  1. Six Launcher is completely toast, for me at least. I've done all I can, I've searched everywhere, etc. yet there's no support at all. Six Launcher will try to update itself, and fail. I've not see any outgoing connections, or any attempts to try to save itself (I.e: with a message box), it'll just exit immediately. I've tried running it as admin, I've re-installed 100 times, yet it'll spam me (And even go as far as to forcibly ALT+TAB out of DayZ (This is an unthinkable act) to reinstall a broken/non-existant version). Google hasn't helped, Their FAQ/Troubleshooting hasn't fixed, it's completely fucked. I've switch to DayZ Commander which is terrible, half the server's that are listed I can't join when I know I can, etc.
  2. Well, I've been talking to quite a few people lately about DayZ Vs. WarZ, and what we'd like to see in DayZ. From what I understand, WarZ is going to have pay-to-win elements, which means it's going to be awful. Regardless, because of the fact, people are looking more into DayZ, and what could make it better. So, I thought I'd bring it to the forums, and hopefully we can come to a consensus. Move away from the Arma engine. The Arma engine is awesome, it's a military simulator, which makes it perfect for a Zombie RPG game... however, it's complete and utter garbage. Zombies will glitch through walls, people will randomly die, etc. For example: There was 5 people on the server I was in, and I could run through Cherno, and Elektro without a care in the world, but I was low on blood. I met up with someone who had an M24 and I was in the eastern firestation in Cherno. I was near no windows, and there was no gunshot, yet I randomly get knocked unconcious, broke my legs, and started bleeding. All from standing there, with nothing around me. Zombies will sprint at you through solid walls, and knock you out, which is a major piss off. I know you've built DayZ around the engine, but it needs major overhaul. Allow specialty items to be crafted. If I understand correctly, Rocket wants to bring camps, and bases into play, in a more elegant way than duping barbed wire, and other things. Why now allow for items such as bombs (Jerry Can and a flare, or something) or trip wires, etc. to be crafted? It'd allow a more.. realistic element when it comes to bases, no one ever wants another survivor who they don't know to come into their base. Move the hell away from BattlEye. I know battle eye is starting to become a better anti-hack, but it's still so awful. There's far better alternatives to BattlEye, such as PunkBuster, VAC (I'm not sure if Gabe will allow this to be used on non-source based games, or not), etc. Make being a bandit more consequential. It's way too easy to be a bandit without having any ramifications. People will just sit there with a 50cal and snipe anyone they see, and nothing happens. There should be something that happens, maybe they start to loose sanity, and start shaking as if you were hit by a zombie and lose enough blood, or something else like that. Allow you to heal yourself more-so than now. It's extremely hard to find matches, let alone a safe place to start a fire (Unless you go into the woods), which means it's very hard to heal yourself. Sure, 200 blood from eating canned food is alright, but if you can't start a fire, it's very hard to heal yourself. I've even been playing on servers where dead animals despawn instantly, so there's no way to heal yourself properly, without meeting up with a friend, who might turn on you. There should be some way to heal yourself a bit more then 200-800 blood. I'm sure I'll think of more, but at the moment I cannot.
