You're boned, if your key is compromised they have NO pity or tolerance, I admin a server and had to use a "tool" to get myself un stuck from a building while testing the version update and they told me to go F myself. so you're 99pct surely out of luck. Frankly I'd be worried about installing another license on your machine as it may be a persistent key theft virus on your computer.

You might want to edit that again lol... Restart doesn't get rid of hacked items, you apparently have to upload a fresh copy of DayZ.pbo after backing yours up, log in play for a minute, then load your pbo back in. it wipes all the non stock landscape items from what I understand... Do a little searching the answer is on here somewhere, I had to use google search to find it though... If you can't find it I'll try to find it again tomorrow.

HD7700 will BLAST that game out of the box, it's just your video card killing it.... Run performance monitor in the background and see how your CPU is doing, but it should be fine, and I have 6gb of ram but it's NEVER EVER used more than 3-4 even when frapsing so I wouldn't sweat the ram... Get a 100 dollar video card that's a 7700 or better and you'll be totally fine, if you want arma 3 or to run the standalone better you might want to go a little higher on the video card... I run 5760/1920 eyefinity on a 2.5ghz dual core AMD with 6gb of ram and the HD7700 only advantage I have is SSD drive that helps, but my CPU is maxed out the WHOLE time I play.and I'm in max settings while running all three screens, pretty grass and all that...

So I have multiple keys/characters had the registry settings down to a science (you don't need to install twice if you know the hex code of your second key)... However once I've installed PMC and BAF everytime I switch the registry settings it breaks it. I have to reinstall both add ons and run the 1.62 update at which point the other key will work, but if I switch it back it will break again. It's giving me missing file errors which makes no sense to me as the registry backups obv. don't change any of that. I've checked launch orders, I've backed up both the whole Bohemia Interactive registry settings and just the OA settings and no matter how I do it when I switch it it breaks. Any input would be welcome, I'd hate to have bought those for nothing, but quick switching is way better than a couple hi res cars, skins, and guns. Thanks in advance.

I've had it working just fine on my desktop and laptop, for the laptop I never even did the install one then uninstall w.o deleting user info and reinstalling... I literally just swapped the hex code in the registry file and it worked fine. Switching was fine till I installed the mod packs, now it won't work, it still works fine on my laptop. I've even gone the step of making a registry backup when one key was fully working, then uninstalling it all w/o deleting getting the other key working and doing another registry backup while that one worked and it always gets the same series of errors.. On loading arma it says failed to load xx file (windows error pop up before arma even loads) after loading the lobby screen it says missing scope file and I get kicked, then back at the arma main menu it gives me a pmc file error... Checked the launch order and paths for both the working ones seperately and everything is the same, it SHOULD just be a hex key swap but it's not working... making me nuts... any input is welcome, I try to offer as much advice on any threads I think I can help out on.

Lots of servers can't/don't update immediately so when it's up for you as a player it might not have been run on the server yet. I've found Play with Six is the most reliable of the installers for the mods and it has TONS to choose from too... Sometimes the server settings can be messed up too so it's kicking people it shouldn't.

Sorry to clarify this is server side nothing you can do about it besides compile a list of servers that have fixed the problem.

It's an error caused by you having a different skin, a very common script.txt file has something that kicks for changed skins that are legit in the latest update, we had the same problem on our server till one of the admins removed the subject line of code, send an email to the admins of the servers... Try ours Cifor ny/nj you should be fine.

I use play with six and lately it's been F'ing everything up, I close it as it's loading up the server and starting the game before the game fully launches, I've had play with six crash in the background while in game and I was piloting a chopper, needless to say I was hunting for scrap and windshield glass for hours after that... totally awesome. Your problems sounds unique to mine though. What's your setup? should it be screaming fast or is it like mine and issues should be expected lol.

Yes you are missing something. the version number listed in text is the ARMA version NOT the BE version... the file linked to download there: "BE Client for Windows (32-bit) - MD5: 8163e237326f1815e641c1ebfecb6434" aIS version 1.8whatever, they just can't call the file by it's version name when it's downloaded otherwise the program won't reference it properly.... the linked download that will be called "BEClient.dll" in your download folder IS version 1.8x of BE client side program... Go download it and use it.

For a little more perspective, I bought a laptop with a dedicated video card thinking that would be fine, it chokes the CPU so bad the game is barely playable, I had to uninstall TONS of software and features before I even got 15fps, and it's a ATI HD6x intigrated card with 1.65Ghz Dual Core AMD and 4GB of ram... Same deal, graphics details are all handled pretty well by the video card but the CPU chokes HARD on the game in any resolution or settings... just too much info for the CPU to deal with even with the GPU piggybacking... There may be a setting somewhere to force GPU rendering or something that MIGHT increase your playability but I doubt it... this game needs a beefy CPU more than it needs a beefy video card or ram.

I don't get how you or the other guy could even start the game, I have: AMD 7550 dual core 2.5ghz 6.0Gb Ram SSD drives HD7770 Video card And I can only get 30fps no matter what the settings are, The problem really is this game KILLS CPU... I have an AMD Athlon 7550 2.5ghz dual core and it's maxed out 100pct of the time I'm playing... NEVER drops below 100% usage EVER. And my CPU is WAY better than yours... I've actually been toying with the idea of upgrading JUST my CPU as it's the only thing maxed out, you can get a 6 core 2.xghz AMD for like 100 bucks at this point with a fan from tiger direct. Graphics card never really even gets loud and hardly ever gets maxed out. I have 6gb of ram and I've never seen it using more than 3-4, 2 is DEF. not enough. You MIGHT be able to get away with JUST upgrading the ram. See the amount of objects and size of the map/draw distance (which is fixed) will kill your CPU no matter what the resolution and graphic settings, frankly you prob. won't have much worse FPS with the setting turned up a LOT higher... I get almost no difference if frame rate with EVERYTHING maxed out to the hilt and EVERYTHING turned down to the lowest... CPU just can't keep up with all the objects/distance. If you have any interest in the standalone though I have a feeling it will be a little MORE demanding as they're saying it's going to be based on arma 2.5 whatever that means lol.

