Yeah I'm trying to get a friend into Dayz. I think that the lack of a respawn button just ruined the game for him. He was running down the road when his legs broke. Middle of a field, no zombies. 45 minutes of crawling around eating rotten fruit to try and die. It's one thing to be hardcore in a solid game, but in an alpha where your leg can get broken spontaneously via bug, it's fucking stupid to make people crawl around for hours or wait to die of thirst.

Funny, I can't find any information on the import/export laws for firearms in Chernarus. Maybe someone can post a link to a Chernarus gov't website with import/export laws? Wikipedia and the CIA World Factbook are broken apparently, they have exluded Chernarus completely. This is making it hard for me to discern whether or not there would be Glock 18s in Chernarus, but everybody else seems quite confident that there would never be a western machine pistol available in any former Soviet block country. What a connundrum!

Sure he said tha t he wanted to be part of the devel opment process. Sure, he paid money to be part of the develo pment process. Sure, the application that he downloaded was clearly marked as "in development". But can you really blame him for cloning every other idiotic "gee, this alpha is alpha-ish" thread? Steam takes a (probably rather large) cut. The Czech Gov't likely takes a cut. The US gov't almost certainly takes a cut. BI just hired a load of people to work on the project. New offices to house them. A lot of the money will get rolled into current and furture development. Some of the money will get rolled around in by a buck naked BI CEO.

Unless there are zombie chickens, healthy chickens will continue shitting eggs every week. Also, wild birds will continue to lay eggs, meaning that this would be a good source of protein in the woods.

This is probably a good time to point out the difference between maximum distance and maximum effective range. The only example I can recall off the top of my head is the MK19, which (according to Uncle Sugar) has a maximum effective range of 1500 yards, but a maximum distance of like 2300 yards. Of course, the MK-19 isn't the best example because it's a plunging fire weaon with explosive rounds, but you get the idea and I can't remember any others. :D

I'll just leave that there. There is nothing inherently inaccurate about .22 lr. It has limitations, but accuracy per se isn't one of them. At least, not within the skill level of most shooters. Kirsten Joy Weiss or Tarl Kempley might have room to complain, but most of us do not.
