What we need is simply the name of the latest server we've played on in the server browser (or have it highlighted in the first position of the server list).
-
Where does it spawn? Didn't find any so far.
-
I'm afraid I have not understood you. You recommend to go onto a server with persistence disabled and .... ?
-
The server filter should offer the possibility to exclude things: view mode and hive. Actually there are four different types of servers: public 1st person, public 3rd, private 1st and private 3rd. It is not possible to show up for example "1st person public servers" in one continuous block. Quite often I land on some useless private server because I have not watched carefully.

Lets get real, the real issue with this game
roguetrooper replied to Alex Leonhart's topic in General Discussion
Somehow I am with you. Critics will respond "a netcode programmer has nothing to do with a 3D artist" and all this. So then, what about employing more netcode guys and when this has been developed enough, replace them (majority) by 3D artists? DayZ did not have to be developed from scratch and the Alpha has been out now for almost 1.5 years. Millions have already been payed. Tenthousands are constantly playing and reporting issues and bugs, contributing for free (actually they have payed for this) to the development. Currently the status is 0.54 with 0.01 added every two months. So, emn, yeah. 2018? -
It is heli loot? Then I can forget about it since I don't own a server :-/

Do environmental Coke and eating sounds mean something?
roguetrooper posted a topic in General Discussion
Does it mean anything when you hear Coke opening and eating sounds (but you are not eating)? I've heard it means somebody logs in nearby. Is it true? Within what range? -
There should be an option to have a permanent display for ping and desync: off, upper left corner, lower left corner, lower right corner. In an unobstrusive way like the weapon zeroing.

Option: permanent display of ping and desync
roguetrooper replied to roguetrooper's topic in Suggestions
I've been experiencing all the time that permanently visible desync and ping (as an option) would be extremely handy and convenient. -
Do environmental Coke and eating sounds mean something?
roguetrooper replied to roguetrooper's topic in General Discussion
So these sounds exceed the 1-km-network-bubble? It would be great to have some official and confirmed information from the devs about all these things: network-bubble, sound ranges, players logging in and all that. Even if it's only a bug. -
Thoughts on the new eating and drinking system?
roguetrooper replied to battlerhd's topic in General Discussion
Actually it is quite rediculous what amount of food and drinks you need to quench thist and hunger. Even when you've been running at warm temperatures over a longer time, you don't need (and foremost can't) to drink three litres (i.e. three PET or field bottles). -
Since I need 1-2 bullets from 10m distance to kill a zombie with the AK74, but only one with a Magnum at 50m, I wonder if the AK74 (i.e. its ammo) is to weak.

Holding up a two man armed squad - Solo - Hardcore
roguetrooper replied to sobieski12's topic in Gallery
One of the best actual gameplay (not previewing something) videos ever. Puts some content into DayZ which actually only consists of killing (since there is nothing else you can actually do). -
Mosquito/Nat/Fly Sounds. - TAKE THEM OUT.

I'm more annoyed by the permanent ocean and wind swoosh. I couldn't play Arma 2 for a longer time withing the range of the ocean. Terrible. Both ingame and in the main menu. -
What we need is an automatic information system that the server will restart in 3 (or whatever) minutes. This sudden "crash" without any warning is just extremely annoying!
-
Didn't the devs say a few months(?) duping has been removed? Is it still possible? Why do they say it has been removed when it's still possible? Is it that hard to remove?
-
Could you please eventually remove that extremely annoying swoosh noise / wind sound from the main menu? That sound that is to be heard in the alpha-reminder screen and the main menu screen with the character in the background. Btw, I also think that this sound is way to strong during night time. It is very annoying and inconvenient in its current volume.

The Outsiders: Clearing out bandits in Berezino!
roguetrooper replied to The_Lonely_Bandit's topic in Gallery
Most likely there is another video by someone else named "Shot by bandits in Berezino"... -
This section is for the standalone, not for the mod.

I haven't seen a Blaze since the new patch.

I have a pristine compass and it definetely shows wrong directions.

I'd like to point at my signature.

---ATTENTION ALL SERVER HOSTERS---
roguetrooper replied to airborneguy's topic in General Discussion
Players are asked to report such servers. Lol, the devs just need to open the server list by themselves to instantly encounter hundreds of those servers... Oh wait... a closed server does not flush in money... -
Those keyboard sounds are a bit annoying.

---ATTENTION ALL SERVER HOSTERS---

Just remove the feature of kicking people. The only persons who should be kicked are cheaters (and unaccaptable high pings). And you can't tell who's the/a cheater (when you see him you don't know the name and when you encounter 'anonymous' cheating activity, you also don't know the name). The only reason why people are actually kicked is a safe high-end loot environment for the admins.
