Concerning bad sounds, is it just me or does anyone else notice that zombie sounds do not come from the correct speaker (5.1 and more systems)? When there is one grunting zombie nearby, I always hear him from the same speaker, no matter what direction I am facing (no problems in other games). -

When you play in 3rd person, silenced guns have a different sound, when the camera is behind the gun (i.e. 1st person or shoulder view) then when you turn the camera frontmost. -

To report illegally kicking servers/admins, it would be really helpful to have "last server you were on" (separate for 1st and 3rd person view, both with server name and IP adress) in the server browser. When I select a server from the browser, I look for 1st/3rd, ping, daytime and player amount, but I do not write down the server name with a pen on a paper. -

Why exactly is there still the possibility to be kicked from public servers? The only reasons should be a permanently high ping, cheating and maybe a free slot for the one who pays for the server. 1.) High ping should be handled by access restrictions and automated handling by the server (if the ping increases permanently after being connected to the server). Maybe with a short warning time (1-2 minutes) for the client. 2.) Cheating can not be judged by other players since you can not tell who is cheating. Names don't have a faintest meaning in DayZ. Thus, being kicked for cheating should be handled by the server/BattlEye only. 3.) Like being kicked for high ping, being kicked (randomly chosen by the server) to let the server owner in, should be handled automatically by the server. A warning time/countdown for the according client would be nice. There is no single reason to have a button or command for the server owner to kick somebody from a public server. THE ONLY PURPOSE OF SUCH A BUTTON OR COMMAND IS TO CREATE A SAFE LOOTING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE ADMIN AND HIS FRIENDS. -

I am against these stupid messages. Small, plain and simple numericals with definable position and transparency would be the best Like (100 = best value for your body, 0 = worst): 100 68 10 99 1st: health 2nd: saturation food 3rd: saturation water 4th: stamina This would be very UNobstrusive and informative as well and it represents reality best (translation into a video game how your body tells you what it needs). This also takes less space on the screen (to have a realistic field of view) than much less informative icons that aren't really helpful at this size ("Um, how much % of this test-tube are filled there?") Edit: These body informations also only might show up when the inventory is opened, to have nothing at all on the actual game screen (more or less like now, but with informative numbers instead these vague wordy descriptions).

Admins of public servers should not have the possibility at all to kick people. Cheating/hacking should be the only reason for being kicked and since you can not tell who is cheating (with a certain amount of players at least), this ability is just abused. But anyway, indeed, unless you have not left the server by yourself, there should be no waiting time. On the other hand... players then could just press the reset button, pull the modem cable or close the game by other irregular means.

They should just SIMPLY REMOVE the ability for public server admins to kick somebody. The ONLY reason for being kicked should be cheating. And when there is more than one other person on the server who you don't know, then you can not tell who is cheating. Player names don't have the faintest meaning in DayZ and you can't tell who's who until you touch pulse (unrealistic, but... however). -
The insane amount of food and water that you need to consume is rediculous. Even when you are extremely hungry and thirsty, you can't eat three cans of beans and drink three litres of water... which you have to repeat after three kilometers of walking.

Wouldn't it be more useful to fill the waterproof bag with ammo and other wetness-dependent things instead of food cans? ;)

Actually you also need sub-sonic ammunition. With normal ammo you have the the bullet's sonic bang even with a suppressor. Edit: didn't see the sonic stuff already being mentioned in the thread above mine.

Anything planned with tall grass not rendering in the distance?

Grass in the Arma series has always been just eye candy for single players. In multiplayer mode is does the opposite it does in RL: it just blocks your own view whereas you are visible to others (50+ meters). That's why I offer the option to turn off (forced) the grass for everyone in my Arma2/3 multiplayer maps. -
I haven't seen a single Ryan's zombie going through a wall. (And I've seen a LOT in the custom maps I make).

"Ryan's Zombies and Demons" for Arma 3 are really great... AND THEY WORK AS INTENTED o_O (And their spawn animation is much cooler. Instead of just plopping out of nothing, they crawl out of the ground - may not be 'realistic' - but it's really great). Devs, ask this guy to join your team...

polish up the main menu, menus, and UI a bit?

Clips in the background of the menu are totally useless and unnecessary. How much time do you spend in the menu? Five seconds? This isn't worth the loading time (even with an SSD). In all BIS games I have deactivated these clips (Arma 2, Arma 3, ToH, IronFront). -
Hmmm. Good to know a second (beside the two doors) exit out of that building when the lower floors are occupied by a hostile M4-clan.

I've never seen/found any Winchester 70 at all. The only one was from a shot player (not by me and the corpse had already been removed) in the middle of nowhere in the Novy/Stary Sobor region.

Different access times for different inventory containers

You shouldn't be able to draw something out of you backpack while moving. Handguns (actually everything) shouldn't be takeable (a word?) out of a backpack straight into you hand within a single second. Holsters should have the fastes access time for drawing a handgun. Currently they are quite useless (but good looking!) in comparision to other vests.- 1 reply

Leaving behind canteens filled with gas

There should be a confirmation mechanism like "The canteen smells funny. Should I really drink it? <Yes> <No>". In real life you also notice when you are about to drink something that you think to be water and it smells like gas (may not the case for bacterial contamination). -

Being able to switch through hotkeys with 2 primary weapons
