Its a private hive, the map can be modified anyway the server admins like. They don't have to run the vanilla dayz rules as specified by the dev team. Most of the community has migrated to private hives to escape hackers and ghosters anyway so i don't think worrying about the community fragmenting is a valid concern. Just call it a bit of extra flavour to stop players congregating at the usual hotspots. -

Stop shooting people and taking their stuff. Instead get your own stuff and use it for good. Then get bored and go back to being a bandit cos its who you are.

I've had a guy (bandit) claim on side that a cease fire had been in effect on the server and that i'd broken it by shooting him. His mates then came after me. I shot them too. That's not banditry to me though.

What is your ram? What you posted doesn't make sense. HP is notorious for bloatware OE packed with crap you don't need which hogs resources for no good end. If you don't have a windows install disk to do a fresh windows install i would suggest running a program called pcdecrapifier to clean some of it away and then check your startup options by running msconfig and stopping services you don't need

Go on an empty server and practice with zeds. Get a train going and see how quick you can lose them. Run through trees to break los, go through buildings with 2 doors or crouch in pine trees. You will soon have them in your pocket :)

Man there's so many things this could be its not even funny. Don't put all your faith in Norton either BTW. Even a fully functional AV can't protect you from everything. Only good browsing habits can do that!

All the new maps are on private hives due to them not having anything to do with rocket and co.

Sounds like a bug. Wherever there's buildings there's loot and zeds. Maybe try another server?

On the main menu of arma OA, there is a tab marked expansions. You can turn on/off the various mods you have installed.

If you play namalsk or lingor etc, they are all unofficial maps and are on private hives and will have no effect on your chernarus character.

Check dayz wiki for a list of legit dayz weapons. If they give you a legit weapon then you wont get banned for using it. Only whoever spawned it. If its a non legit weapon, put it on a zombie corpse and hide it without using it.

The moment you saw the ak guy you should have thought 'outgunned, no cover'. Then you should have ran like buggery and hoped he went for hatchet guy 1st. Then you should have made a resolution not to meet your buddy in the Cherno church. Meet up in remote locations (even that ain't 100% safe) and don't go into cherno or elektro or Stary etc until your well armed and willing to shoot 1st. People generally don't take chances in the cities even if they are friendly elsewhere.
