Actually it took 4 to disable the tail with the .50 and 6 if you include misses. In that situation then yes firing just to scare them off would be the right thing to do, but standing on an airfield is not a common situation to be in. And you would only be able to hit those shots if he was hovering, making you easy prey for the gunners.
-
Yeah it is the next best thing but it's still not ideal, even a .50 can take multiple shots. Best thing to do would be to wait or re-position, unless there were a number of you hitting it or if you had an mg

Hitting the pilot is by far the most effective way, not the tail rotor as you said. Any half decent pilot can counter torque themselves without the assistance of the tail, all you need to do is pick up speed. And even with a shot engine an experienced pilot can use the stored collective to stop a crash. Killing the pilot is the way to go. Also, it's very rare to find a chopper in that state, more than one shot means that the pilot can react with evasive maneuvers (making those tricky tail and engine shots all the more difficult.)

I think it adds to realism, I often eat raw beans by mistake when I try to open doors, don't you?
-
I agree, not sure how difficult it would be though. What about pistol in one hand and flare in the other, or is that already possible?
-
Yes, yes it will.

Guns- Which ones do you prefer and why?
BSB Jimmy replied to JosephHabib's topic in General Discussion
I have fully kitted M4 atm but I like the Blaze, it was the first gun I killed with and imo is much better than the mosin (other than at extreme ranges) -
If everyone was like this the game would be boring as shit. It takes away the fun encounters of the game and turns it into a death match or a chicken hunt.
-
No it doesn't, you want a PvP deathmatch then go play Arma 3 or COD.
-
I like it, the bullets should degrade less easily IMO though.

Am I the only person not looking forward to private hives or modding?
BSB Jimmy replied to Lady Kyrah's topic in General Discussion
It has always been like that, I doubt they would change it. -

I agree with you mostly, in the end modding just splits the community. A lot of the mods make the game too easy or very PvP oriented. That being said private hives make sure that players respect the server they are on, what I mean by that is people may be more likely to not shoot if they meet a regular player on the same server. It creates the opportunity for people to play a role and be recognized as it, for example steve the hero could help someone on one server but if he is constantly changing servers he will not be recognized as friendly. So IMO private hives should be allowed with limited customization. -
I shot a guy in the leg and it killed him, it needed a nerf imo.

Obvious troll is obvious. Comic Sans gave it away.

Do you ever think before you post? This thread gains nothing from endless arguing. If your just posting to be a penis, then don't post at all. -

Well maybe not gunwise but certainly with melee weapons. I like that it is 1 shot (maybe not in legs) kill to an infected for realism but I do agree that ammo is too common. Although, if you shoot every infected you come across it's going to get you killed sooner or later. -

Zombies are way more difficult in the standalone and being tactical still has it's uses, oh and one more thing "ALPHER"
