PLEASE DON'T STOPP CREATING THIS AMAZING STUFF :thumbsup: also maybe you will find this interesting ( a russian online foodstore ) http://ruswaren.de/i...php?cPath=34_36 I really would like to see the new brands written in cyrillic (at least for the russian maps) and then mixed with real russian stuff ( see link :) ). Probably we can add some rare easteregg hooves and stuff later on ;). If not ( because of some humorless p....s) I will for sure use them on the map I am working on... cheers and thx for your hard work :beans:

afaik DayZ stands for Day zero and means the last day of the world or the first day of a new world or order...in our case the day when our modern world finally collapsed...

297 baby seals later....still can not understand that people really believe that they could find Mountain Dew and Frank and Beans in a small foodstore in some small russian country somewhere at the caspian sea and a ww2 riffle like the Lee Endfield in every second building ( truely realistic and immersive) but do not have the humor to accept some Derpy muffins just for a smile...

we should write short and simple sentences only and avoid sarcasm....maybe its just me but I have the feeling an undead army of brainless, simpleminded, humorless casual gamers has just arrived in front of our gates...

It is really sad to see more and more simple minded and humorless people here on the forums....I personally would love to see more russian and east european stuff in the SA..weapons..food etc but since we will need placeholders in the SA for the brands we use at the moment, this was a real funny and also technical amazing attempt to see what is possible...not more...no need for drama. and for all the wannabe loremasters out there..would you really expect to find frank and beans or mountain dew in some small foodstore in some small russian country somewhere at the caspian sea....do you really think you would find a Lee Endfield at all in such a place ??

this is why I suggested to make them more russian style and add the funny translations as easter eggs ...nobody would have complained if the brands would have been written in Cyrillic with the english translation wriiten below it... the way I see it.... There should be some sort of script or game mechanic that makes it impossible to loot your own dead body This should also include gear in tents and vehicles. Inventories of killed players should be cleared after some time ( same goes for tents and vehicles) .Tents should be limited to only one per player. Starter gear could be random, for example a watch, a box of matches, a bandage, painkillers, a flashlight, a piece of chocolate but no backpack and defenetely no weapon !! Player spawnpoints should be all along the coast from Balota up to Berezino ( I would prefer all over the map though)....no buddy spawns !!! PS: I would even ban skype and teamspeak...since this is of course not realistic I am hoping for some more immersion orientated servers...

I think you did not understand 28 days later...yes in this movie they are infected but they also all died of starvation after a few weeks ...not really clever ;) They are not logical thinking human beings anymore ! Look at the soldier in 28 weeek later which tries to reach the kids in the isolation ward He tries to get trough the armoured glas instead of trying to unlock the door...not really clever as well. Last but not least look at the movments the devs mocaped. Do you think our zeds will walk and run this way including all the spasms stuff but use doors, stairs and ladder as usual...I don't thinks so...

yap but imagine if we could combine different maps by travelling..we could have some maps like chernarus ( more countryside) linked to a huge city map ..for example something like Moscow if we keep it russian for this example...imagine the possibilities :)

Why would a city be destroyed? The zombies can't knock down buildings to the point of how it is in fallout. You would need some explanation as to how the city got destroyed, this is the zombie apocalypse, it just doesn't make sense In one of the best Zombie novels "Day by Day Armageddon" the U.S. military is trying to stop the undead by nuking all the big cities ! Thinking of a DayZ universe it would be cool to see different maps from all around the world in the future..Why not having a gigantic destroyed or at least partly destroyed urban map ? Using instances could be indeed a solution for making it really detailed without killing everyones framerates.

has it been confirmed that it will be a player forced anim...I don't think it will be...that's why I don't understand the drama..it will be just a simple anim simulating a cramp as a part of the new disease system, I think this is pretty cool since it could even happen to you during a fight or whatever...

really sad to see that so many people simply don't understand what this game is about.....this game simulates the total collapse of the modern world as we know it....being back in the middle ages or even worse...infections caused by people wet pooing at the next waterhole would for sure kill more peope (as it does in RL) than any wannabe bad ass shoot out would do... beside this I would advise you to simply check the wiki pages about Cholera, Typhoid, Hepatitis and Shigellosis....deseases that will be in the SA

Since arma 3 uses the old skeleton I think DayZ anims will even be better...maybe they will even implement this new skeleton in arma 3 ;) ...who knows...

also I guess there are different people working on the anims than on the new weapon models or map improvments for example ;)

yap that's why I said keep them but don't let us find them all over the place..keep in mind that we will see new maps in the future most likely western maps...the loot like weapons as well as food and stuff should represent the background of the map...would you expect to find the same loot in Russia, Australia and Germany ?

this is because the loot map was made by the Freemasons...
