Just try to survive. This isn't the only DMR you will ever find and there is plenty more good loot out there to find. Don't worry about dying and just have fun playing it out. The more you die, the better you will be at surviving. In the end, its just a game. :) If you want to cheat though, you can always look at the medical aid threads. I consider it cheating and not fun though.

That's great. I hope you have just as much fun as I've had :) Just don't run into the idea that this game is full of hackers and you can't do anything about it. If you dislike the hackers, do some research and join a private community that keeps them out.

Hackers, unless you went through all of you options and enabled a hotkey for it...

In the future I would avoid playing on public servers which have hackers. If you find a private whitelisted server you will never see any hackers.

I have no idea what you mean... Pictures or a video would be greatly helpful.

When I head "endgame," I think of there being an end to the game, or an endingish scenario. I enjoy DayZ as it is. Even if you have all of the best "endgame" gear and bases, you can still get shot in the back, have your tents run over, and have your vehicles blown, up setting you back to square one. If I wanted a game that had an endgame, I would look to countless other titles. I currently play DayZ because it breaks the mold and is different.

You can use good terrain contours to hide tents quite well.

Go to Battleye for it. They can't help you here.

Oh... maybe you are in 1st person. Try hitting the enter key (for some reason I have to use the numbers section's enter key on my computer so try that too). EDIT: Sorry if this just sounds stupid. I have no idea of your experience level other than the fact that this is your first time on the forums.

I feel bad that in your "several laps of the map hitting up the airfields" that you only found an AK. I would have been raging. :(

Like aimed down your sights? Or just it crops the edges of your screen? If it's just cropping the edges of your screen you just need to go into the game's video options and make sure the 3D settings are set to the same resolution as your computer monitor.

I think they wait to avoid the pitfall of announcing things too soon that WarZ is now known for. They probably want to tread lightly and avoid uniformed people raging when certain things aren't implemented.

Yes. It will still work without Steam I believe.

If it was a private hive, they could have always added it in customly. The Aks-74u Kobra is a common DayZ gun, although the UN version is not on the regular DayZ weapons drop list along with the ak sd mags. Then again, I don't really play Namalsk (I think thats the one with the nijita military base).

I always have mine on max because I haven't noticed a frame difference from the lowest to the highest.
