Yes, but the download of the "Arma3 DayZ Mod" will not be on Steam. Arma3's engine was not customized with the same inventory system, item customization, nor disease system as the SA. The Mod will not be supported personally for optimization, glitches, and errors by Rocket and BIS. That would be all up to the modder that does it. -

The DayZ SA engine will be more customized for DayZ vs the Arma3 'DayZ' Mod will just be a mod. The Standalone will definitely be better, especially since it will be on Steam, supported fully by Rocket and BIS, and will retain the same awesome community. The Arma3 DayZ MOD will basically just be a copy of what we currently have. -

If you just bought it from Steam, I would contact them about it too, or just maybe mention it. If there is actually a problem with BattlEye for the Steam download of DayZ then there needs to be a resolution of some sort. They can't just sell a product that gives you a banned game. -

Maybe it's something with steam.... Before that, the only way you could get globally banned was for hacking or installing a program that stole your key. -

You can't just sprint around. You have to be stealthy. Not all buildings are enter-able either. You should familiarize yourself with the ones you can and cannot get in. If you attract zombie aggro (try to not do this in the first place), lose them by running through barns (since they can only walk in then), through dense forests, weaving them through buildings (so they lose LoS), and by hopping fences. Use DayZ DB to familiarize yourself with loot-able buildings. -

I think that if the game is hard enough to survive in (the Mod is too easy to survive) people will not KOS. I doubt players will want to risk losing all of their clothing items for firing a gun off. Since the zombies should now be able to run indoors I can see random people teaming up to hold off a zombie rush instead of killing each other. People only KOS because there reaches a point where there is nothing else interesting to do. If you make the game hard enough people will have to stand together in the Standalone.

So the zombies can smell you over their own stench? You get a little blood or dirt on you and they eat dead people, yet they can still smell you? That makes no sense.

Don't ask things in side chat... If you had watched the car for a while, you would have known, or if you had just jumped in it you might have gotten away. It's too easy to pick people off who give away locations in side chat.

Private servers are full all the time. The population is really spread out too. Additionally, a lot of people are just waiting for the SA. -