invisibility can be the result of being teleported, try walking around for 5 minutes or even better getting in and then out of a vehicle or ladder. Also try reloading weapons or switching weapons... this usually makes it go away. Funny part is that you can end up invis ONLY to yourself, or even have other players be invisible to you... I played with a bunch of these programs when I started admin'ing to get a grip on how some of them work. wasted two keys doing it but KIND OF have an idea now... Would be great if DayZ and BE didn't suck so hard... it's literally like the game is set up FOR hackers not admins.... Hackers can spawn thunderdomes and vehicles and weapons and teleport, but I as an admin have almost ZERO power to rectify the attack or even identify who the hacker was with out using work around's. I love this game so much (I don't even care about the standalone, I'm TOTALLY happy with the mod) but admin'ing a server REALLY sucks the fun out of it... Hackers blow too but frankly I only care about them on my server since I got so frustrated I don't even play on other servers, not worth the risk of getting hacked... shit I barely play my own server when it's busy for the same fear... Love how DayZ fears admin abuse so much that they empower hackers.... guess what guess... corrupt admins with fixed IP address' for their servers are a LOT easier to get and keep banned than key thieving hackers... Admins should get more power than users... it's rediculous... Oh and no observer/spectator mode even for admins??? WTF. put in a 20 minute timer so you can't log in as a player after spectating, SOMETHING... BE demands evidence for bans but gives you ZERO tools to collect that evidence... I half think they'd ban an admin that sent them a Fraps vid of them teleporting to observe a hacker's actions 1st person. /rant for now

Lol, EVERYTHING IS GONE!!!! lol. Literally logged off at my camp (it was despicable how much crap we had) for 2-3 hrs come back and there's one vehicle left lol... Ural V3S Hatch Motorcycle 2 bikes Hilux All that was left was the UAZ lol. Three dead bodies at the site too which weirded me out. 2 on site one up the hill, it's WAY remote so I found it odd that any ONE much less 3 and either 1 or more others that killed them and took all my stuff... I kind of like the adventure of having to scour the map again looking for everything, although we literally JUST rebuilt that fleet over this last weekend. Anyway Just sharing.... Come play our server... Updated to 1.7.3 and checking logs and updating bans regularly. Still new at it so working out the bugs like lots of folks, but having a blast doing it. log into a server and walk away, it will take 30-45 minutes, it happened to me a couple months ago.... no fun but it does go away eventually.I was "lucky" because I had JUST gotten hacked on another server and lost all my kit so I wasn't worried about bleeding out or being killed by another player... If you're kitted out then you take a big risk but the timer will eventually go away...

Hello, Figured I'd start a thread, we ban like 5-20 people a day, I'm VERY cautious and will lift bans if your story sounds believable. HOWEVER please note that a LOT of the bans are placed while I'm actively playing so I can see what's going on in game to some degree and check the logs to try to back up peoples stories. The logs and BE in general REALLY suck so it's hard for me to know 100pct of the time what's what... But I try my best and will listen to sob stories unlike BE... I've lifted a couple of bans that were appealed by email which for the record is: [email protected] Come play our server. We try as hard as we can to keep it safe. If you're looking to mess around with scripts and hacks though be prepared to have logs and any evidence forwarded to BE and the community ban list. Beg away! lol.

I am away for Thanksgiving, the other guy who mod's put the password on it, I think we got hacked pretty bad and he didn't know how to handle it. I'll try to get things straightened out by tomorrow afternoon.... Our monthly wipe is in a few days anyway so anything not on your character (or in a tent) will be lost anyway.

I've read to look out for 1.000000's in your setdamage logs.. especially lots. also have LOTS of players that seem to be spamming with 0.000000's. It's very frustrating spending the amount of time, money, and effort I put into trying to do this and the utter vortex of information there is... Everything I read says, do this or if it has this then it's that... but they constantly contradict themselves and the evidence I'm presented with first hand... I spam the damage log... ALL THE TIME, and I've certainly never hacked or cheated. I'm getting so frustrated with trying to run a server at my cost for public use that promotes Arma II, DayZ, Battleye, all the while I'm paying for all of those things and getting no direct advice on how to prevent abuse. I'm pretty sure I'm banning innocent people, and just as sure if not more so that I'm COMPLETELY missing real hackers a LOT of the time...

Seriously Zero replies? I send logs with questions to battleye and they tell me to ask here, I ask here and get no replies... Wow awesome community.

It should be the path I put above... FTP://IPAddress/Server Parent Folder/DayZ/cfgdayz/Battleye That's where mine is... your FTP client should also have a search feature so you can just search for that file name. If it's not there you just make one. Open notepad or whatever and type the 2 entries and save it as "beserver.cfg" in the above folder. Good luck.

FTP into your server, go into: Dayz/cfgdayz/battleye and edit the "beserver.cfg" file it only has 2 entries and values as below: +++ RConPassword PASSWORD maxping MAXPINGNUMBER +++ I have my max ping set to 400, it's a little high but I don't want the server kicking people TOO much. That is all. I had all sorts of issues with that too, I had the password set in my "server.cfg" file but NOT in the BE directory as above, this allowed me to log in as admin IN GAME by typing in group chat channel "#login PASSWORD" but NOT through BERCon. I'm not an expert so if someone contradicts me with confidence they're likely right, but that's how I have it setup and it works great. Good Luck.
