    we are not getting the feedback we need to continue with the base systems so for us its simpler to remove for now.

    @sliverblade that is the idea anyway. @romanz. Again humanity is somthing that will change all the time to get how we wont the system to work. Its a slow going process while we work on new systems to find ways around arma limits. Auto health is based on player condition ie food/water/status. Weapons under the new loot system we could add 500 new weapons it don't mean your going to see an increase in weapons spawning just the verity of them. Alot of the new.ones you see being added now are to balance out some of the old ones and in some cases getting ready to remove others all together to help fit the theme more. Base building was an experiment to see how the days community would handle it. Witch has since been removed for the next patch. As for updates nonsence if ppl wont somthing they will find a way no matter what we do. Ps thanks for feedback. Our long term plan is to offer both classic/vanilla and hardcore gameplay with the same updated codebase your admins will just need to select the preset.

    For me i don't mind if you play 1.7 or 1.8 they are both are community editions. :D Your biggest issue seems to be the nutrition system in 1.8 something you can disable as a server admin (dayz_nutritionValuesSystem = false; //Enables nutrition system) Debug menu can be added as an admin, 3 sec job if you include the time it takes to type it in google. Humanity - has had a good few changes not saying its going to be easy but still its changed and will continue to change. Bloodbags - Really isn't a big issue and maybe at some point we can enable/disable them like we do with nutrition now we have a preset system in place. (something we will do at some stage) Outside of them 2(bloodbags & humanity) issues the only other one you bring up is the 50cals two weapons the community agreed needed to be removed due to the OP of each one. I must admit i do get a chuckle out of these post's over the years. :P

    If you explain a little more what you find better in 1.7 over what you find in 1.8 it might help us all. Alot of the changes have been made based on feedback by players from reddit/dayz forums/github and talking with players.

    The issue is my system at home has had a full rebuild and the p drive has been lost until i can find the time to baby sit the hole p drive build again i'm unable to build anything. I'f i get time this weekend (if i'm not called into work) ill hook my old hdd up and retrieve the server details and build the p drive on that.

    Is DayZ mod still being updated?

    Our small team all work in real live so we get very little time to work on the mod hence the reason the updates have slowed down.
  12. With the new sponsor ship we have been given from fragnet we have the chance to bring back a new hive with one rule set across all official servers. How would you feel about this?

    Fog was reset back to the old versions. Food, Water values and timings have been adjusted see the 1.8.7 changelog.

    Crates are used as part of the upgrade system in objects like tents and stashes to upgrade the storage of the selected object.

    Just a quick update We are still working on the mod but due to real live its pretty slow going but here is a few little items we are working on.. We are working on a new loot system, Tripwire traps should now be working, two new crash sites, plants so you should now be able to fire through plants(this is still being tested). New Server side hive, New admin log reader, re-balance of the food/water systems, re-balance of the temperature system at night. Just to list one or two items but keep your eye on the change-log post for full list of changes. cheers

    Windows 10 Upgrade?

I upgrade yesterday without any real issue i've found one or two programs i've had to reinstall but nothing major yet.

[New] - dayz_nutritionValuesSystem, Variable to disable the current nutrition system in vanilla (part of the preset system). Added as part of the Custom,Classic presets. [updated] - Cooked meat nutrition values updated by 300 points, Raw food updated to be half of the cooked values. [updated] - Tinned foods by 300 points of nutrition. [updated] - Slowed down Water & Food consumption, (Food is consumed faster then water) Updated the nutrition values to make it less of an eating simulator. [updated] - Ai seek and Movement systems Hopefully improved movement updates for the AI [Fixed] - BE kick for m4a1 pickup from POIS Removed hidden items in the POIS

    its a report we have already. We have no fix for it yet as we haven't really got much info about the issue. When placing a tent we have no systems that adds items to tents nor do we have any callextension that allows the db to read from during an object placement. So we have no idea where the items are coming from. This issue is on the list of items to look at
