Thank you Smasht.....I did know that, but it's great information because it is not often apparent that you will need a ''New'' character , when you play another server. I have defected from Battlefield where it was all shiny and easy to load games. This game reminds me more of Stalker, more dirty and gritty.....often with the odd bug or two....l.o.l.

Thank you so much Klesh, what I done was play a few hours, the server restarted, I did not log off back to the spawn screen, so I lost all my Beans. So that is why the ''Save'' and ''Respawn'' are ''greyed'' out in the menu then. I am using''SIX'' but I'll swap to commander now chap......Thanks again Klesh...here's my Beans......mmmmmmmm....Beans on toast.

I have the same problem, save and respawn are 'greyed' out so the 4 servers I have tried all lost my games...any answers or am I going to have to post a new post.....? I cannot play if I cannot save the annoying game....??

Yes it was the same with me and around 30 people at 3 pm today TearGas, so there must be a ****load by now. Allegedly it is ''Steam's'' fault for not buying enough keys and running out of them at the weekend. Allegedly they have done it before, but allegedly they did buy 100000 keys recently and they have all sold out, so this is a Steam purchasing problem, because like you TearGas, they have had my money of me for both, but like you too, only 1 key was received, so this was the result for many of us this weekend trying to play DayZ apparently. Yes I sent off a troubleshooting note to Steam, but nothing yet too. Annoying...yet funny too..well to me anyway, that they would run out of keys but still sell you the game and expansion pack without a full set of keys to it. Oh Well.....back to boot-camp and more practice on the range.

Just watched the footage too Fraggle....fabulous....nice to see the first DayZ Grand Prix....looking forward to participating when I have found my sea/land legs in the game soon. An Instant Bag Of Death for that Quad run down that mountain though...l.o.l.

Sounds great chaps, I'm sold.....Steam sale tomorrow for Arma 2...I mean today, then I'll join Fogeyz, Sounds right up my alley, I have been reading a lot on the forum for the last couple of weeks before I decided to devote my ''Battlefield/Borderlands/Fallout Time'' to a worthy cause. To be honest, the buggyness is part of the fun of any Alpha game, so roll on the Standalone. As a large social experiment I thought the Game may turn into a large ''Spy Vs Spy'' deathmatch when i read about it last month, but with the wasteland medics, a large degree of mature players looking for more depth to this large sandpit we have been given, I think this Mod/Game has the potential to be an all time great. I have read a lot of stories on this forum, some are absolutely hilarious, I mean side-splitting, some are tragic, but I don't think i have ever read so many diverse opinions come from a game...maybe the first 3D Grand Theft Auto because of the controversy over violence it was said to promote, but I have been here since before the ZX80 and I have never killed anyone in real life....on the computer...thousands..probably hundreds of thousands. So here I am jumping on the Zed bandwagon....I wonder how big it can really become.......because the potential of this Zed sandpit is, well....limitless..! See you all in the real world...Er...I mean the Virtual world.
