Custom building it if you can will save you probably 30% at least.

My laptop is $2,500 and it still runs DayZ like crap. (Although it runs most other games 60+ FPS on max settings) Get a desktop for $1000 and you can run it easily.

Get the program called DayZ Commander. It is an updater for DayZ. Each time they patch/update DayZ you have to update your version to match the servers. http://www.dayzcommander.com/ -

Join a private server. I haven't seen a single hacker on mine in 5 months. :) DayZ is labeled at being really hack-filled but it really isn't if you are smart with what servers you join. -
Eh... I'm a known bandit too on my server. Being a bandit can get lonely and boring. I find it refreshing to give the new guys a 'tour of the game' by giving them a ride and a gun.

I don't have a problem against NPCs. I find human players much more interesting. Infected are dumb, hence they can easily be run by a computer script. Humans are much more interesting and different than computers in the fact that they are completely random. Yes, people will do some things the same, but there is always that outlier. Playing against computers, especially in FPS games gets boring because they are predictable. If you have ever played ARMA II missions you would know. Yes, the NPCs are very hard but they can be extremely predictable and I don't want that. On top of that, they wouldn't be able to be original in the VOIP communication and such.

Was I the only one that had trouble reading this? I'm not 100% sure of what you mean, but they can't do anything here. You seem like you have found a way to solve your own problem though. You have to go and talk personally to whoever banned you and get yourself off the list or talk to the server owner. -
Nobody pays attention to the idea because it is dumb and will be misused.

No idea where you found that tidbit... Rocket just said at PAX that they will be leaving both 3rd and 1st person in, just that there may be the option for the server owners to lock it to just one. That's all, just doing my part to cut down false rumors. Beast out. -
So... have you watched the Dev Blogs at all? I'm sure they would answer all of your questions in some form.
