    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2

I've been playing around with melee a lot, and I don't get my leg broken nearly as much as everyone implies. In my experience, a single zombie hit does around 200 blood, only makes you bleed sometimes, and I generally don't get my leg broken till I'm down around 6000.

    Flaming Zombies

Flaming zombies, running around, catching other zombies on fire. I want to see this in game. I don't care how.

    Goal: Escape from Chernarus

That would be pretty cool too. The radio airlift would be a good option for lone wolf types. How about this: Radios all transmit the same coordinates and time, but the rescue chopper only has room for one survivor. This would create small pvp hotspots in semi random locations (I'm thinking mountaintops, castles, etc.) as players converged there for rescue.
  4. I would cream my shorts for a Call of Cthulhu crossover.
  5. My suggestion: Beans no longer spawn in buildings, and can only be acquired from zed. The recent food shortage in 1.7.1.? made me suspect that the beans had been secretly hidden on the zombies, so I ran out and grabbed a gun out of a deerstand to hunt zombies with in order to test my theory. It turned out not to be the case. But it would be cool if it was the case. It would force us to kill zombies in order to survive, or go out and salvage the necessary pieces to hunt, gut, and cook an animal. Even just lowering the spawn rate of beans in buildings while raising the spawn rate of beans on zombies would do the trick, I think. Also, there could be a pickpocketing mechanic for the stealthily inclined.

Suggestion: The Zombies Have The Beans

That's what I'm saying: reduce building spawns of food so the only effective way to find it is by killing zeds.

Suggestion: The Zombies Have The Beans

    They already do this. #imjustsayingtoo

Aww c'mon, where's your sense of adventure?

New Spawn Gear BREAKS THE GAME

I have not been attacked once by coastal bandits since the spawn gear change
  10. Why do I keep getting the feeling that some people don't want to have to kill zombies at all? I mean, if all you want is pvp on the Chernarus map, well they already made that game. It's called Arma2. Oh, and don't try to troll me. I won't respond ;)

    People don't wanna kill zombies?

I too have been mostly able to sneak through the game ignoring the zed and gathering gear. I think that's boring, so from now on, I vow to slaughter zombies by the dozens, and to hell with the bandits. they're all in Cherno and electro shooting at each other anyway, and not anywhere near where I hang out. Thanks for not trolling BTW guys.
  12. Ok, finally got to play 1.7.1.4. Here's my thoughts: A) Most of the bugs that I experienced in 1.2 were absent. I did also notice the fps drop after LOSing zed, but for me it lasted only a second or two, and did not require a restart. B) I like the direction we are taking with the zeds aggro range, but I think it is just a touch too sensitive. I suggest having the Walkers keep the current (or slightly shorter) view distance, and give the hoppers greatly reduced view distance. C) If the zed aggro range is going to be this far, then my guy has GOT to stop leaping to a full standing position when I go over little bumps while crawling. Maybe he could just stop moving instead? D) I noticed that after LOSing zed, it was sometimes possible to crawl right up to them and one shot them with the hatchet in the legs. E) It should be a little easier to LOS zed. 2) I kept aggroing zed that were just randomly standing around in the woods, presumably from someone else LOSing them there. This is cool. I want random zed encounters. III) A little bug that I noticed a long while back, that still persists: When you pass out from low blood, when you come to, I first cycle through several weapon holding animations, including one for a rocket laucher, and then proceed to auto move in whatever direction I had been moving in before passing out. The only way to stop auto moving is to double tap the affected controls. X) If zed are going to aggro from a long range, and we are forced to crawl in order to approach towns or buildings, then can our crawl speed be increased? This would make it a little less painful and a little more fun. () Can we have an autorun function? PLEASE? my 'w' pushing finger has been cramping up. And finally: Someone earlier suggested strongboxes that require a crowbar to open them. I would like to expand on that suggestion. I think that all military grade weapons should be in strongboxes, and require a crowbar to open them. Crowbars should only spawn in the northernmost towns. You want that fancy gun? Now you gotta really work for it. That's it. Hope it was at least a little helpful.

I just got a giant hatchet shaped boner...
  16. If you are friendly, and want others to know it, equip your flashlight.
  17. Fuck yeah! lead them out into the woods 1 by 1, LOS, shoot, loot, repeat. You're Zombie Farming!

    Flashlight: The symbol of peace.

Good point. By 'flash' I assume you mean one player equips it, then puts it away, then the second player does the same.

    Flashlight: The symbol of peace.

It takes a little while to switch to a gun from the flashlight. Long enough for someone to react, at least.

    Flashlight: The symbol of peace.

That's right. Approach me with your gun drawn and I'll assume you're hostile.

    Flashlight: The symbol of peace.

It's the same thing as saying "friendly" in chat, but easier to signal from a distance, especially once side chat is fully eliminated.
