    We don't release client files in this way anymore. Your best to use steam to download them then execute with a bat file or something if you really don't wont to use steam.
  2. With the mod you also have different variations the big one for many is epoch and overpoch but there is a good amount of others to dig into. Each variation has its own feel find whats best for you.

    yea we cant have them attached to the magazine counters to many arma issues for that.     Ok i see the issue originally we did the check based on the item your right click on in 1.8.2 but in 1.8.3 this has been updated to pick the first box of matches it finds in the players item list :-(. It looks like this was changed so you used some kind of tool to light barrels :-(. This would be the reason you having issues with disappearing matches. Would also explain why no reports of this happening has come in for knife's. but i guess if someone did mess up it would still disappear So what i might do is move matches to magazines in place of the items slots. This will save on adding more code to a system that really don't need it

  7. Your missing content from Epoch you need to contact the Epoch forums for info on how to install. DayzMod and Epoch are two very different mods for arma2. We pretty much only handle dayzMod stuff. You could also be trying to load the epoch mod to play dayz in the main menu in game goto expansions and disable epoch.
  8. No idea where you read this info but DayzMod is working fine. Install arma2, Launch arma2 < using steam Install arma2OA, Launch Arma2OA < using steam Install dayzMod, Launch Dayzmod. < using steam Really is nothing more to it this is for DayzMod for other mods you will not too seek advice from the mod creators. On there own forums would be the best bet.

    Tents i can look into see if we can find a good way to do something about them. As for castles and deerstands they both spawn a good amount of items. Deerstands, 5 weapons spawn Castles, No weapons might need a bit of a balance fix. Both tables also include {"","Residential",0.60}, < castle{"","ammo",0.10}, <caslte{"","Trash",0.30}, <deerstands, caslte{"","generic",0.20} <deerstands, castle All 4 of these tables include a ton of useful items. I've linked them all so you can see all the items in the code.
  15. Installing Epoch is a hole lot different then installing dayzmod might be an idea to ask on the epoch forums. They will be able to better advise you.

    It's got nothing to do with that at all. We use steam and only support steam other mods use different routes as steam isn't available to them. This is the dayz forums not epoch forums if ppl need support on epoch its better they ask on the epoch forums not here. You don't expect ppl with Samsung phones to be going to the iTunes site for help with goggle or microsoft fans going to linux forums for help. They will know best how to install there own mod, we know how to install this mod. As for all this nonsense about taking players from my point of view they use the dayz base to build epoch last i looked so for me that's always a plus. The players will play where they wish to play again from the devs point of view both sides use code from both mods so all players benefit. Does anything else matter to developers.

    A few new issues brought forward 1. Players getting run over by cars don't take damage. 2. Some players get stuck in a unconscious state, sitting for example and cant get out of it. This can happen after blood transfusion or knock out. I think it involves someone trying to move them as well hence the sitting. We use your DayZ Admin tool to try to heal or/and teleport them out of it. Epi Pen doesn't help either. 3. Switching weapons without side arms, lying down in a building (ATC for example), will make the character stand up. 4. Logging out in water kills your gear. (oldie but goldie) 5. Players falling out of choppers IF they switch from backseat to gunner or vice versa, This "bug" seems intermittent, not always occuring Switching between gunner seats works. 6. Loot spawning inconsistently, sometimes another player needs to enter the area for loot to spawn even though 10 mins have passed. 7. Available slots not always showing in tents and stashes. This seems to be related to how you sit/stand when checking the object. 8. Hero skin is gone after a hero dies and respawns. He is stuck with survivor skin unless we fix it in the database. 9. Choppers not giving the option to repair them even though they are broken. This can sometimes be fixed by itself after a restart. 10. Sometimes dead players (their corpse) dissapear after being killed and the killer thinks the dead player combat logged. 11. Loot in boat houses either spawn under water or in the air above the planks so to speak, if high tide you cant get to the loot under water. 12: Hitting a fireplace with a melee will make it explode. 13: Logging out on top of a building puts you stuck on the first floor. It requires admin intervention.

    What do you guys think of Vanilla Dayz?

    We know there's an issue between risk and reward, the zeds have been changing pretty much ever patch we release to try and balance them. Ask anyone following the mod to verify we don't have the permission to release patches as we would like to everything has to go though a process before any release can be done. The ai will always have issue no matter what we do the damage output should always be a threat to players getting the exact balance isnt as easy to do. But i can guarantee no matter what we do these posts will always popup and the AI will be the heart of them all.

    Thermal scopes wont be returning to the mod sorry we have many reasons for this but the easiest one to explain they serve no purpose in dayz.

    What mod are you trying? Did you load arma and arma oa frist after reinstall? What server are you trying to join? How are you launching the game?

    I'm still not happy with the blood bag system so you will probably see one set of the blood bags removed in favor of just using one type bags that does both self and transfusions. It's a little two much now with two different types of bags. We know the idea works from the prototyping so ill get this redone now to make it a little more simple. AI Damage is going to be reduced some to make risk vs reward a little better at the moment the risk is way to high. Loot system needs a redesign the current system is still pretty shit. (if you have any thoughts on that shout). Blocking and evade is going to be worked on a little more to add a bit more detail to it. AI sight and sound im not sure needs changing - Weapon fire non SD seems to be ok you can fire and more without having the AI target you. - SD weapons muffle the sound to about half of normal weapon fire and follow the same fire and move system as normal weapons. - Sneak seems ok they cant hear you unless within a few meters (just inside player melee attack range) - Sight might sill be a little too high, but not sure we can do much without making them useless on sight.
