    Ok so when we get the development branch on steam this is how you change to it in Steam Right click properties on dayzMod. Goto tab betas. Swap the drop down to development. Wait for game to update Load and play the beta Report issues too https://github.com/DayZMod/DayZ/issues Make sure to highlight the version your running within the issue this can always be found in the bottom right side of the menu screen.When joining a server make sure you look out for the development servers.

    ? What are you talking about epoch does use the base mod they modify a few items here and there but the base is DayZ they just don't like our gear menu so they don't use it.

    The action menu system has been redone for 1.8.3 lets hope it works better. When you stop getting loot and zeds spawning take a look in your log file or run -showScriptErrors on the command line to display a black box ingame if a script goes wrong. Server FPS is a pain but in short there isn't a whole lot we can do with it. restart the server more oftern, Lower amount of clients connecting, upgrade your CPU 3.4mhz

    Transferring blood is transferring blood so yes its is working as we wanted. This being said the system needs some love we need the system to be much faster to transfer to players to make it more useful but trying to find a way to handle the realism + meta play styles isn't always as easy. Eating will be adjusted for a while.

    Not really without messing about anyway. We had some ideas some time ago to give the server admins much more control over everything but it was denied when we asked about the changes. Adding a dev branch on steam was also denied back then as well. So might ask the question again now especially now the hive is down also Changelog sent to hicks waiting on response for dev release(on steam).

    [New] character will switch back to primary weapon if the throwable weapon is selected during 7 seconds and nothing has been throwed. [Fixed] loot spawn: all old loot piles are removed and buildings are always freshly restuffed. Fix loot timer (all players are properly synchronized to the server now) [Fixed] Players can chop some of the trees at the POIs [updated] banned unused ArmA2 weaponholders and reammoboxes, banned unused ammo, banned some unused character models [Fixed] Drink menu is available at all water points and at most of the pond banks. [Fixed] hundreds of messages are localized [Fixed] Resting does not show the "up" arrow near the blood icon anymore. Eating cans/snack gives blood. Digestion is faster.     So some good news we now have permission to push dev branches direct to steam. We still have some red tape but hopefully this should allow the guys to get stuff tested faster. As for a release date for 1.8.3 i really don't know we will do what we can.

    Bloodtype should be assigned to playerIDs rather than change each time you spawn in. If blood type is changing each time you login we need to look into it as blood types should only change on death. Zombies hit range needs to be changed, as a new spawn you are bombarded with zombies which is a-okay, but it seems they have Mister Fantastic arms. If we lower there hit range any more we may as well remove the zeds as they would not be able to hit a player. Eating and drinking system was new on the last version its still being tweaked it will take a some time to get it working fully.

    Unfortunately we don't have 8 hours a day to work on the mod. I've been told the guys testing would like to see a few more items polished before we release when that gets done we will go about the normal process to do a release. We will start the process as soon as we can.

    Yea that is known and fixed. But beware drink it all and well you may pass out or get infected who knows crazy old world.

    Nothing will be 100% safe but we need to find that balance so there's a reason to build. Backpacks i would say this gives more reason to use storage systems ie tents at base and stash's up front.

    We did once but quickly forgot about it again due to a few reasons. (We did try with the same system other mods use and found tons of reasons not to keep it) Maybe someday we will look into our own system.
