    No. They're in the process of/have completed (not sure) redoing the animations. They'll be mo-capped again. I quoted this info earlier on the other dev blog thread but I can't be bothered to do it again.

    That is the case... He talked about it in Shannon's stream iirc. Having said that I recently watched a Frankiein1080P info vid that he did about the SA and noted that it'd be possible to wipe out all the zombies (as they don't respawn). He must have got his wires crossed somewhere but I don't think such a popular figure should be spreading mis-information!

    Q: Will spawn points work similarly to the mod on the coast or will they be random throughout the entire map? A: I just realised I haven't even looked at that yet. Any total DayZ hipsters from back when there was only one server will remember everyone used to spawn at the petrol station West of Cherno at the start and we are kind of back to that point now as it was the first building I configured with the new item spawning system so I've configured the spawn for that location while we are testing. We will have to look at it and test some things, I think definitely one of the advantages of coastal spawns was it gave a reputation to the inland towns and I think more then ever with the new areas we want to maintain that so coastal spawns will probably remain a good idea.

    It's all about the water.. With the new water mechanics that have been touted we need more water sources and what better than stagnant swaps that have to be boiled?

    I'd like to believe there's actually a functionality behind the swamps rather than just being an aesthetic feature; that of water (stagnant in this case). It would make sense that they're fairly spread in that case.

    He mentioned in Shannon's stream that there's a tail-off for objects rendered at a certain distance, thus creating a fade effect as opposed to the object just completely disappearing at a designated distance. View distances will have different settings for objects and players afaik.
  18. My interpretation is that you won't be able to fire in 3rd person (from the hip) without looking down the sights. I would have no problem with this.

    It does really.. Look at the Crysis franchise. Completely destroyed after Crytek decided to cash in and develop for consoles. The first game was a masterpiece.
