That is pretty cool ...didn't know that :) ...seems to be a clear hint that they plan to implement/keep working street lights in some places as a feature to enhance gameplay during night ...would be cool to have some flickering lights too ... -

Learn to read....and think I never said that i do not want working street lights...they look cool and enhance gameplay ( as I also wrote) but when looking at the general map design it seems that we are not only a few days after the outbreak/collapse but weeks or more likely months. Seeing working street lights in this scenario is a bit strange without having any lore backgound about it.... but my question was if there is any info about what is planned with this... Shortening day/night circles is something completely different like the scale of the map..such things are merely representations of the real world and can not be reproduced one to one...running through a whole country within half an hour is not possible in real life for example. So changing the timescale according to the map scale seems even more realistic to me. Beside that it would be more fun to play during night and day in one gaming session.... but that's just me -

I would like to know what's the story with the street lights ...it looks pretty cool and enhances gameplay during the dark hours for sure but seems not that realistic...or is there any feature planned to locally restore electricity ? What's about the flammable oil barrels from the mod ( loved them) and last but not least do we have any info if day/night circles will be shortened in the future ( would love to see that) ? cheers -

I really hope we will never see this childish DayZ Origin basebuilding shit find its way into the SA ! There are hundreds of buildings and structures out there...all we need is the ability to barricade doors and windows and to fortify the holes in the existing fences and walls...add water supplies, light sources, cooking places and storage ...that's it .. -

Any chance to get a shortened day/night circle on these fantastic servers...something like 4 hours day and 4 hours night time (including dusk and dawn) for example ? thoughts ? PS: does anybody know if it will be possible to customize 3.person view serverside in the future, like disabling 3.person when crouched, prone or equipping a weapon ??? ( these are two points I am not happy with in the current game) cheers :) -

Played 2hours this afternoon...game runs fine and stable, no ultra lags, no freezes etc....found the new riffle, sewing kit, hard hats, ammo boxes etc...found a pair of punk style sprayed combat boots (cool)..sunglare/good ray fix works good...status reports (hydrated etc) do not reset though. playing on musty NL server :) -

heyhey I have a tip for you go and fuck yourself -
nobody would wear a payday mask in a real apocalypse and cowboyhats in Russia are as stupid and unrealsitic as wearing combat clothes and gasmaks only ( like most of the male players do)...But this is the fun part and rollplay aspect of the game but I have to agree that there is not much room for female players when it comes to that point ....btw talking about realism....isn't it more unrealistic to find only unisex or male clothes ??

falling from < 5 meters height now results in just "fuck that hurts" but no more broken legs ? This would make looting the 3 story barnes more safe :P and allow us to jump from low roofs :) -

The whole thing is absolutely basic right now and will be improved over time. Players will suffer from wounds, starvation, dehydration, diseases, infections,poisoning and hyperthermia. Item degradation will keep us busy all the time while hords of zeds will make it hopefully very dangerous to get the needed supplies especially in the bigger cities. This is just the beginning :) -

...this would have the same crappye effect like eating 10 steaks in the mod...always hated this since it makes the game too easy and turns it more into a casual shooter...right now you have to watch your ass or make friends....

Finding such a safe place has always been part of my rollplaying..A loot run should not simply be visiting the NW Airfield, looting some barracks and log out as soon as you are outside the fences... -

Voted for this already in Scubamans weapon poll some weeks ago... "Voted for russian weapons only Ak's, Nagant M1895 Revolver ( would go so sexy with the current holster) the Saiga shotgun and the Bison :) " so + 1 from me for the Nagant ( would not mind if they remove the Python for it)

It has stated now numerous times that different devs are working on different things. Engine related bugs are being worked on by the few programmers which know the engine, while map designers and artists are working on their stuff etc etc. Stopping the artists and maps designers doing their things would not make the process of engine bug fixing go faster !! Beside that it is easier to add and BALLANCE new items and mechanics carefully, step by step than to do maybe one big update including tons of new stuff. Last but not least stop being selfish....there are a lot of people out there enyoying to find new itmes since this is also huge part of the game.
