As we start moving over the crafting stuff i will do

Every change will cause this to happen. Not much we can do about it. We bring in crafting ppl will leave because they cant gear up in secs. We bring in base building but ppl will leave because of the limits we have to add to stop abuse. We make zeds harder ppl leave. We bring in anything new and it will cause issues from some players. The fact we can not win no matter what we do. So its time to move back to the original ideas for dayz and work towards the future. We cant keep trying to cater for everyone it just does not work.

It is a fine line balance on everything we have to do at this point. For example. Will moving the viral infected into the home locations balance out the infection without needing to change anything. Will changing the spawn rates of antis change the point of infection. As we can not control how much of it spawns its random to a degree. Will editing the base line infection rate from .25 to .45 have a big impact on how the infection works. Will increasing the cure chance from tents change the point of needing antis will players just carry around tents will it force players to place more tents making over issues How many of those small changes will push the balance from 50/50 to 60/40. We are talking about very small changes now to get the balance correct. But keep the survival aspect intact Infection isn't an issue How players evolve around the infection is the key and the biggest issue is how many don't wont to. You can survive on food without curing the infection it just takes a little more time. Players that wish to play the game will evolve. Knowing the map how everything spawns where you can get food fast all helps and speeds the process of hunting up.

But then who's aspect do we take on "Considering Antibiotics are very rare" read the forums we have many ppl saying they find antis easy and most of the testers have also said they find stuff very easy. So what view do we take into account. You base it on your own experience. We are trying to get a more broad view from the community hence the reason we haven't mentioned anything about changing this yet. The feedback we are getting is so mixed look around you will see the same. The main item we know is infection is .2 out on the base calculation. 1.25 to 1.45

the current spawn mech is the one you just outlined ? They will only attack if your agro then with sight or sound.

There's an issue with bounding box's and zeds wont always attack choppers. They attack a little better in cars and bike's but choppers are very hit and miss. Too be fair we haven't had time to investigate this issue much just now but we know its one of the reasons Dean never had zeds attacking vehicles.

Zeds are hard to deal with. However the balance between infection/bleeding/and hit power needs a little more work.

Zeds will die from one shot to the head. Infection is a little broke we are waiting to release a new patch. <<< This has been said a few hundred times now your all arguing over well your own opinion. However the game isn't unplayable you just need to take more care and change how you move around. for example the amount of players on a server can change the way the game is the amount of players within big city's will change the way the game plays out. By default all clients will only spawn 30 zeds each. So if you put two clients together in a cherno each player spawn's 30 zeds that's 60 total zeds Now add another player so we hit the global limit of 80 models. Don't go to towns unless you have too head to small areas as a new spawn you need a knife and weapon that is it with these you can survive for well a long time even with an infection. Knowing the map will help you more then being able to run into cherno or eletro.

ok so most may have seen the fort and are wondering why the ui is showing a different weapon. Its pretty simple the original image has another concept added and the the ui has been dropped on top. We wont be providing any info about the fort for now. -
This is a load of crap stop doing what ever your doing and do something new. Your playing like you did in .6 it will only give you a one way ticket back to the beach.

Whats stopping you from running around no one do anything you like. Just to point out we made the game easy with .6 slower zeds, lower attack dmg, Lots of loot, Deans original is the same as .7 without the infection/knockdown stuff. In fact Dean's original version was a lot more harsh zeds had no limits they get within 3 meters you get hit no matter what the zed was doing everything was random so your hit and a random body part is picked to be dmged this includes being knocked out. The only item that's new is the push down effect and infection we limit zeds in other areas with new check systems to make sure the zed is attacking in los and angle of attack and hit curtain parts of the body based on where the zed is IE higher then player head shot, lower the player leg shot. Anyone that's been here from the start will know all this and when they say they wont zeds back to how they was in the old dayz this is what they mean. The community devs handed everything to the players in .6 to a curtain degree.
