Arma II has something similar for clans implemented and it works in DayZ. If you have a clan with a website, once they set up the permissions correctly you can display your clan Logo on your player's sleeve and vehicle. In DayZ, I have PCGN Armbands and a nice-looking PCGN logo on the side of my chopper whenever I fly around. These are also visible to all other players on any server.

This is just the DayZ forums. DayZ is just a Mod of Arma II. If you have an issue with a stolen/illegal copy of Arma II you should be talking to Arma II or Bohemia Interactive Software, not posting on the forums of a Mod...

You can play each map that you download. If you add Origins, you can play Origins. If you download DayZ 2017 you can play DayZ 2017. Of course if you do not download the map you cannot play it. When you download the a 'map' it is actually a separate mod in some sense. DayZ Taviana and DayZ Origins may be both based on the Taviana map but they are much different. Basically, if you download a map or mod, it will only download that specific map or mod. On the left you can filter for servers of only a certain mod, or you can filter for all of them. If you haven't downloaded the map yet it will give you an error on entering. You can download as many maps as you want... I just don't download the ones I know I'm not going to play.

I bought Arma II solely for DayZ. Little did I know that I would spend loads of time on plenty of the other mods and fully enjoy them.

A map is a playable object. It is something that makes the gameplay different. Why would you bitch about an INVENTORY screen? DayZ/ArmaII had a horrible inventory screen and everyone loved DayZ. It was always more about the gameplay than the looks. I would BY FAR have a more immersive and fun map than cry about the fonts and layout of just the inventory screen. Games like Colonial Space Marines had epic looking UI but they failed because the gameplay just sucked. DayZ won't fail just because of an inventory screen.

Open Arma II and Arma II OA WITHOUT DayZ. Then exit and then you can play DayZ. It's just because you're trying to open the mod without ever opening the game.

I bet if people actually posted more positive stuff that we would get more of this too. :( It's stupid how people think that this should look and feel like a AAA title.

Some people have to play without shadows to run at a decent frame rate. This is cool, but it would just make it so fewer people could play.

Rocket has already stated that it's hard to do animations such and countering and pushing that actually work well and look well... Maybe they will add them, but I think that's going to be a hurdle.

You just got banned from Breaking Point... That's not a global.

No need to make another Origins server. Anyways, you have to buy the server through only two server hosting companies. They haven't released the files and there are only two companies verified.
