu to a £174 intel cpu so that people can make a fair conclusion.

Yes, I know the i5 cost tiny bit more. But that cost is minimal imo.

Check the price difference just now, it's 22 GBP.

  11. Arma engine does not play well with hyper threading, turn that off in bios and you will get some more frames out of your Intel rig

This is true, but we are talking small earnings in FPS here :) It DOES performe better, but not that much that I would throw away HT for everything else just for that minimum increase in DayZ.

But good tip non the less :)

  12. im running amd 8150 clocked at 4.8ghz and im running on very high everything is smooth for me i get steady 60 fps and my gpu is gtx 480x2 sli

Steady 60 FPS? No one has that. Please use facts in this thread and not estimations.

  13. Hey guys,

I know it's in its alpha stage, but I can't seem to even play the game at all. Even with very low settings I can barely sustain 30FPS. I've tried the config settings and the 8 core command on Steam's boot options - none of which have worked. Is there any way I can boost performance with AMD processors? I've tried turning everything down with no luck. If there isn't, it'll take ages before I can play the game...

Know it sucks, have been experiencing the same. You can see my findings and my perfomance in this thread:

    http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/159972-dayz-amd-vs-intel/#entry1606304

Got  a AMD FX-8120 8 core @4Ghz and getting poor performance-CPU utilization. Getting average of 30fps, goes up to 50+ in woods and as low as 18-20fps in major citys. Even small towns its at like 25-30fps. I know AMD processors isn't exactly top of the line but i'm getting around 80% usage on one core and like 10-20% on the rest.

You must be doing something odd. Had 90% load on all 8 cores on my FX-8350. Still crap perfomance tho.

  14. I guess all sounds are from some FX sounds pack?

If you actually made them all yourself that fucking awsome job.

If not, I guess there are licens issues and such, can't just add them too the game.

Anyway, if not your own FX great job, nice movies good ideas.

If your own FX, I'm amazed and you are the master of FX.
