Private servers are full all the time. The population is really spread out too. Additionally, a lot of people are just waiting for the SA.

Now to just wait 5 years and save up a few thousand dollars to buy a computer that could run a game like that.

DayZCommander is quickly updated with new patches, features all the maps as easy one click downloads, has one click ArmaII Beta patches, shows all outdated versions, and has a ton more filter options than the other. As for private hives and whitelists, you will never see a hacker on whitelisted servers and I see very few on the private hives I play on. I've gone four months so far on my private hive and never seen a hacker. One came on once for about 5 minutes and then was instantly banned.

First of all, it shouldn't matter what launcher you are using. I personally love DayZCommander. It makes PlaywithSIX look like shit. Before you join servers you need to check if they are public or a private hive. Public servers will save your gear across all other public servers. Private hives will only save your gear on that singular server. Tents and cars will only be saved on a single public server although the gear on your person can transfer across different public servers.

You must just be joining the wrong servers... I play on a 300 vehicle server and I find at least 30 just from running around for an hour.

On my server with 300 vehicles I find them everywhere... no idea what your problem is.

Yup... everyone who advertises no hackers at all gets them.

You can turn the talking off... it's a simple option in the settings.

Zombies do not wander in completely random directions. They have a greater chance of walking towards a player than towards nothing.

Yeah, backpacks will disappear on a server restart, which is usually a couple times a day... so your pack will only last until then if you leave it on the ground.

^ This is so true. It took me a good two weeks of searching to just find a partner that I fit perfect with. Then, over the course of a month we formed an awesome group with a couple more duos. We actually just picked up a new guy a week ago that said he finally just quit DayZ for a while because of the lack of mature people who can have good teamwork while still having fun.

I personally think teaming up is awesome if you have the right people. My buddies guard my back and provide some good laughs when we are playing the hiking sim.
