Well then I would be happy with 25 FPS while recording. The game reads alot from the disk, and when recording you write alot aswell. And AMD CPUs are known for not beeing the best in DayZ. I guess if you have alot of ram, try running the game from ramdisk and record to the HDD. Also, if you have not optimized the game look into that. Search the forum for Dayz Optimization or google.

His CPU is bottlenecking, it's facts. Every CPU on this earth will bottleneck in DayZ SA. You would need a cluster of quantum computers for it not too bottleneck. Fact remains, just becaus the CPU can't handle DayZ doesn't mean that the CPU can't handle the cards. I don't even know where you are going with this. It's not like hes got SLI 780Ti's running with a Intel Pentium II I know that his CPU will be about 95% load and his first card will have about 45-55% load. It's all about DayZ optimization not that the CPU is crap.

Hard one, I got no clue what components cost in AUS. But here are some guide lines. Start with CPU, get Intel core i5 4670k, do not save the extra buck and get a AMD that will shit it's pants when it see DayZ. Trust me. Put some money on a GFX card, put some money on 8gb of ram with the top speed of the motherboard you select.

In real life, I would run as fast with the compass in my hand as I would putting it in my pocket. But since you run so fudging slow with compass in hand it's not realistic at all, since what you do is put the thing away, run for a while, take it up watching that slow "take out compass"-animation, look at it, watch the slow "put compass away"-animation, repeat. This gets very tiresome. Now, this is just what I'm guessing is the problem for people who doesn't know Chernarus by heart. I was born in Горка.

It has nothing to do with GPU. My R9 290 card is running at 40% load.

Posten a note on that earlier :) It was about 19 FPS with the AMD Setup. And as I said earlier, havent tried it that much on i5 setup yet but so far it's where the intel shines even more. Looking at Stary Sobor with 50 FPS seeing whole town. This dropped the FPS way low with the FX-8350 I've benchmarked BF4 on the AMD Setup before I took it apart. And did it now on the i5 setup. Battlefield 4 AMD setup: Avg: 79.588 - Min: 47 - Max: 121 Intel Setup: Avg: 77.085 - Min: 51 - Max: 134 It's not that the FX-8350 is a crap CPU, or that the i5 is so superior. It's just that Arma 2/3, DayZ wont play well with AMD. Has nothing to do with AMD and Dice partnership since Intel will keep just as high frames if not higher in BF4 aswell.

The SSD used was installed with the AMD parts with all latest drivers. Then same SSD was used untouched with the i5 system. So if it's unfair it's unfair against the i5. The only thing that was not running proper on the i5 system was AHCI. Graphic cards latest firmware. Motherboard Latest firmware. Latest graphic card drivers. Latest motherboard chipset drivers. Windows 8.1 Everything used is either latest stable or latest beta of everything. Firmwares, Drivers, Operatingsystem.

The best part is, wich I didn't mention in the OP. When I was looking at or moving around in a city with the AMD setup it would COMPLETLY kill my FPS. It would go as low as 15-19 FPS. Now with the Core I5 i'm looking down at Stary Sobor atm with 50 FPS. That is the real difference.

Well this is PURELY Arma 2/3 Dayz related. When I play BF4 on that AMD SETUP, i run ULTRA @ 2560x1440 with 75-100 FPS.

The GPUs are same in both rigs. CPU is different.
