    Satelite based services like internet, mobile phones and also GPS would not work anyway after some time...allthough modern satelites have a long life time they need constant finetuning and adjusting by the control centers to work properly...

  5. Funny thing I remember discussing this some time ago and it was more or less a strict NO from Rocket. However I love the idea of random events...crashed helis, wrecked evac or military convoys, supply drops, stranded ships, crashed planes with lots of zeds around of course.... roaming herds of zeds are a must have....hidden survivor camps in the woods ...fallen tress etc blocking roads or building entrances....dead animals lying in waterholes and creeks....burning buildings (could leave a ruin)...broken wells....collapsed bridges...some of the stuff could disappear after a while, things like fallen trees, burnt buildings or collapsed bridges could be persistent. In combination with persistent items and base building/barricading this could create a constantly changing game world (saved serverside). For the maps I would be fine with being able to make my own notes and marks on it...such maps could be a real treasure especially taking the hopefully soon coming infection and desease system into account ( marking infected locations). I would also like to see some creepy stuff added like a playing gramophone...mirrors....a simple candle placed somewhere on a stone in the middle of nowhere..stuff like that PS: forgot contaminated areas which could only be looted wearing a gasmask....( could be marked on the map for example like Joe suggested) ...oh and in this case let us not forget the radio stations ( is this still on the agenda ?)

    Without zombies, mutants, apocalyptic weather conditions or nuclear fallout...where would be the apocalypse fun...you could live peacefully as a mountain man, farmer or fisherman....no need for cannibalism as long as deer and boars roaming the woods...no need for fighting for water also...only interesting thing would be attacking the neighbour village from time to time...

    Thinking of shorter day and night cicles, all interiors enterable, base building and instances ( like caves, mines sewers) infected like in "I am Legend" would spice things up ....btw the infected in 28 days later are also trying to avoid the sunlight... :)

    Scenaros like in ´"The Road", "the Book Eli"," Mad Max"! or "Metro" would of course work but would require a complete new and different game world. What I woud like to see is a much more scary and interesting kind of infected like in "I am Legend" for example. During the day you would be safe, at least outside of dark interiors, but at night you would have to hide or barricade...

    Played nearly two hours on DE exp hardcore this morning...game runs smooth like hell...found a P1 (extremely sexy thing). I am also under the impression that zeds are slowly getting better ....improved pathfinding...following player upstairs in a lot of buildings now...more challenging to fight...and as it seems better working animations and idle animations ..of course still a lot to do :) but defenetely the right direction

    +1 this is a major immersion and gameplay killer ...hearing zombies, opening cans, reloading and sorting ammo all the time combined with the annoying environment sounds that are played everywhere and much too often, ruins the gamepaly completely,especially when you play on hardcore or during nigt time and have to rely a lot on your audio visuals I really hope the new sound team will start providing some fixes and improvments soon...(some info on this would be fantastic)

    I would not mind waiting until the end of the month for the stable patch. There is still a lot to fix and improve ( throwing, stances for using the binos etc) and also fireplaces and cooking etc should go to exp. first.

    zeds... there should be a small chance that they can knock player down ( was shown in early devblogs), disarm the player, grab player, grab players backback. infect player, beat player unconscious ( for a few seconds) and of course make player bleed..I also miss the panic feature from the mod their visual senses should be very bad ( shortsighted, small field of view ) but they should react to any kind of noise or rapid movements , would be cool if they could smell blood I would prefer them mainly slow, inactive but in great numbers and hard to kill ( only head shots should be instant kills)...to spice things up there should be also roaming walkers and even a few very fast f.ckers soldier zeds (or swat zeds) should be more protected by their helmets and body armor a lot of shooting should spawn more zeds in the area just a few thoughts

    Dean said at Rezzed that this will probably come with barricading...and honestly zeds trying to get inside a barricaded building or banging on closed doors is a must have for a zombie themed game.....

    it is not a question of weak or strong...slow or fast..it is a question of ballancing ...means you always have to tweak the senses and abillities of the zombies to equalize their advantages...make them fast and deadly but give the player the chance to sneak around them, to hide or to escape them by staying out of their line of sight...or make them Romero style...very slow but in large numbers and very hard to kill... just to give a few examples...

    strange indeed...played again today for 2 hours on De exp...runs smooth like hell, had only one very short desync and lost seesion once but no lags no Rb etc...
