yap this is what I think too...like the ammo and medical supplies boxes we already have ingame. I would also like to see fridges, ovens, cupboards, desks and waste bins to work this way. Mixed with all this handplaced stuff on shelves, under tables etc like seen in the video :) would be awesome. @ chabowski..yap I forget to mention the tents...they work the same way.. ...another examample would be suitcases and bags... -
I just imagine meeting you and Mr. Planck on your way to the Elekto Red Light District looking for some sparkling wine :P ...in this case the big western map has to be Amsterdam...

In Fallout or the Elder Scrolls games (same engine) you can not really open chests, boxes,or cupboards and take stuff out, you activate a so called "container" which opens a pop up menue and an attached loot table. In this games this is mixed with handplaced loot that you can find in the gameworld ( on tables etc etc). It is nothing more than a script that can be used for any kind of static object like furnitures, dead bodies, vehicles, barrels blablabla.... Good thing, the player can also put stuff in such a container. Also locks and keys can be attached. For example if our DayZ fridge would be used as such a container, all fridges placed in Chernarus would use the same loot table .This could include the chance of finding nothing, all kind of rotten stuff but also a can of pepsi etc...could also be used for cupboards, trash bins etc. Would the same system work for DayZ or would it be an immersion breaker ?? thoughts ? -

ok here we go... An old insane asylum built at the end of the 19th century on Skalista Island :) In the past it was also used as a hospital for wounded soldiers during ww1 and ww2 and as a craddle short after ww2. During the late Stalin aera it probably became part of the "Gulag" system and maybe some really sick stuff happened there...did somebody said experiments ?? I imagine a large complex with a lot of buildings surrounded by an old park flooded with infected inmates and nurses ... inspired by :

Q: Are we going to see cannibalism implemented, like we see with DayZ 2017? A: Yes, I do. I think I really want to see some of ideas taken from SS13, we actually run a server called 'RocketStation' so everyone is welcome to join us on there as a lot of ideas are taken from there, they actually make burgers out of people in that and it's free. Maybe we should hire some of those people because we are actually looking for a junior designer right now.

A former Soviet prison camp on Utes, an old insane asylum on Skalista, an orthodox abbey ( could be on some small island too), oil platforms, a cargo ship, the football ( soccer) stadium of Dynamo Elektozavodsk or Spartak Zelenogorsk. coal mines... Would be cool if a few places could be cleaned and used as bases. ......... ( this dots are on the house ;) ) -

for the people discussing the swamp... this area has been a boring piece of grassland untill now... it is a swamp you would find for example on the krim...don't expect every area to be made for combat...stealth or any other action...it will be us ..the players... who will write the stories... -

no.......not really much progress...the lighting is still too dark and I fear we will not see this game being released in December 2012 as promised....I will go and play warz instead :lol: -

this has been discussed and suggested before :) radios have been confirmed more or less, also somekind of side channel for contacting the adminsand stuff...Rocket also has added the whisper channel to his list of ideas for the chat revise.... Edit : I really hope for some teamspeak free servers
