Totally seeing the journals that would be like: "You are a male genitalia for killing me"

Disconnections first: -To be able to disconnect one will wait not moving for 30 seconds through a command input -An hourglass or another 2d visual element will be on top of his head (example of why this is needed: players trying to rob your stuff without harming you). -Alt+f4 or menu abort will leave your avatar not moving with the same behaviour mentioned on the previous part for 30 seconds. Reasons for this: -You can't avoid a firefight -You can't avoid a zombie chase -You can't avoid a robbery -You can't avoid altogether! lol --- Some people have suggested 60-120 seconds. That's a bit too much considering the nature of some of the zombies that can noclip you inside a building. This is meant to not allow you to avoid a currently happening situation. Now for bandits: With the removal of bandits, there's too much of a risk to give the benefit of the doubt. However there's a way to still be fair and at the same time realistic somehow. Maybe the inclusion of a change of skin that shows your hands and clothes with blood could happen if you: A) shoot him dead at pointblank (too close to him) B) loot his corpse. And of course there would be ways to clean it up such as standing on the rain for enough time, swimming or going to a water pond and cleaning yourself. It would at least tell you if that player just murdered someone recently, and that's something you would be able to see in real life as well.

Disconnections and bandits (2 in 1 suggestion)

I read something about a warning when you dc too many times on a short period, and then getting killed (if you keep disconnecting) -
Disconnections and bandits (2 in 1 suggestion)
blitzcloud replied to blitzcloud's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Yeah, the thing is the solution rocket is proposing doesn't really affect disconnecters on firefights. It would affect those like me who join a server expecting them to honor their timezone when they do not :/ And yeah, probablt you're right about the 2 in 1 thing. Meant to say two suggestions in one thread. -

Bandit/Survivor Morphing to be removed
blitzcloud replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
I'll just quote myself ============================ Turning into a bandit was some sort of blacklisting for premature triggerhappy people. It gave you at least a reason not to freak out instantly. "blablablah, immersion, in real life bandits would be people like us... Implying that real life doesn't have smooth comunication, that you can't see how a person is reacting (body language, expression), seeing if he's hungry and may kill you for food, and some sort of brain response delay known as lag in this virtual world" The truth is that a survivor-esque player won't like to be a "bad guy" for a long time so he can be shot on sight by survivors. Yesterday i found a player. I did not stop moving, and neither did he (easy headshot if we do). We circled eachother continously aiming due to the lack of voice and we kept going our own way respectively. However I only gave him this benefit of the doubt because he was a survivor. Knowing that from this point on everyone is equal, this benefit of the doubt turned from 50% to 10%, and since I'm not going to be blacklisted on the eyes of the other survivors modelwise, I can just finish off anyone that represents even the slightest risk. -
Congratulation! You are the 1,000,000th person to make this statement! Dont mean to sound offensive but... should I care? I said the same on the 1.5.9 discussion. With this update, the shoot first ask later is gonna be my way of playing. Not going to risk myself to be shot in the face by a bandit pretending to be a survivor. Indeed, a disconnect timer would be enough. And even if you crash or alt+f4, your character would still stay those 30 secs on the server. Also, make it something that pops a visual element of disconnection, for those people that may try to disconnect when being robbed.

Bandit/Survivor Morphing to be removed
blitzcloud replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
this means Greedo shot first. Not really gonna bother with the tension of some moments i've had. Everytime I see a survivor close enough to be dangerous, i'll take him down. I thought having bandit skin was a good thing to prevent some people from pulling the trigger prematurely. I mean, is it worth to kill this person and be blacklisted on the eyes of survivors? Right now it will be shoot first, ask later. At least that's how it will be for me. If the reason for removing them is that sometimes you may be wrongfully bandit... How about a system where you can redeem yourself happens? Such as giving aid to a survivor, or enough time without killing a survivor? -
Cannot Connect to Servers Running Hive 0.9.1
blitzcloud replied to Skint (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I wonder what's up with that, indeed. BEcause there's people in there. -
So when i tried to place a flashlight on my bag, the game crashed... hard. From that point i am nearly unable to play: My usual played servers are waiting for server response all the time. Then in others I get kicked before being even in the game. And some even claim my Battleye ain't responding. I can get in a very small selection of servers where it's pitch black night... in Cherno. I already survived a full night with a big storm, then when the day comes i'm forbidden from playing there. It's like a curse lol
