Anyone here who has played "The Walking Dead" ? You can kill two kids in this game and for the 2. kid you even have the choice how to do it...using a gun or ...well... silent and saving your ammo... a highly rated game that even got awards for being the best RPG in 2012.... DayZ is about the apocalypse about feeling scared, feeling guilty, feeling depressed, being sick, hungry, thirsty...always on the run..about doing things you always thought you never would do..about making decisions..and about trying to remain humane....DayZ is not about funny squad shootouts or stupid kill on sight on a sunny afternoon.... infected kids defenetely belong to this scenario..... as always this should not be overdone...there should not be infected kids all over the place and like joe_mcentire said it would be also scary and immersive to just find some toys on a playground for example.... .

First of all we need more spawn points along the coast especially between Ryfi and Cap Krutoy...the parachuting spawn is a good idea if not overused...a rare chance to spawn above some remote areas would do it.....plus spawn points deep in the forests (this should include some of the smaller roads) ...all in all this would add probably more than 100 possible spawns points all over the map... we would need to find a new strategy for every spawn point and orientation would be in some case even more difficult than on the beach ... Edit...of course spwaning in some nice locations like hospitals, evac camps, churches or hotels would be awesome....( also with a very rare chance)

honestly one of the best ideas I have seen here on the forums so far... :beans: :beans: We will play this game for a long time and will of course die and respawn a lot. Making this as interesting and diversified as possible seems to be a point that should really get more attention.

a large prison maybe an old Soviet Gulag ...could be on an island...that would be amazing...a coal mine ..schools and play schools...pharmacies....post offices....some large enterable ships in the harbours....

there are some really big differences between the classical Zombies which are all based on Georg A. Romero's work and the so called "infected" used in "28 days later" ...our beloved zeds are no classical zombies but I am sure that in case of such a virus outbreak a lot of people would call it a zombie apocalypse...

I think Rocket mentioned that they have something special in mind for the maps ..maybe it will be possible to place waypoints and other stuff on your personal map or the map of your team mates.... Edit: Q: What about map markers. You've talked about leaving letters or notes, what about maps? A: We have some ideas for maps but I am a little reserved about talking about them because I don't think anyone has every really done what we're considering doing and I wouldn't want another game to pick it up. So that one is going to have to be a surprise.

I also would love to get some hot coffee and cookies at the beach....hmmm we also could arrange a bus shuttle service and later on we will have a nice barbecue before we go to have some nice squad shoot outs... I love the end of the world
