Unsure on that one there's nothing in 1.8.4 that would create such and fps drop on the client. But ill look into the issue see if i can recreate

Consumption rate is based on the player speed if you using a vehicle your consumption rate is less(or should be). I can see if we can lower it a little but but the current system is based on the size of the map and how long it takes to travel the map (30Mins) it isn't meant to be a real live system its scaled down to match the map and for gameplay. But ill see what i can do to reduce it a little. Make an issue about it on github ill take a look when im free again.

[updated] - MatchBox system reset back to 1.8.2. Matchbox's with no qty values can now be found in loot tables, During the use of match's you have a 12% chance of lowing the remaining qty to 5 matches left. Foreach use after you will lose 1 match from the box until empty.

Height is a factor of temperature so is wind.

I know a few other mods have added this but im afraid it wont be anything we will see in the vanilla dayzmod due to the back story of the survivors as others have already explained.

[updated] - Player temperature - Changed sun to +3, Changed rain to -2.5, changed Moving to +2.1. (added in vehicle check to water) Moving factor changed from +1.9 to +2.1 Sun factor changed from +2 to +3 Rain factor changed from -3 to -2.5 Added new in vehicle check for Water. (so in boats and flying over water will not add the - effect)

Yea the temperature system was a gamble its been broken for so long now i was thinking of just removing it all together still am to be fair. But thought id give everyone a chance to see how the game would play out with it in. i'll let you guys decide the fate of it.

Please Note. When setting dayz_temperature_override = false; the journal will show disabled dayz_temperature_override = true; the journal will show enabled this is a mistake it should read the other way around i was in a rush to get the hotfix out before the guys left the office it was my fault sorry guys.

Tinned food is pretty much cooked before being added to a tin your just warming it up (there's no chance of infection from tinned food) and we have no way to see if a tinned object has been warm for too long to set it cold again. But with meat you can still eat cooked meat cold so we really don't have to do much to keep immersion to some degree. This is also one of the reasons we still haven't added stuff like brew's (hot drinks) we just dont have any way we can see if the food item is hot or cold. combining food items is the way to go for giving more nutrition its one of the reasons the plastic tub was added we just haven't got around to using it.

I've asked Eugen to clean up the steam system so when you right click you will no longer see a play with beta. Also under the beta tabs all you should find is the legacy versions of dayzMod and maybe a development version. Not sure when this will happen but hopefully soon

Fingers crossed the temp issue is reduced fixed. At least server admins can turn it off for now if there still getting issues :-). Time for some sleep

100 / 6(wind) is going to be 16 minutes to get cold without any other effects. I think its a little too short. //Positive effects_vehicle_factor = 2;_fire_factor = 15; _moving_factor = 1.9;_building_factor = 1.5;_sun_factor = 2; //Negative effects_water_factor = 8;_stand_factor = 2;_rain_factor = 3;_night_factor = 1.5;_wind_factor = 2; all should be 100 / number = now long from min to max or max to min depending what your working out. The negative values you have are 100% messed up so ignore what they say. Think of what you would do in RL to some degree rain = cold Wind = cold Fire = hot Running = hot Sun = hot Night = cold Vehicle = positive effects, no negative Now balance them to work :-) really not alot more to them :-) Ps ill be enabling an override so server admins can disable for now if they point blank dont wont to try and help correct.
