This is the rolling Development changelog for 1.8.1 Changes: * [NEW] - Mechanic - Nutrition system for all food types. * [NEW] - Mechanic - Hunger and Thirst is now based on the new nutrition system. * [NEW] - Mechanic - Salvage Parts from Vehicles (Players with a toolbox can now remove undamaged parts from vehicles in world) * [NEW] - Infectious Water Holes - Random water holes on the map are infected drinking from them will give you an instant infection. Identified by dead body's around water holes. (Model is wrong size) Self bloodbag system to be added. (blood must be drawn from player before hand see 1). New crafting recipes to be added.(On hold for a rethink of the system) New plant systems to be added. (delayed for new recipes to be added) Nutrition systems needs calories updating for every food item. Melee weapon fire to be updated from a single shot to a small burst. (see how it plays and looks). Make loot bias changeable option within the mission file for private server admins. (Done) Load journal with all config options for easy player view of server settings. (Spawnselection). (Started) Base Building Stage 1. Nutrition/Medical Stage 1. Crafting tidy up from being all thumbs. This should be all the changes made after we closed everything due to lack of info.

    DayZ Mod 1.8.0.3 Hotfix.

    So i have some good news. As many of you know i spoke with Hicks last week about getting the green light sorted for 1.8.1. basically we have a green light on the dev change log the bad news with the amount of time passed between now and the last update pretty much everything on our side was closed. It's going to take me a few dayz to bring everything back up. Now for future release's we have been asked to just ping Hicks the change log before we release just for license issues. But we pretty much have free rain to do what we need when we need. Hicks is also looking into removing some of the locked systems we have always had to deal with (Hive content locked, only edit 4 pbo's) so news on that will come later. Most of the original team helping me have moved onto other mods/games so i'll be on the hunt for new dev members during the next few weeks. It's going to be a little slow to start with while i try to build a team back up. Thanks.

    While we wait on more info from Hicks (he was away when i last spoke with him) you may as well give some of the other mods of dayz a try epoch is one of the more popular ones or you can try some of the smaller ones like mustyz found in my signature.

    Ill more then likely add it into the MustyZ mod at some stage. As for the DayZ mod most of the team has moved onto other projects. With everyone waiting 4 months you can understand why. Hicks has offered to look into getting versions released so im working with him just now to see what we can get sorted. But i cant promise anything just yet.

  15. The mod will never die there will always be mods of the mod they have always had much more freedom.
  16. 1: the issue was SA being released at the time nothing more. 2: That has always been down to me nothing new. 3: I don't work on anything to do with SA. I am not part of the SA dev team never have been never will be. 4: Its the last from us. ? this however is a question mark with recent info coming to light about Dean. DayZ is more then just here the mods of dayz will keep going for along time to come.     Its in development until we get word we can do a release. If you cant wait i would suggest moving onto some of the other mods of dayz they have much more freedom then we do.
  19. There's no clam about it its public info all patch's must be submitted and accepted by Dean. We asked at xmas the answer was no. There is no reason for anyone to lie about it. The mod has a hole load of license issues we can not just release. Pretty much everyone has moved onto other projects from the dev team. Once we get word we can do a release you will know the same day. 1.8.1 is planed to be the last version. Until that day its under development.
