The random sounds freak me out more often than not and I don´t really understand why they are in. I mean, those rabbits making ZED sounds while jumping are somewhat funny but the ghost footsteps are terrifying!

We need a game reset for what? Play pvp and you will get a "reset" sooner or later who gives a rats ass on that? If you don´t play pvp learn to avoid players/carefully approach and be fine. It´s not that hard. Resetting would solve nothing for you and it would just "hurt" players that try to survive as long as they can. That fairy tale about "fully geared" players is quite funny though. Let me guess, you think it´s hard to get fully pimped for pvp eh? Usually it takes 2hours to be fully pimped. 1) Get on a full server 2) Grab some stuff you find while making your way to the NWA 3) Kill a geared up player - you will find plenty of them up there - around Stary-Novy-Vybor-NWA 4) Be fully geared and try to not get killed

The "North" is pretty crowded lately. We killed a lot of people from Stary to NWEA so yes, you will find a lot PVP up in the North. Since M4´s and 5.56 ammo does spawn in HCs only now and you have a lot of potential HCs in the North people go there more. Plus the new spawn areas where you are closer to the m-bases/airfields in the north than to Balota. I for myself haven´t seen the coast for ~1month now and constantly meet/kill people in the North.

Well there are deadlines in the programming sector and one should take them serious but the problem is, there is mostly someone who pushes you over the limit and that´s were deadlines "die" and shit happens. With a proper timetable, experience and no - my apologise - idiots pushing you over the limit deadlines are no real problem. Sadly the reality is something else for most studios. And in the case of DayZ it´s mostly the "too many cooks" problem. If you try to achieve such a project without a well worked in team and a ton of project management experience you simply can´t deliver "in time". So as long as they are working on it I am happy. :)

Sporter is a nice gun to re-equip yourself since you have these nice mags and it kills zeds okish without attracting everyone around. And maybe they fixed the sound bugs on experimental so ZEDs wont get attracted too. Last time I checked it made no difference from SKS to Sporter and that was weird.

I only came along one "cheater" so far. I went unconscious from one sec to the other and when I got up again he was staying in front of me with equipment talking to me and telling me is using "radar and teleport". After that he started to fly ~2meters over the ground telling me he is "Battleye" and no one will ban him ever. He was one of these script kiddies and the only "cheater" I really encountered for sure so far. I guess he will be banned with the next BE ban wave so I am fine. DayZ Mod was a lot worse for sure - actually I stopped playing on public hive completely and went to a white listed server because of all the script kiddies.

I don´t know what they did nor do I know him but we patrol that area a lot too but mostly to help out bambis and kill spawncampers. So just because you are there doesn´t mean you want to hunt bambis. :D

I don´t get the sniper hate :D Let them have their toys and shit. People who that don´t like military stuff can avoid it. And if you´re getting sniped in DayZ it was an experienced player or you just idled on the street. Ok, maybe you went to military spawns and got unlucky but grouping up and beeing a bit careful and you won´t get sniped at all. If everything fails get yourself on a friendly server there are plenty of servers were squads patrol to protect your back. Last but not least, once we have the 100player servers, ZED mobs, animals and more options to do stuff you can avoid the areas were snipers like to camp without having anything to do. Right now you just need to go inland and be fine. On the whole ghillie, range finder whatever thing. Get the stuff in. You don´t need a ghillie to be pretty invisible right now and you don´t need a range finder/dayz map to hit your target. What you need is experience and a stable server. It´s hard to hit someone above 600m but whoever tried to hit someone above 600m with a bloody mosin knows it´s no easy task. Range finder won´t help here at all. It´s a nice tool to have but milldots are so much better. So I just wish to get a m24 in.

Where can I get the new 1.7.5 version running on this server? dayzmod.com/downloads as the server says doesnt exist.

This 1.7.5 build seems to be a little tougher, died 3 times from zeds because I´m not used to zeds who actually do something. :D Besides that it just feels a lot better to play on a well managed private hive. No more fear of getting ported by some kiddy is worth more than I have thought :D

Ok, found the server, joined and send email. @TonuOss all thermal scoped weapons are removed - as far as I know.

Hiding a huey is not that easy, hiding my beloved little bugger/birg is easy. Look for spots you wont see from ground and hope no heli crew will fly over. But using huey alone is kinda worthless since it needs tons of repair and fuel plus weapon crew.

Gamma adjustment just works when there is moonlight up. If it´s rainy or there are just many clouds you wont see anything even with gamma up to max. Wont be a good change but a workaround to just set rainy weather/cloudy sky at night times.

Nice idea, my bro and me hunting bandits who are on the "lets kill innocent bambis at the coast/cherno/elektro" trip but that´s a nice idea. :D

Get a camp? I tend to carry the weapons needed for the job, so I would strongly recommend a camp and a quad to be mobile while having a camp to get what you need.

Nice survive! I think I am at 10days now and it goes steep now. 2 vehicles, camp and fully equipped hero is something I dont want to lose and since I am on full servers most of the time it´s kinda challenging. Helping bambis sometimes mean you are meeting a freshly spawned nothing to lose idiot.

I got my hero skin for being gentle but most people shot me on sight so I´ve learned my lesson. Be cautious, have them pinned down and start communicate. Never "buddy up" with someone when you are alone. Since I have more or less everything right now (some weapons still missing, a quad or a bike would be useful) I dont want to lose stuff. I´m willing to help everyone except a sniper on a roof. :D If you are helpful to bambis you should lose your bandit status pretty soon. I got my hero skin doing that. Giving bambis basic equipment, like hatchet, food, water, compass, map, watch, hunting knife, bandages, p-killers and maybe even morphine will pay back more often than not.

Still need a transfusion? If there was no server restart and I hope so for the sake of our stuff my bro and me can come to help you out and resupply you with basic equipment and some other stuff - since we have vehicles and are not too far away we could make it in 7mins I´d say. I am not at home right now but will be back soon.

Yeah, survival of the fittest :D High pop servers are such dangerous places nowadays.
