Always loved pc games, specially online. Increased online gaming activities recently. In the past, played things like Close Combat and America´s Army. Currently playing online strategy and Dayz Mod while waiting for the SA.
That pretty much sums it up.

Go ahead, buy Arma 3 (another BIS game and a great one so I can mention it here), it has a built in mission editor, very easy to use, then you can design the mission anyway you want, make the hunger games and play it there. No zombies though, But they were not in the Hunger Games too I suppose. So instead of dreaming you can get a bunch of pple and play in a few days. Don´t forget to invite me. I can help if you want. Let´s play, cheers. T-Monk (steam)

Well Mercules, thanks for the reply, but for me the jury is out on this one. I sincerely don´t know what to think. You may be right, but note that the infamous ghillie suit was not a real clothe. It was more like wearing a bush. And then became the bush-man. Or the living bush with a sniper. I am talking about clothes that are really clothes, not some vegetation that you wear.

Poll: How long would you like the Day/Night cycle to be in DayZ?
t-monk replied to whatup2003's topic in General Discussion
4 hours time would make playing on day/night and seeing the sunset and rise more frequent, simulating a life in that country, like if it you really were there. This would be great on future private servers, from were you cant server hop to escape the night. -
It would be cool if they made it so that clown clothes could make you virtually invisible to zeds. But then you would be easy spot for other players. And you had to wear a mask with a big red smile and red ball nose. I just cant stand everyone wanting to look soldierish, they do it because they think its "cool". The camouflage argument doesnt convince me. I sincerely don´t think it´s more dificult to spot a player in military clothes in this game. If you are experienced and he is there, you will see him.

Bible - Spread the word, heed our Lord -What?

Didnt even watch to the end. Why do all "cool" fight scenes have to be ridicously Bruce-Lee like, with 500 guys against the "hero" fighting in the center, who kills all of them in about 30 seconds in an amazing display of killing coregraphical movements, without being even scratched? I´ve outgrown that level of intelligence at about... 30 years ago. Crappy fight scene of what looked like an interesting movie. -

Bug, look next -
The thing is. you can look civilian right now, there are lots of civilian clothing. The brown paints with 6 lots is an easy find. BUT it seems like most players want to show they are l33t by looking like little soldiers, "A bridge too far wistle-song goes here". Maybe to feel better and show they have good stuff. Or fullfill their militaristic wet-dreams. Talk about lack of imagination, Do you really think in such a situation there wouldnt be pple completely happy about wielding a military weapon, having great loot, but still look like a normal (civilian) citizen? Even the red backpack is better than the "suposedly" military bag with 30 slots, "But it matches my little soldier clothing". pfff.

So if you had a sniper it would be...hopper-killing festival. That´s what I´m talking about. And the idea is great. You can jump but... with some risks. Maybe this should be sent to Dean. -

Any idea about if it is random or depended of certain number of close disconnections-connections etc.? Did anyone else have this? To me this is important, because after being killed by a hopper last night, now my mission, is to hop to then kill the hoppers. (Who said dayz lacks and endgame?) -
Maybe we can play together? My steam name is T-Monk. Tell me urs I will add you there so we may try to play.

Temporary solution for server-hopping already in place? (true or not)

Hello folks. As you may have notived, or probably knew already, server-hopping is a real plague in dayz. This is a non-really planned sub-feature of emergent character that in mine and many others´ opinions is a real game breaker. Well, in the early dayz it was there, then it was not, (private hives). Then its a new beginning and it is here again. It´s terrbible having to server-hop just because the next guy who may (and will) kill you is doing the same right now. So let´s keep it short. First question - what do you think of this situation? Second question - I´ve read on other thread that server-hopping to much will cause your character to be deleted. Is that true? If so, this is a genius solution, maybe should be kept forever. So if you hop, like x times, depending on the interval and time spent on each server your hopping character goes to history. Great. I was hoping (not hopping) to heat something like that. But I have to know what the limits are for foresaid reasons. Any thoughts? -
